Im thinking of joining the reserves with my DF. I figure that one of the only reasons I dont want him to go is because i dont want to miss him. This way i wont have to so much.

I know that the chance of us getting all the same days is unlikely but it would at least give me something to do.

at the moment i am not pregnant so there really isnt anything stopping me. we both live near ennogra so we would both go there.

i have also allready done alot of my testing. I got into MPs this was a little over a year ago but i think i will only really have to do my PFT again.

The only reason i didnt go last time is beacuse i got a job overseas.


what do you guys think?

reserves is a great way to see the best side of defence. you get treated really well, get the best course offers and stuff like that, and is an awesome source of extra income if you need a bit of spare cash.

just be prepared that the initial six weeks is pretty tough, and you still have to do a couple of courses on top of that after you get out. i can totally reccommend transport as the corp to join. heaps fun, and lots of places to go and things to do if you're willing to do them, a complete little world unto themselves with a somewhat strange culture (or at least the guys i was with were like that). MP's is also a good option and great if you want to be really involved down the track.
