:wave:Hi Everyone,
Me and my dh are the "oh so very very lucky" couple that Sarah (WA Mum of Four) has offered to donate to for her second time. Sarah has openly and generously shared with everyone her experiences as a donor.... and so here I am (aftering making sure Sarah was OK with it) to share our experiences from "the Flip Side".
The journey to here has for us been difficult...so when a stranger that you have never met or spoken to sends you an email to say that they would like to offer you the most precious opportunity/gift - its truly amazing. For days after our first conversation with Sarah - I felt like I was walking on air. Anything was possible!!!
To say that I was nervous about meeting with Sarah and her family Sunday last week is an understatement - I was totally scared! Its hard to explain why I felt that way - but perhaps it stemmed from doubts about myself being "worthy" enough to receive such an awesome gift from someone who was clearly such a very special person.
As you know now - the day was a great success. We had a fanastic time getting to know Sarah and her family and felt truly comfortable. We look forward to getting together with them in the future and letting our relationship develop.
Since being in contact with Sarah - I have discovered that my FSH levels have dropped to an OK level and the doctors have suggested that I give one IVF cycle a go (even though very borderline). Something that I thought would never happen - I start my nasal sprays tomorrow.
:fingerscrossed: all will go well - but if not, it is comforting to know that Sarah is there waiting to assist in time. Sarah is most definitely a generous, caring, wonderful person, who along with her dh is raising four fantastic kids.
Diana
PS. We met Sarah thru this wonderful and very supportive site. Thanks Bubhub!
