cheap, but nice wedding dresses

Hi everyone, wondering if you all can help?

I would really like a small intimate wedding (no more than 20 ppl) not sure where will have it yet, but where thinking late next year or early 2008. As I only want something small wedding I would like a wedding dress that is cheap but nice (if that makes sense) I don't want to wear white (unless I find something in white, I absolutely love) and it doesn't even have to be a "wedding dress" I have looked on eBay but nothing really there, plus I don't want to spend a whole heap of money (I'm thinking $200 or under). Does anyone know if there are any online stores (preferable Australian) that sell cheap dresses? (again, doesn't have to be wedding dress).

Hello, i just got my dress made from a seller in China through ebay. It cost me $230 inc postage and i must say i am very happy with it!! i have posted pics in my thread below but they make all kinds of dresses, you can buy straight out or have them made according to your measuremnts. I haven't had any problems with them at all:thumbsup: if you want a link to their store on ebay just pm me!!

admitedly mine was on sale but I got mine for $99
I you want semi-formalish, wedding shops have great sales after christmas (thats how I got mine) lots of nice bridesmaids dresses around at the moment for online check out its budget bridal or something could give you a few ideas!

I got mine from a chain store outlet called 'Harts'. It was $300 on the rack and I needed $50 of alterations. Easy! Keep your eyes out on formal wear stores - often they can make the same dress in white for you.

Oh - I forgot to mention - you are in Victoria. If you can make it out to one of the DFO's (Essendon is good :)) then try to get there and have a look around. You might be surprised!

I cheated and found the dress I wanted ($1600) and had a designer create a pattern of a simple variation, as well as a pattern for a bridesmaid and flowergirl dress. My mother made all three. All up it cost me $500 (including fabric). If you don't have the luxury of someone close making the dress, ask your friends. You never know there maybe a friends Aunty/Cousin etc who is handy on the machine and could use some extra cash.

I got mine a ferrari formal hire... They sell cheap as formal and wedding dresses...

I was actually thinking about getting someone (friend/relative) to make a dress for me (that is if I can't find something I love) I know sort of what I want but I am not sure. :confused:

hi, i didnt want white either so i just hit the boutiques, the dresses ranged from $90 to about $500 and i found a gorgeous one with plenty of tummy room hehe
