due to the large number of mums here who are using cloth i thought it would be interesting to see what percentage of us bubhubbers use cloth and how many use disposables. and who uses a combination of both.

I voted for cloth but we do usually have a packet of sposies in Hugh's room for emergencies, eg Hugh gets diarrhoea and I can't keep up with washing and drying- don't have a drier.
Since getting my new wet bag I use cloth when we're out and about now too.

Up until 3 months ago we we're using disposables fulltime now we're clothies fulltime  We don't even have spare disposbles for 'just in case' in this household, I refuse to use them but that's mine and DH's personal choice.

We use modern fitted cloth at home and disposables when we are out or when he is wearing his Baby Gap jeans coz they won't fit a cloth nappy underneath.

I am even surprised at myself, I would never have thought in a million years that I would use anything but disposables but I find pocket nappies to be more absorbent and of course they're pretty cute.

Its also a bit of a 'weird' thing to do in my family and I like to retain my position of black sheep. It amuses me. :D

No debate from me, I have no reason to use cloth, I just want to.

I voted disposable (Huggies and Aldi) because that's what I use most of the time. I use terry flats in the afternoon and evening as "nappy free time" has become far to hazardous now that Sarah's on the move.

Hey guys,

I an glad to see so many people are using cloth.

my friend and i did some tests with her little one and we discovered a money savings of about $100 / month when using cloth. thats a lot if your paying off a home.

and this included having a few plastic on hand for emergencies.

As i will be a SAHM for at least a year i think cloth would suit me fine.

I love to see a line full of clean white nappies.

We use a combination of disposables and cloth (love my BB bamboo:thumbsup: ). There are pros and cons to both and I like to think I'm getting the best of both worlds.

cloth.
when i started using cloth (still fairly recently) i thought i would just use some disposables and some cloth, but turns out i am too lazy and tight to be bothered buying sposies anymore:laughing:
i find it too convenient to know i can just wash the nappies and reuse them:rolleyes:
but i may use sposies again as back up, if i can get around to buying some.

We use cloth 90% of the time and just disposables when we are out and about for extended periods. I love the look of the big bottom and the white cloth line.

Sounds like us!
I am so lazy so modern cloth is wonderful. Much easier. Also don't mind an 'old fashioned' flat with woollen soaker. Actually I am a sucker for the covers more than anything. We used cloth on our holiday the last couple of days. Easier than going to the shops and filling the bin. We were limited at the resort with our rubbish also.

Go Modern Cloth! Since I got my last "fluffy mail" 4 weeks ago I have not even had to use a "disgustable" once- Hoorah! I love flats too, but only just found out about woolen soakers, so I might give them a go with the flats (stopped using flats do to DD's problem with exposed elastic) As above, so happy not to have stinky bins anymore! (or to have to trapse out to garbage bin in the scary night or rain!) And so happy to have more in the family budget every week too!

I'm a closet disposable user! :o
I really am not happy about it, and i think I am going to have to delve into the world of cloth, I've always been really intimidated by it, it seems so complicated!

Off to try and educate myself!
