Ladies,
I posted an "ad" in Oct (pasted below) and have been on the discussion boards since. Heard there are some potential donors in Queensland, so thought I'd do a new thread to say we would be more than willing to travel within Australia for an egg donor - it's the least we could do.
"My husband and I have been married for 11 years. When I was 30 I had a large ovarian cyst. Thankfully it was benign, but when it was removed, I lost an ovary and both tubes.
We have been on IVF (12 times) in two separate clinics for the past 4 years, with no success.
We are now looking for an egg or embryo donor to make our dream come true. We both have so much to give a child.
We'd love to hear from anyone who could help."
A bit more about us....
Since starting the IVF journey at 33 we have become very focussed on having a family of our own. I have a wonderful relationship with my parents (frequently asked if I'm an only child because of the involvement we have with each other - I'm not), and we'd like the opportunity to continue that with the next generation.
Hubby has a natural affinity with young kids, without encouragement they seem to click with him, especially the boys they end up following him around.
We both have so much to give a child, we'd love to have the opportunity.
Alice.
