the same number of bridesmaids as groomsmen?
Traditionally I mean.... as I know I can do whatever I like when it comes down to it lol but DP wants 2 groomsmen and I want 3 bridesmaids and I'm not sure how traditional I want the wedding to be... sooo I need to confirm to help make the decision!
And is an 18 month old going to be old enough to be a flower girl? She will have her then aged 5 and 6 yr old brothers to help out tho.
TIA :)

I think the only reason why some people like to have an even number when it comes to the bridesmaids and groomsmen is simple because it looks even for the wedding pictures KWIM but if you want 2 and 3 then thats totally up to you.. there's no "rule" that you have to have an even number.
18 months isn't too young to be a flower girl aslong as the boys are there to help and maybe assign an adult to keep her supervised whilst you say your vows and whatnot.

Not at all!
Not only for photos but also when you enter the reception the bm's and groomsmen usually walk in in pairs and are introduced to the party.
At my cousins wedding she had three bridesmaids and a junior bridesmaid and they only had three groomsmen.
You can do whatever you want, although it would depend on how the other bridesmaid felt about not having a partner.

lol yeah I'ma ctually hiring a nanny to come along for the day to be in charge of all 4 kids.. that way I dont have to worry about them and I also dont have to worry about DP or my parents escaping to tend to the kids and missing vital ceremony parts! And bubbles are a must of course lol
I hadnt thought about them walking down the aisle in pairs... okay that decided for me I want it even either DP has another groomsman or I have one less bridesmaid (good thing I havent asked them yet lol)

We had one groomsmen walk down with a maid on each arm.... not a prob
Uneven numbers is fine! You might want to have another friend or family member lined up to partner the odd person out if your having dancing at the Reception though. Friends of mine did this.

I think I've decided to make it even and we can have two of each.. I think I prefer that to having 3 bridesmaids anyway as then the bridal party will get two big
