 Hi!
Good on you for going the cloth nappy route! Everyone I know looks at me as though Im insane:ecomcity: Dont they realise the effect disposables have on the enviroment and their wallets???
Let us all know how you go with the peapods! I use pocket nappies called beetlebums, and nic naps hemp all in ones. I was using terry squares originally but had to find an alternative as the exposed elastic on the pilchers (or pilchards as dh calls them:laughing: ) was giving her a welt like rash! (poor bubalouie!) which is how I cottoned onto modern cloth! I finally have enough nappies in the nappy stash now- havent used/bought a disposable in weeks!!!

I know how you feel, people are so negative too- now I'm so confident with MCN I look forward to going somewhere to show them off!
And I must say I love not having to buy nappies every time I shop:thumbsup:

just a question with pocket nappies, i brought a microfibre booster for night time does it go in the pocket with the other insert or does it go on top?

It is really up to you - I have some boosters that are topped with fleece so I put them on the top of the nappy instead of inside - other's I pop into the pocket!

also when the nappies have been used do you wash in cold, warm or hot water?

That too is up to the individual person - I wash in cold only and never have a problem others only wash in hot! As long as you line dry as often as possible it won't really matter which you do.

Zarasmum - I always washed in hot water up until a couple of weeks ago. I now wash in cold/lukewarm if I'm line drying. If it's a wet day and I need nappies I wash in hot and tumble dry. If I've got some really pooey nappies I'll wash in warm/hot aswell.
Once a month I'll add Dettol Sanitising wash to the rinse cycle. If I dont' have that I'll add a couple capfuls of eucalyptus oil.
