I'm back from the scan......

Well I'm back and there is only one little bubba in there. There is still two sacs but only one baby so it looks like the other one hasn't developed. I'm a bit sad as when you look and can see two sacs there should be a baby in the other one. The baby that's there is doing well and had a good strong heartbeat it was great to see lil bub again and he even did a little dance for us:smiliedance: .

So all is well and I've only got to buy one of everything now i don't know if I would have coped with two anyway. It is meant to be.

Great to hear the good news that all is good with the baby... it is sad that you have two sacks but only one baby... but you are right it was meant to be. It is still great that you got to see your little dancing baby! They are so cute when they bounce around like that in your belly.... it makes me nervous though for when they get bigger.... ouch! All that puncing and kicking is alright when they are only 6 cm..... but what about when they are bigger!:eek:

Glad to hear your little bubba is doing well! It must be a strange feeling to think that there may have been another for a little while. But at least the bubba you are growing was exited & bouncing around to say hi to you!

hi fozzie. i had the same thing happen with me (with dd3) i was carrying twins, 2 sacs, to fetol poles, but only one heartbeat. its very sad, as you always think what if :hugs:

Hi fozzie, I'm glad to hear your little dancing bubba :smiliedance: is doing good and you're positive about the whole thing. Did they tell you what happened with the other sac?

They think it might have been a blyted ovum or it was when I had a bleed at five weeks that it hasn't developed. The other sac is still there but will most likely have gone by the 20 wk scan. I'm ok about it after all I wouldn't have known if I hadn't had an early scan. These things happen for a reason and I'm just thankful that the disco bub is doing well.:)

I've been wondering how you are doing Fozzie. That would have been a sad moment for you. I'm so glad that the bub that is there is doing so well. Don't know if it helps, but there will be a little of the other bub in your bub forever as the surviving twin and yourself absorb the other one.

The same thing happened to me. the doctor said that it happens alot but most women just don't know that they are carring twins. if ya ever need to talk i'm here.... i know that even though the other baby is fine you still moan a little for the one little angel.
