View Full Version : Anyone using s26 AR Formula & Avent teats?
Hi Guys,
Just wonderng what teats you guys are using with the AR Formula?
I just started my daughter on her 1st tin today and only have size 1-4 teats. Size 3 and 4 are not working as they keep getting clogged up. Is there another one I should be using? Someone said a variable flow teat? Does this come in size's or slow/med/high or just one flow rate. My daughter is 4.5 Months Old.
If someone can help, that would be great.
 my little man has been on the ar formula since he was 10 weeks old and i use the avent teats the ones he is using at, are the ones with 3 holes in them and they work fine. (but cody is a slow drinker anyway. ) The variable flow teat have fast medium and slow speed in one just depends which way you hold the teat diffrent angles mean diffrent speed.
Hope that helps!!! :D

I have trouble getting G's formula to work in different bottles... He has the cheap as Dimples ones from Big W (6 for $9) and they seem to work fine...
Thanx for your help. Maybe I have to eat them longer. How long do you heat yours for? I heat the water for 40 secs then add formula.
Im getting lumps/clogged teats should I heat longer?

Try shaking it a little bit better. Dont have to shake it longer but maybe a little stronger will help. When DD was on S26 AR i had her on avent 4 teats and worked a treat. Sometimes it did clog but i just shook up the bottle a bit more to mix it more properly.
Thanks for your help guys. I will try shacking it up more and maybe heat the water a tad longer too, as maybe the formula is cooling the water down too.
Might give the variable flow teat ago too. Guess everything is a learning curve & you wont know until you give it a go. And maybe the more bottles of the AR she has the better it will get, guess its only her first bottle of it, so I can only go on how she went with this first bottle.
Thanks again guys, it means heaps when others are willing to help you out.

My daughter was on Enfalac AR formula as a baby and we had the same problem. She had a squeezable bottle and we found that no matter how hard we squeezed it, we couldn't even get one drop out of it, even with a fast flow teat. We ended up solving the problem by making up thebottles in advance.....a couple of hours in the fridge seemed to get rid of all the lumps.
Charlotte just had her 2nd bottle of it. I zapped it for 60 secs then added the formula & shook it like more & used a 3 teat hole & worked fine. Just took about 15 mins to drink the bottle, as she doesnt guzzle it as quick now.
Thanks again!
