Ist Bday Invites & Teddybear picnic theme..

Hiya All!

Wondering if anyone can help me.. Its my boys first bday in a couple of weeks, and I still havent sent the invites! So first up, has anyone created any good invites, (with lovely words etc) that they could share some ideas with me?

And secondly, I think Im going with the theme of a teddybears picnic. Just Family and close friends int eh backyard... Any ideas anyone could offer to help me pull it off would be much appreciated!

Ok, heres hoping I can pull it off! Daunting task really, and Ive been thinking about it for at least the past few months now! I really should act sooner!

I'm in the process of doing my daughters birthday (though decided against a party as we've just moved to the area)
my friends twins were 1 at the start of this year and they sent out invites from the boys (and we in turn responded to the boys) not sure when your party is but maybe some wording like this (i'm taking a creative licence from Teddy bears picnic song):smiliedance:

1. If you go down to (place of party) today (date of party)
Your sure of a big surprise - Its (boys name)'s First Birthday

2. Please come to give your beary best birthday wishes to (boys name)

Aslo could have teddy bears as centre piece use bear shaped cookie cutters and cake tins for biscuits and sandwiches (should be able to find these at woolies/coles or Big W/Kmart)
If you want to go a bit bigger then a local party store should have bear theme plates napkins cups etc and balloons... maybe get your son a bear shirt or something (probably have these in crazy clarks, the warehouse etc)
