I've been told that a dairy free diet mght help my babies loose, frequent bowel movements. I started today with soy milk on my cornflakes :barf:

Is anyone else following a dairy free diet for breastfeeding? Did it help the symptoms?

I went dairy free when I was breastfeeding Brianna due to her colic. It helped hugely! She stopped getting the acidic poos and she had far less wind pains.
Eventually she was able to have dairy - I re-introduced it slowly.

Im dairy and wheat free for my benifit and for bub, he is simply the happiest baby if Im careful with what I eat, and that makes anything taste good.

I have rice milk now as some kids and adults can react to soy, with anything easier to start slowly then cold full on into it.

Vitasoy the purple carton it the nicest I found in my tasting over the years and the same brand for rice milk.

As babies tummys' cant break down the protein levels of dairy, till about 2 years, that goes for formula too, they tend to react to it, some symtoms we see as reflux, or bowel motion of bloating etc.

 Ice cream is the hardest thing to give up but I have found something better rice cream "moto" brand help food shops have it...yummy
