Hiya,
This is a funny question and it might seem obvious, but I'm puzzled...
I calculate AJ's age on weeks e.g. shes 20 weeks, so in my mind that is 5 months. However, my girlfriend calculates her bubs birthday by the date every month (iykwim).
How does everyone else do it? I'm confused... I'd like to be getting it right.
I calculate months on the actual date per month - ie 15th of each month
I did it weeks until 12 weeks, now I do months by date...
Too hard to remember weeks!!!

Is that how everyone does it? Damn that means I'm thinking she is two weeks older than she is...

I did it by wk's until Ds was 12 wks then went in Months eg..3rd of the month, one month older
My DS is 5mths on Friday - 03/11
Yeah well otherwise you'd end up celebrating her 1st bithday a month before the actual date...

I suppose I just kept going on with weeks from the pregnancy... but your right, it doesn't add up!! Damn... so I have longer to wait til she can face forward in her car seat then :D
Thanks :)
LOL Sorry hun!! :D I think the carseat goes by weight really anyhow... ;)

I do it by calender month too.
My sister calculates her pregnancy by weeks.....so her pregnancies go for 10mths whereas everyone elses go for 9.
My friend's sister swears that 4 weeks is a month and will not listen to anyone that tells her otherwise so I'm kinda waiting to see what she does when her DD gets to being 1 but in her eyes will be 13 months already. It doesn't add up. Some months have 5 weeks.
As far as car seat...yep it's a weight thing, not an age thing. The age is just an approx. cause most babies are 8kg around the 6 month mark. DD's car seat is rear facing until 12kg and at 11 months she hasn't even hit 8 yet so she'll be rear facing for a while!

I do it by the actually date of the month, not weeks :) eg: peter will be 23 months on the 15th November ;)

I go by months. I mean, for the first few weeks of her life, I said she was "4 weeks" or whatever, but I never thought that 4 weeks was the same as 1 month....because, in actual fact, 4 weeks is only 28 days... the same amount of days in our SMALLEST month of Feb! It's a bit ridiculous to think that way IMO.
DD is a month older every 25th day of the month.

Amaris is 30 weeks today, I always refer to weeks rather than months ,but come the 5th of the month I will say she is "officially " 7 months by the calender IYKWIM (not sure I do actually!!:D ) Will probably start to do it by months when she hits her "official" 9 month mark.

:yelclap: Well done to you!
I would have lost count after 12 weeks i think lol Months is easier for me ha ha
Bubby was 12 weeks old on Monday and was three months old yesterday (Tuesday), so I say three months now because it has finally got quite close to the weeks and the months correlating.
Someone once told me that you tend to count their age
in days until they are about 2 weeks old
in weeks until they are about 4 months old
in months until they are about 2 years old
and years from then on in.
So far that seems roughly to be what we have done.
Once they hit about 16 weeks the whole month/weeks thing was getting too confusing so I used the date each month as the counter.

Hi
I fell into the mistake of counting in weeks then converting it to months and my bub was actually one month younger than I thought. With pregnancy I thought it was 40 weeks gestation with isn't 9months. The midwives always count in weeks so thats what I did.
