Hiya Ladies,

Sorry if I've posted in the wrong area but I had no idea where to post this:o

I'm sure there is already a thread on this but I wasn't sure. My dilemma is this - is that I have 2 beautiful kids - 1 girl and 1 boy with just under 2 years apart between them. I would like to have another and have given myself to the end of the year to conceive. I never wanted the age gaps between my kids to exceed 4 and 6 years hence the end of the year limit.

But I know that if I dont conceive by then end of the year and we decide on no more, I will regrett it in the long run - but I want No.3 to have a close relationship with his other siblings - like my other 2 do now.

I just don't know what to do:confused:

So my questions are - Should I let nature takes its course how ever long it takes?, Am I being to "technical" in all of this?, Did your children still have a close relationship with big age gaps?

Your advise would be greatly appreciated

Anita

Hiya!

I do think a little too technical..... all kids are different. They may grow up hating one another (as my sister and I did 16 months apart), but now we are all in our 20's & 30's there seems no age gap at all - even with my brother who is 4 years younger than me.

So,, being close in age does not necessarily mean they are going to be close in personalities.

My two eldest are 3 years apart and play great together.

I say let nature take its own course, I always wanted a 2 year age gap between my kids but there is no way now that that can happen unfortunatly, chances are even if they are 3 years apart they will still be fairly close as your other 2 are

Hi,
I am the eldest of 3 girls. We are now 30, 28 and 22. When we were younger my littlest sister was on her own with mum (which she probably loved getting all mums undivided attention while we were at school). Since she has been about 16 we have all been extremely close and hang out together, have meals together, pub together etc etc.
I think it was great for everyone.
I think if you let nature take its course you will have a wonderful time no matter what the outcome. Good luck!
