I saw these too, but my first thought was "ok, what's wrong with them for them to be so cheap?" When i read through the description, i found that they don't need a cover...because they are made with PVC on the outside! PVC can't breathe so my first thought would be that they would cause nappy rash and wouldn't be too good for your baby's bottom...
I'm no expert though, so anyone can correct me if i'm wrong:yes:
I havn't seen them in real life or anything but they do appear to have what I think to be a really long rise on them, kind of looks like they would sit up under bub's armpits - I could be wrong though.
And as stated above - they have a PVC outer.
-- hmm I don't think I'd touch them with a barge pole
It appears to be the same seller who was selling the flannelette 'nice nappy' s from china - and they were pretty shocking from all reports.
They don't sound very good for the following reasons
The PVC - as mum2 eloise mentioned it's not breathable and not a good idea to put on a baby bottom -- the end result would be nappy rash ... think of how your bottom would enjoy being incased in plastic all day -- eww
The '3 layers of absorbant material' hmm what kind of absorbant material exactly ?? if it was anything natural (hemp, terry, cotton flannellette etc) then there should be more than 3 layers ! or it would be useless
If it is three layers of microfibre then it needs something else in there as as well to protect baby's bottom from the microfibre.
Then there is the 100% cotton claim ... which bit is cotton ? if it's just the inside then there is nothing keeping baby's bottom dry - ie wet cotton will be right up against their skin as soon as they wee. If they mean the 'absorbant material' is cotton then they need more than 3 layers to hold the wee.
They sound like a bargain - which probably means they are too good to be true.
hmmmm
item located in china........:shame:
my 2 cents......
