Dp and i have discussed getting married but telling everyone we're just having a holiday and return home marrried. We have just had bubs number 3 and have been through alot of tough times in the last few years. I know my mum and grandparents will be really upset oh and my friends but i love the idea. I would love too hear from people who have just eloped. :yes:

Haven't done that (not married yet) but just wanted to say good luck with it, I'm sure certain family and friends will be a bit upset, but they'll get over it, I would love to go away on a nice hoilday somewhere and elope (only have a few ppl with us) guess we'll see what happens, hopefully I can convince Grant...

We eloped this year! April Fools day to be exact ... rented out a heritage listed house and had a weekend wedding/honeymoon there ... it was blissful ...

When we told everyone we were expecting flak (it was MIL's first born's first wedding) so her nose was a little out of joint, but once we sent her a huge wedding album full of photos she was fine ....we don't have a single regret about it ... it's the most fun, stress free wedding you can have ... *hugs*

We didn't elope as such, but had a very short engagement and were married in Bali with only 10 guests. It was the best day of our loves and I can thoroughly recommend it!
Our best friends just got married Tues 31/10 in Mauritius and we were the only guests - it was perfect! They were going on their own (major family issues) and when we offered to come they agreed. They then said they were so glad that we came as they may have felt a bit funny on their own and saw a few other couples get married on their own and they looked a bit sad.
I do love that we had a few people with us on our special day - but the decision should be yours and yours only.

just do it! And then go home and have a big party, that way people wont feel like they have missed out completely:)
