View Full Version : First cycle in few days part 5
hi Donna- glad to hear you had a great holiday. its good that you are trying to stay ivf free for a little while. you are such a lovely person and you made a tear come to my eye when you said im like a little sis to you. thats so nice. i dont have an older sis. so if you want you can be my cyber sis. :hugs:
hope you enjoy your ivf free time. cant wait to see you back. but the end of november isnt that far away.
Tonysgirl Hi there!! So glad to see you back. Im really glad your holiday went well. Noosa is lovely. A tan always makes you feel better i think. Thank you for your wishes, i appreciate it. I am so happy to have got this far this time.. i know i have a way to go before my BT but its closer than i have been before. I didnt even make ET last time. I will miss not seeing you on here for a while, but you gave us all the weening process by going away for a while i guess  so now we should be used to the missing post just for a little while. Goodluck with your next cycle.
Bradysmum Goodmorning. I hope you had a great weekend. I look forward to hearing how you go with your nanna, i hope she gets into the place you want her to go.
sksty Hi there, yes IVF is such a waiting game. Its frustrating. But all worth it when you get the BFP. What is happening with you now? You are waiting to see your Doctor again arent you?
Leannej I will be sitting by my computer waiting to hear how your little eggs go today. I have my fingers crossed for you.
Hi to everyone else, i will be on again later to see how you all are. As for me, i am good. Eating healthy, drinking just 1 cup of decaf tea a day, and just plodding along. I have been getting a bit of cramping, bit like period pain, though i have had these pains on and off through IVF when i was taking the Puregon, and the nurse said i would feel some cramping, so hopefully thats all it is!!
Tonysgirl Just an after thought... well i was thinking, you know you have been away for a while, and you are having time off bubhub for a while, but i think you should start your break tomorrow

Hi there friends,
Sorry I have not been around much but I was reading someones posts last week somewhere..and they suggested to someone to try "flylady"
http://flylady.net (http://flylady.net) to keep up with the housework and get routines in place. OMG I am addicted. I have joined, it is free and am happy to get my 20 emails of suggestions of what I should be doing to keep my house in order. My sink is looking amazing!!(If you know what flylady is you will understand). So am obsessing about my house instead of my body at the moment, although today I am feeling a bit neg about some cramps I am getting and the feeling of thrush which I get every damned period......anyway enough about me
Mel J: how you feeling sweety?
LJ: TOMORROW!!!!!! I'll be thinking of you!!!!!!! good luck with BFP!!!!
SKSTY: Thanks for helping e feel better about the craping. How you going?
Bradysum: How is the handsome boy? Abbey is at preschool today, Santa is visiting for pics. No reindeer, they had to stay home coz it's too hot! How you going with Nan?
leanneJ: looking for ward to hearing from you today. Will be watching for your post.
Tonysgirl: Hi !
Chilligirl: How are you feeling after your et? Hope all is well
Bech: I too have a frozen embi and am wondering what the odds are of them thawing..do you know a %rate? I think you are a brave woman. I wish I could help you wth your little girl while you go through your next round. Do you have family? I dont so Abbey is dragged around a lot each cycle. It does put a strain on the family and I cant imagine how hard 5 days in hospital would have been. big huggggs
crafty_gnome: how are you today?
Macmum: How are you feeling?
Jacquit: Hello, still wondering how you are coping sweety?:hugs:
LJ Harmony: How are you going today? Is it still snowing? Are you in Australia???
Fliss16: Hi! Nice to meet you.
Firstimerivf: Hi there!!!
Shajake: How those bubs hanging? LOL
HPFP: Good luck for tomorrow! Will be thinking of you.
Trendyi: Hi there!!
Donna: Nice to meet you!
iuimummy Hi there, i have seen flylady before too, but never had enough time to look too much into it. I might give it a go. Its good that you have something to take your mind off the wait. I guess its getting frustrating. When is your BT due? What types of pain are you getting? I had period like pains right after ET and that night, and last night, then pinkish/brownish stuff today when i went to the toilet, but the nurse told me it is completely normal, and happens. Made me feel better.:)
Hi everyone, hope you are all having a not too bad day. It has been more than a month since I last posted!!!
Beatrice, have you had the twins yet????
Our computer is so VERY OLD and it is mostly luck that I get to post- a lot of the time it crashes before I can even read any posts. Really SORRY everyone. Also our 5th ICSI failed, and really, to know there is only one more left is hard to comprehend. We always said we would do 6 and we only have enough money for one more anyway. We will probably go again in Jan so that I don't have to give up alcohol over christmas!!!
My son Henry is well and I try really very hard to 'count my blessings' as many people tell me. I am very lucky to have a happy and healthy son. But I will probably die wishing I had had about 10!!!
I re-did a painting I had with some pretty strange symbolic IVF images in it and it won a competition- how amazing is that???!!! They say good art comes from the heart so maybe here is the proof! It had a picture of my dog Blossom in it too and I called it 'Congratulations it's a dog!'.
Shajake-hope all is well
Bradysmum- hope Brady is jolly and fine
Donna- see you when you get back!
Take care everyone, hi to all the new people!!
Vanessa x
Hi everyone, just a quick question, does anyone know why some clinics use pessaries and why some do the injections after ET? Whats the difference?
OK I've just read a few more pages...!
Beatrice wasn't having twins, now I remember! Did she have a boy and is everything alright??? Can you fill me in Bradysmum?
Shajake is having twins!-Hope all is well
Melj- BEST wishes for your 2ww
Bradysmum-sorry to hear things have been hard for your Nan x
Vanessa x
artymum Hi there, glad to see you back. I hope you are well. I hate computers that dont work properly!! Beatrice hasnt had her little boy yet. Not long though. I wish you all the best for when you start your next cycle. Have a good day. :)

Hi girls,
Mel, Im not sure why some clinics use the pessaries and some use needles, have no idea! Hopefully someone can help you out. Im keeping everything crossed for you, even my eyes:eek: !!!!!
artymum, congrats on your painting winning! Thats great hun! Brady is well thanx only 5 weeks till his b'day!!!! Hope to see you around more!!! Sorry your last cycle failed hun.:hugs:
iuimummy, I will check out that website. God knows I need a hand when it comes to housework! LOL!!:D
L.J, 1 more sleep!!!!!!!!!!:fingerscrossed:
Leanne, any news from the clinic yet??
IUImummy - I suggested www.flylady.net I have been flying for four months and it really changed my life. I am still far from perfect but the house is just so much tidier generally. Everyone should try it!!!!! It is hard on the kids but I really want her to grow-up with a sibling her favourite word is "BABY". My % for FET is just over 30% with a 15% of twins if I put 2 back, which we will. It's not too bad 30%.
Well thanks again everyone, the Doctor's say I was pregnant and lost the babies, or baby, i think I found that harder. But this morning I feel a bit better (no tears as of yet) and have thrown myself into the housework (yay for flylady). Day 1 today and BT for FET on Day 12 so it starts again.
Hi Everyone,
I have missed a bit by the sounds of it over a few days, I hope that everyone has had a great weekend.
MELJ: CONGRATULATIONS ON THE 2WW and I wish you all the best for the 2ww!! Glad to hear that everything has gone well so far. Keep yourself busy and sit back and relax (I know easier said than done). In regards to your question I do not know the answer, at our clinic you use crinone and have 1 injection of Pregnyl during the 2ww, I know it won't help you much.
Artymum: Wow winning a prize for your painting must of been good, I always wish I was arty in some way-but no don't have that talent at all!! Good to hear from you again and I am sorry to hear that your last ICSI did not work. We have also set ourselves a limit on the number of tries that we have. I know how you feel with your son and you should count your blessings - I am the same with my daughter but I also watch how much she loves babies and to be able to play with a younger brother or sister. I actually had a bit of a down day on Saturday at my DD's swimming lessons as there are so many little babies there and I kept thinking when will it be my turn.
Iuimummy: Hi, I just had a quick look at the website and will have to go back later and have a proper look, thanks for that. Good to hear that everything is going well for you.
Tonysgirl: Good to hear from you and i am glad that your holiday went well and you had a great time and even got a tan - well done!! Can't wait to hear from you again when the time is right and I hope that all is well and it won't be too long before we hear from you again.
Bradysmum: I hope that all goes well with your nana, they are a worry aren't they, my nana is having a knee replacement op today so that will slow her down a bit for a while. Hope all is well with your family.
Leannej: Can't wait to hear how those eggs are going.
LJ: All the best for tommorrow, will be waiting to hear how it all goes. OUr night out on Friday was great and my friend is doing pretty well considering. It was great to go out and have a few laughs.
Chilligirl: Congratulations on the ET and all the best for the 2ww.
SKSTY: Glad to hear that the birthday party went well, it is so hard finding room for the presents after the party, it is like you need another room!!
HPFP: Wishing you all the best for tommorrow. Let us know how you go.
LJHarmony: How are you going? Hope that all is going well for you and you had a great weekend. Wow snow - we are in the Northern Territory and spent the weekend sweating as it was hot and humid!!
Well there is not much new in our world, I had a bit of a down day on Saturday - just kept thinking is this ever going to happen, in a couple of weeks it will be 2 years of TTC and I just kept wondering if it would ever happen or should I count my blessings with DD. Woke up alot better on Sunday though so I am glad about that, I think it was just one of those days. We had an eventful day yesterday with a trip to the doctor as DD decided a couple of weeks ago to put a couple of little pebbles in her ear. We only found out on Saturday night when she told us, so luckily they could get them out easy enough. I hope that she has learnt her lesson. Sorry to the people that I have missed I know that I would of and hope everyone is well.
BecH: Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better, and you had such a rough time with your hospital stay as well. I think that I have pretty similar % rates as you. We are having our FET this month - still waiting on AF she is late!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have to wait a month before you can do a FET, we had to wait a month after our 1st round of ICSI in September and are just waiting for AF to arrive to be able do our 1st FET. Every clinic is different as this site has shown me though. - Just read that you are doing FET this month sorry!!
hi everyone
well my nurse rang with the results today. she said out of the 7 eggs only 1 fertilized  . she doesnt know why. she said to ask at et and they will know more. it has been a depressing day as its so hard to believe that from 7 eggs only 1 fertilized. but i supose i should be lucky that i got 1.
so im having ET at 10.30 tomorrow morning.
sorry theres no personals, im a bit down. maybe later.

Hi everyone,
I have posted this three times, but it doesn't appear to be coming up.... don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I am learning (slowly) the lingo and how to join in here and have been reading over previous posts to try and work out what everyone is up to.... You all sound so lovely and supportive and I hope it is ok if I join in.
leannej - Sorry you are feeling dissapointed about your fertilisation - I wish you the very, very best for your ET - it only takes one good one, and hopefully the one you have is "the one":fingerscrossed:
mel and chilligirl - congratulations on the 2ww - I hope to be joining you soon - any tips on how to make it go quicker ??????
LJ - Good luck for tommorow
BecH - So sorry you are going through such a hard time - I hope that next month is the one for you:fingerscrossed:
:detective: I wondered if you would be able to give me some much needed advice....
I have my trigger injection tommorow monring at 1am  and then my EPU wednesday lunchtime - ET Friday lunch time.
As this is my first go, I don't really know what to expect. i am already feeling quiet sore and don't know how much time to take off work (I am a school teacher).... Any advise would be great.
Thanks so much and take care everyone,
Love Emma. X

firstimeivf: welcome welcome welcome!
Leannej: Hey babe well done on your egg!!!!:yelclap: It really does only take one!
Mel J: I had strong cramping 3 days after ET and then nothing. this morning I had the dull ache I get when my AF is coming. I have had no spotting, although spotting is a good sign of implantation...so :fingerscrossed: for you!! My FT rang me todAy to see how I am and I was wondering if that was because she was expecting AF? My ET was 20th OCT and BT is due Monday 6th Nov.
Bech: I am wondering how you are going with flying. Is it a bit overwhelming at first as I am wondering if I am going a bit OTT. Just the hot spot stuff, Iam still staring at them as I am realy tired. I am writing up a family schedule, and hubby is looking at me like I have 2 heads. What have you done?
Firsttimeivf: Hi and welcome, you will enjoy the wealth of information that you get on this site - I know that I do. We completed our 1st IVF/ICSI attempt in September and I only had the day of the EPU off work, I was not too bad the following day and the ET was on a Friday and the day was fine (I do not to strenuous work) but I had a bad night of cramping that night. It certainly doesn't hurt to have some time off. For our FET some time this month I will be taking the day of the transfer off just for some time to myself and to relax I think. Wishing you all the very best for your EPU and ET this week and let us all know how you go and feel free to ask any questions. Again welcome and good luck.
Leannej: Sorry to hear that your news was a bit disappointing, as someone else has said it does only take 1 and I will have my fingers crossed that you have the one. I hope that everything works out well for you and your ET goes well and I hope that you are feeling better about everything soon.
Mel-j - Welcome to the 2ww. I used crinone on the first cycle and this cycle the Dr has given me Pregnyl (2 injections during 2ww). The nurse told me that Pregnyl is more aggressive and direct than crinone and is normally used when you only produce a few follies.
LJ Harmony - Keeping my fingers crossed for the next test.
Leannej - Sorry to hear that you are feeling down, but as everyone keeps telling me 'it only takes one'. I'm sure it will be a good one
HPFP - Good luck with your ET on Tues.
Tonysgirl - Glad you had a nice holiday and have got a lovely tan. Enjoy showing it off!!
Craftygnome - Good luck with follies and EPU.
Artymum - So sorry to hear that your cycle has failed :hugs:
Bradysmum - Sorry to hear about your nan! Hopefully she can be with her sister and at least having care 24 hours a day will be a big worry off your minds.
iuimummy - I'm feeling totally stressed out with the purchase/settlement of our house on Thursday and not even having time to think about the 2ww. Oh well, it makes the 2 weeks go quickly. Hope you are well.
LJ - Congratulations on the 2ww! Unfortunately we have got lots of work to do to the house before we can even move in. Luckily I have a lovely neighbour, who is going to give me a hand when she can. We went and had a look on Saturday and we both thought "what have we done?". To be truthful, I am looking forward to the challenge, but Sat evening I stood at the sink and cried and cried. DH said whats up and to be honest I had no idea, probably just hormones. Good luck for BT tomorrow.
BecH - I was sorry to hear your news, :hugs:
Chilligirl - Good luck with the 2ww, it's great to see so many that far in the ivf cycle.
Thanks Shajake and Trendy1, hope you are both well.
Good luck to everyone else.
Well back to sorting out boring paperwork.
Here I am!!!
Thanks iuimummy and bradys mum for your queries on my whereabouts, and thanks BecH for your pm.
WELL....... I have to admit, i am honestly honestly feeling a bit weepy after catching up on everyones news. It's like watching a movie. i haven't been on for ages, i had to go back to about page 45 on part 4 just to catch up!!!
Where to begin...
Sorry if i don't write a personal to you, but i have read up on everyone and best wishes go out to you for where you are at...
But personals to a few of you...
Tonysgirl: welcome back but au revoir again - glad you had a great time away and have a nice break from bubhub before your own ivf begins.
BecH: I am SO Sorry to hear your news. Sending loads of hugs and love. thinking of you.
MelJ: Great news, sounds like things are going well, take it easy now.
beatrice: so long for now, can't wait to hear news of baby's arrival via dh - take care adn all the very best for the birth.
ME: Well, I'm 31 tomorrow (on the 31st ha!) and in 2 days time we would have been testing for pregnancy if we hadn't had a cancelled cycle. Bit sad about that but feeling pretty "over" the depression - well sort of. I guesss I'm just being positive and looking to early next year for the whole process to start again. FS had no explanation, they really were quite confused - I am a bit weird like that. DH and I have had some great support form people at our church so prayer has been helpful getting us through the frustrations. poor dh has probably been a bit more upset than me - I think he just feels so "useless" that he "can't get me pregnant" that's what he says, so sad  I don't want him to blame himself - fertility is a two way thing. Anyway, as I already said, FS says I ring on the first day of next AF and see if we can begin then - that'll be Dec - but because of Xmas, i reckon it'll be more like Jan.
Well ladies, hugs to you and wherever you are at. Been thinking of you and promise to come back again - not as long as 2 weeks though!
bye for now.
jt xx
One more thing...
LJHarmony: Snow????? where do you live???? Aren't you Australian?
Hi everyone, i hope you have all had a nice day.
Leannej Hi there, sorry to hear about your eggs, thats dissapointing when you had a good amount, but in saying that, you did get one to fertilise  and thats great. Thats all i got to start with!! So tomorrow is ET, then we are on the 2ww together. All the best, you will be fine.
macmum Thanks for your congratulations, i appreciate it. I am so relieved to have made it this far. Where are you with the IVF at the moment?
Trendy1 Hi there, i am glad to hear you have cheered up a bit. It does get you down doesnt it. I cant believe your daughter only just told you about the pebbles!! The poor thing. I hope it is all better now. Goodluck with your FET. Bring on AF
iuimummy Hi there, i had some painful cramping last night, but i took some panadol, glad to know others get it too! You tend to worry a bit i think when you go through this, so its good when you know others have similar symptoms. I go for my 2nd HCG shot tomorrow morning.. gee i cant wait. God they are painful.
firsttimeivf Hi there, wow a trigger injection at 1am! Thats a bizzare time. Anyway, its hard to know how much time to take off. If you are having it Friday, i guess you will have that day to relax, then the weekend, depends how much physical stuff you have to do at work. I am taking it easy, but i had mine done Saturday and its now Monday, i am doing washing, ironing, but thats about it, my husband does the vacuuming at the moment. I think by Monday you should feel a bit better, but if in doubt, i guess the best thing is to take a few days off next week maybe, and then you will know for sure you have rested well. But on the other hand, if you are just sitting and not doing too much, you should be ok. Sorry, ive probably made no sense and confused you now. My nurse said there is nothing i can do to make it work, its just nature, if it is going to implant, then it will. Thats what she told me anyway.
Hi to everyone else, i hope you are all well. Have a great night.
mel-j - I had my ET last Friday, so I'm on the 2ww at the moment.
macmum Hi, sorry, i probably knew that, just forget due to all the different people going through different stages, hard to keep up. When is your BT then? Mine is 15th November. How are you feeling? Any cramps?
jacquit Fertility is a two way thing, you are right. I hope your DH doesnt take it all on his shoulders. Its not his fault. I guess the best thing is to just look forward. And like you said, you will probably try again in Jan, so i wish you all the best with it. Turning 31 on the 31st, thats a memorable one :)

Jacquit: Good to hear from you.Looking forward to seeing how you go in January.happybirthday
LJ: How exciting about the house. Remember the dust mask if there is old walls and carpet etc being ripped up.
Got a little idea, hope you all like it! Everyone on the 2ww, cut and paste this and add your date for BT so we can all count down eachother together. I'll start...
IUIMUMMY: Mon 6th NOV.
mel-j - Don't worry, I was going to try and catch up on the past few weeks, but there has been so much going on!! BT is on 10th November. Where has the year gone  . I'm feeling ok, still a bit sore from the EPU, had to be put back under as I was coming round!!! Apparently started to bleed quite bad. Hope it does not affect ET. No cramps at the moment.
How about you? It's a wierd time, just waiting knowing what could be.
Got a little idea, hope you all like it! Everyone on the 2ww, cut and paste this and add your date for BT so we can all count down eachother together. I'll start...

TESTING FOR NOVEMBER:
IUIMUMMY: Monday 6th November
MACMUM: Friday 10th November
LJHARMONY: Monday 13th November
Good evening all -
Wow - part five started already!!
Mel J - Hi - yes it sounds like you are on the pregnyl injections. They are normally 3 injections 3 days apart during the 2ww. My nurse told me the injection is lutenizing hormone that makes your follicles produce more progesterone which is what needs to stay high to hold a pregnancy. I have had both the Pregnyl the pessaries and the crinone gel (all at different times) and much prefer the Pregnyl (no mess!!! IYKWIM). For me on the pessaries my progesterone only gets up to about 33 but when on the Pregnyl it gets up to 100!!! Which is fantastic. Apparently you can only use the Pregnyl if u have follicles (u cannot use it on a full HRT cylce where u don't produce any follies) Try not to concerntrate too much on the cramping. I have had it as well slightly and mild ones all thru me 2ww. Good luck for the 15th Nov - bet u cannot wait!!
Tonysgirl - So glad u enjoyed your holiday. I can just picture your lovely tan now - I think I should go to Noosa!!! Thanks so much for popping in and letting us know how u are going. I completely understand what u mean about taking a break - I have had to do the same myself. BIG BIG hugs to you and good luck for your next cycle (not long now) And last but definalty not least - make sure u have a hell of a time at the U2 concert - scream your lungs out for all of us bubhub girls. Miss u already (its not good-by it is "chat to you later) :hugs:
IUI Mummy - I know it is hard but try to ignore those cramps (I am trying the same thing) I just relised we had our ET's on the same day (20/10) but I have my BT tomorrow and yours is the 6/11 - I wonder what the difference is??
Artymum - Welcome back and I am so sorry your last ICSI did not work out. Your painting sounds amazing - I am constantly jelous of creative talent like that. I just think it is so special.
Leanne J - Hun I am sorry you did not have more of your eggs fertilise - I can tell you are dissapointed. Just try to focus on you special little one that is obviously a fighter - you'll be meeting him/her very soon :hugs:
Firsttimeivf - Hi there - it really depends on how you feel as to how much time you have off. Maybe you could organize to have several days off after EPU and ET and if you feel up to it then go back early. Some girls are a bit sore after the EPU. After our transferes I like to take at least one day off where I am a lounge lizard and queen of the DVD player and remote
Macmum - Cry all you need hun - its good for u and you always feel better after a good cry and a warm bubble bath!!
Jacquit - Hi there - so glad to hear from u. I am sending u huge hugs and loads of HAPPY BIRTHDAY kisses. Hope you have a great day tomorrow. Good luck is coming your way for 2007 I can feel it - you have all the amunition you need from your last cycle so it is going to go well
Thought I had better add my name to this list (although I only have one more sleep to go YAYYYYY!!!)
Got a little idea, hope you all like it! Everyone on the 2ww, cut and paste this and add your date for BT so we can all count down eachother together. I'll start...
IUIMUMMY: Mon 6th NOV.
MACMUM: Fri 10th Nov.
L.J: Tuesday 31st Oct (tomorrow!!)
Hope everyone is having a good night. Will let u know of my BT results tomorrow - I am soooooooooo nervous about it - my head has been foggy all day and I have lost my appetite. Keep all you fingers crossed for me girls xoxo
lj- everything is crossed for you and let us know how you go thinking of you.
jacquit-happybirthday happybirthday for tomorrow hope you have a wonderful day
firsttimeivf- everyone is so different i didn't need to but i took the week off and just lied around the house which probably wasn't the best idea cause thats all i thought about. i'm a dental nurse and on my feet 10 hours so that was my excuse. do what you feel is right.
leannej- you only need one darling so stay positive and keep us informed and good luck for tomorrow
trendy1- tell me about it we have a spare room but i still don't know where to put it all
melj- i finally got my af 3 days ago and i start clomipine tomorrow till day 8 and then bt 8th nov
iuimummy- waiting to start fet and it has been so long i had forgotten the process and i'll about it my first bt is 8th nov and i'll be asking lots of questions.
bradysmum- i could hardly get the kids off the jumping castle to eat let alone play games but we did get in pass the parcel. pin the nose on the clown. and statues where the music stops and they have to freeze and if they move their out.
Breanna cried alittle that day and just wanted me to carry her around i don't know if it was to many people or she wasn't feeling well or tired but she was a bit of a nightmare. goodluck
tonysgirl- welcome back glad you had a good time on your holiday

Sksty: This is all new to me but anything I can answer for you I will, although there are some ladies here heaps more experienced than me!:hugs:

Jacquit - Happy Birthday! Hope you have a fantastic day and get spoilt rotten!!!!
iuimummy - Hope you had a great time at playgroup. Can't wait to join one myself!
I had my EPU yesterday and they took 12 eggs. Will find out later today how they are all going. ET will probably be Thursday. But we had a sign last night they are doing well (and you will probably think I am crazy for this!!) We have a tank with sea snails in it. Well a few weeks ago they laid a bit pod of eggs and we have been waiting and waiting for them to hatch. Well last night they did!!! My DH came in this morning saying its a sign its a sign. The embryos are doing fine and growing and splitting. Couldn't keep him quiet about it for half an hour!!! How gorgeous is that!!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

Good afternoon ladies,
Well after dropping Jake at creche and popping into our local Toyota dealer I'm back. Wow part 5 already.
LJ, bring on AF. I think the worst part is the not knowing. I'll be 25 weeks on Thursday.
Bradysmum, It's a difficult time for all of you. I know when it was time my my nanna to go into a nursing home we felt the same way you feel. At least there she is under constant watch, so people are able to get to her aid much quicker.
Sksty, congrats on AF arriving, now you can really start. Glad Brees party went well.
HPFP, Thanks for congrats. How are you? I hope all went well with EPU today. I hope you're not too sore.
Melj, Welcome to the 2ww hun and well done the good emby. Sending you lots of baby dust.
iuimummy, I had cramping during my 2ww. Hang in there. Not too long now.
BecH, Sorry to hear that you're having a hard time at the moment. Keep you chin up and do what's best for you and your family. I think it's harder to that you were pregnant, then if you weren't. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. It is even more challenging doing IVF with a little one. I felt the same as you do. DH and DS miss out on so much while I underwent treatment.
LeanneJ, Welcome to the 2ww hun. Well done on your 1 embie. Eventhough you're disappointed, remember it only takes 1 to fall pregnant. Good luck with your 2ww and baby dust coming your way.
LJHarmony, I love the snow.
Artymum, LOL, the twins are I are well. Just would like them to party during the day, rather than at night. Good luck with your next cycle in January.
Trendy1, Kids!! you just have to love them.
Firsttimeivf, I was sore for a few weeks after EPU. However I found that 3 days post EPU I was doing everything fine. Maybe take 3-4 days off work if you can just so that you can rest. Good luck for tommorrow.
Jacquit, happybirthday happybirthday to you. I hope you have a wonderful day. May all your dreams and wishes come true.
Crafty_gnome, well done your 11 fertilised eggs, that's great.
Well I must get back to doing some work and then I'll take a break at 1pm for a cuppa and days of our lives.
Did anyone see Grey's Anatomy last night?
A big hello to everyone.
I cant believe this is up to part 5 as I have been away for a while.

I watched greys anatomy, i havent seen it for ages, so i was lost, couldnt work anything out. I dont know why that doctor is back with his wife, thought he liked the other girl, which he must, after last nights show and what they did :o then that other girl got proposed to, i havent even seen that guy who proposed before!! I might have to start watching it again, its intrigued me. My mum is hooked.

Macmum: How cool that we are testing on the same day. I have an overwhelming urge to do a HPT before the BT (but that might be cos I'm a bit of a control freak and want to know everything before everyone else does ;) ). How are you feeling ... any twinges?
MelJ: You're very brave to be having all of these injections. Keep your chin up. Had to chuckle about your Grey's post... I'm addicted.
LeanneJ: Fantastic news on your ET. Take it easy.
HPFP: Sorry if this has already been covered but did you have EPU today. If so, hope all went well for you.
LJ: Hangin' out to hear your news. Good luck
Shajake: Grey's Anatomy last night!!! Yeeeesss!!! Never miss it! Cant believe we have to wait until next year now for the next episode, what to do on a Monday night now???. I reckon Dr McDreamy a sleeze... a cutie but still a sleeze.
Mede1: Hi  . Good luck in the TWW. Any twinges?
LJHarmony: Wow, snow that must have been just beautiful. I gather that your in Tassie somewhere. It's a fabulous part of the world, I've had the chance to visit quite a few times and I've always loved it.
Bit of an update: I had heaps of bloating and pain over the weekend after EPU on Wed and ET on Fri last week. Rang the FS yesterday as I had excruciating pain over my right ovary. Five (yes really five) hours after ringing the emergency number (and I'd tried another three times in between) I finally spoke to a nurse who told me that the symptoms were likely to be a result of the fact that I bled heavily from my right ovary during surgery and that she thought that i'd probably be OK. But, she said to be on the safe side that I could see a dr tomorrow. Well, my DH went right off and rang the director of the service to make a complaint. I had been in heaps of pain throughout Monday and I guess I was just worried about all the possibilities that this sort of pain could be. Anyway, saw a dr today (she was great, much nicer than my usual dr), had BT and examination and all is OK. She thinks that I had hyperstimulated over the weekend, hence the extreme bloat and fever and that the ovary pain was post surgical. Well the short of is that I'm OK and dont need to do anything other than keep drinking heaps of water and make contact with them if anything changes.
Still on crinone pessaries (they're just great....not) and waiting to hear if I'll need another pregnyl injection tonight. Hope not but we'll see.
Sorry this is so long and sorry to those who I have missed. Hi to those who have recently joined with the site. Thanks to those who have shared their good wishes.
Take care

Chilligirl If you have to have a shot of pregnyl why would that be? Arent you having the pessaries? Do some people have both? Sorry, im just still learning here.
Mel-j Not sure why this blood test is so early maybe because im on a natural cycle because it was a FET I havnt been on any medication before or after the transfer.
Chilligirl - No twinges but a bit of cramping, how about you.
I had to ring my nurse the day after my transfer as I was spotting mainly brown but a tiny bit of red as well. She said this could be due to the procedure as you body is very sensitive to foreign procedures. Spotting had stopped until today but cramps have been ongoing
But :fingerscrossed: for all of us.
awwwwww thanks ladies for all of your good wishes.
Have had a fab day and still have dinner out to enjoy - Japanese! yum!
Chilligirl: Scary stuff - what a slack clinic - so glad your DH got on to it and sorted them out. Also glad you are ok.
Sorry no more personals girls - must go have a shower and get ready to go out.

Hi Ladies
Shajake & Chilligirl I cried like a baby this morning watching greys as I taped it last night I guess you could see it coming but how sad was it and I agree that Dr McDreamy has turned into a sleeze I feel sorry for the vet now.
Jacquit happybirthday happybirthday Glad to hear you have had a nice day and hope you enjoy your japanese for tea.
Mel-j I get the impression that it is only our clinic that makes you wait so long for the blood test. I have looked in my trusty diary again and all of my BT's were 2 and 1/2 weeks not 2.
CraftyGnome Well done on getting 11 out of the 12 fertilised that is fantastic.

Iuimummy- that site is great. thanks for the link. it is now in my favorites.
Chilligirl - I can't believe how quick this week is going, but I know I am going to be so busy from Thursday with the new house - it will be a good distraction!!! I felt totally exhausted this afternoon and thought I would have a 10 minute power nap - 2 hours later .......... I must put the hoover round before DH comes home, or he will wonder what I have been doing all day  .
Glad you are feeling better, it's worrying especially after ET and you are still feeling so sore. I still feel a bit sore, but hopefully the excess bleeding during my surgery will not cause any problems with the ET, as still not 100%. I'd love to do a test, before the 10th, but will be good and wait for the BT.
Keeping my :fingerscrossed: that all will go well for all BT's. Looks like a busy few weeks coming up.

Hello everyone,
I have been reading with great interest all of the posts for some time. I have been nervous about butting in though. I am trying ivf for the first time and am up to day 6 of injections and am starting to get nervous about what may or may not happen. I am worried that my dh who had a vasectomy 6 years ago wont have any sperm that are viable, we are doing an icsi cycle but did not have a trial tesa, on the advice of the doctor.
Could anyone tell me some of the medications they are on. I am having 350 of puregon a day and have a ceterotide injection tomorrow as well as my first scan. I will need to have two more of these over the next few days. Is there any special way of doing the injections without giving myself a bruise, other than not using trembling hands ( I hate needles).
Sorry for butting in, I hope everyones baby dreams come true.
Thankyou for reading.

Caz74, Dr McDreamy is a sleeze, but he can sleeze on me anyday. I just wish he and Meredith would make a decision re their feelings for one another.
Jacquit, Ym - Japanese
Macmum, how are you holding up? The 2ww is the hardest thing I've had to do in a long time. Especially seeing I'm not very patient.
Fourboys, Welcome. I was on 300 of Puregon but not on Ceterotide. I don't even know what that is, I'm sorry. Re the needles, I used to pinch my skin as hard as I could and just inject. The first couple are the worst, but you'll soon get used to it.
Bradysmum, His mouth must be so sore, I used to use Bonjela and Panadol or Nurofen. It makes them feel so much better. Hopefully you all get a good nights sleep tonight.
A big hello to everybody else and I hope you're all enjoying your night
fourboys Hi there and welcome. Goodluck with this cycle. My DH had a vasectomy a few years ago, he was married before, then we met, wanted a child together, so he had it reversed, it didnt work, so he had the trial tesa, and they got motile sperm, and i have just had my transfer and my egg fertilised with his sperm. So there is hope. The tesa works very well. I was on 150iu Puregon 1st cycle, then it got cancelled, 2nd i was on 350iu, but Dh sperm didnt fertilise the egg, so next cycle he had the tesa and i went to 450iu. I got 4 follicles, only 1 egg, but it fertilised and i now have a little embryo inside, lets just hope he stays there. Goodluck.

L.JHarmony, my mum spotted the teeth so I guess she will have to buy him an outfit, LOL!!!!!!!
Got some good news too, my mums cancer has gone completely, she had her blood test today and recieved the good news. They are going to do another bone marrow biopsy and take out some stem cells to keep frozen in case it ever comes back because with this cancer it can, but they said it might not happen for another 10 years. We are so happy!! My dad and mum are off to Tassie next week for a holiday with their friends so at least mum can relax and enjoy it!

Hi bradysmum
Thanks for the Birthday wishes!
Was a very low key one this year! Had yummy greek dinner so that was great! and lots of time with my little man while my big man was at the races!!!!!!
He bought a beautiful bunch of red roses to make up for it!
Hope you well and little bradys OK. James got a stack of teeth all at once, whic was kinda good as he was pretty cranky for a while but then once they came out he was much nicer! Their whole face changes when the teeth appear!! I found cold watermelon ( with most of the red cut off) really good for soothing for James while he was teething. and he still loves it now. Would eat a whole one if i let him!!

Carolyn
Good morning ladies,
I thought I'd pop in and say good morning and wishing you all a wonderful day.
I will pop in periodically during the day and say hello.
Hugs and kisses to all.
Speak to you soon.
LJ - CONGRATULATIONS. :smiliedance: I'm so pleased for you and your DH. Take care and look after yourself.
Shajake - How are you feeling? Any twinges yet? I felt exhaused yesterday afternoon and a 10 minute power nap turned into 2 hours. Maybe thats a sign!!! After all the weeks of treatment the 2ww seems to take forever.
Bradysmum - Glad to hear your mum's news. Hope she has a good holiday.
 Macmum, I'm feeling fine. At the end of the day I'm just exhausted, but that's what being pregnant will do to it. Sometimes a nap is all we need to feel better. The 2ww is hard, try and keep busy, that seemed to help me get through. What are you up to today?

:D Congratulations LJ!!!!!!
Wow get it into your head girl
:yelclap: YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!:yelclap:
Wow, I have tears running down my face I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting............
I feel like AF is coming.........I hope I get through the weekend. Going to get my grocery shopping . Be back on this arvo.
Good morning iuimummy, Enjoy the shopping and see you this afternoon.
Shajake - Busy day for me, which is good. The dog needs a hair cut, so thats 2 - 3 hours, plenty of housework, dog walking, then going to do a final inspection on my new house before settlement tomorrow. How about you, anything exciting today?
Macmum, not really, I thought I might take Jake to the park so he can have a run around and ride of his bike, then I might meet my mum for a coffee depending on what she's got on. Other than that, I need to cook some dinner and do the usual stuff.
LJ - congratulations - i am so so so so happy for you. That is such fantastic news. Well done. I bet you are in disbelief. All the best with your pregnancy... now lets hope your good luck rubs off on some of us other hopefulls!! :smiliedance: :smiliedance: :yelclap: :hugs:
Bradysmum Hi there, i am so happy to hear your mothers cancer has gone. That is fantastic news. I hope Brady is feeling better with his little teeth :hugs:
Shajake Hello. Sorry to hear about your father inlaw.. i hope they work out what is wrong soon. How did Jake go overnight in big boy unies?
jbearsmum Hi there, i cant wait to hear your results. Only 6 more sleeps :)
sksty Goodmorning. happybirthday to Breanna i hope she has a lovely day. I had a quiet one yesterday. Tennis sounds like fun.
iuimummy Goodmorning. I really hope AF isnt coming for you, maybe its just the usual type pains that go with ET. My friend came over yesterday and she had her daughter just naturally no help, anyway, she was positive her AF was coming, she had all the sypmtoms, and now she has an almost 5 year old. Goodluck xx
Hi to everyone else, i hope you are all well. I just have a question, maybe a bit too much info here, but.. i went to the toilet thismorning and there was a bit of discharge type stuff... just clearish type, is that ok? If i was on a normal cycle, my AF is usually 28 days, and i would be on day 24 now, so surely its not ovulation?? Wouldnt that ruin it?
Have a great day everyone.
Shajake - Have a good day, I'm off to give the dog his hair cut!
Hi all,
LJ: Congratulations on the :bfp: that is fantastic news!!! All the very best at this special time and no doubt you can't wipe the smile off your face.
Bradysmum: That is fantastic that your mum is all clear, my mum got the all clear in early 2003 and has been good since. It is great to get the news. I know with my DD she had no teeth until 10 months and then had 8 by 12 months!!! She was a late bloomer but then caught up very quickly. Hope Brady is feeling better.
Shajake: I hope they can work out what is going on with your FIL soon, there is nothing worst than not knowing what is wrong. Glad to hear that you are feeling okay - apart from the tiredness!! By the time you read this you would of been to the park so I hope you had fun and enjoyed the break whilst Jake played.
Jbearsmum: Not long to go now, lets hope these days go nice and quickly for you.
Sksty: Happy birthday to Breanna and you have a wonderful day with her.
Iuimummy: :fingerscrossed: that AF stays away and that you get the results that you are after. Not too long to go before you will get the results.
Macmum: Hope you have a good day taking the dog for a haircut and doing your final inspection, I know when we did ours for the house we live in now we were like - have we done the right thing, but I haven't looked back since it became ours!! Hope it all works out for you.
Now I know that I have missed a few people but I have to finish to go and get the mail and do the banking for work, so will try and catch up when I get back. Hope everyone is well and take care.
Fourboys: Hello and welcome, I can't help you much with the drugs as we were on different ones by the sound of it, but I was on Lucrin injections and then Gonal F as well and I had 75 of Gonal F, so quite a low dose. Once I had done the EPU and ET I had 1 injection of Pregnyl and had to use crinone (I think that is the name) up until either the BT or AF arrived. In my case AF arrived on the day of the blood test. Wishing you all the best.
Congratulations L.j to you and your DH, fantastic news :smiliedance: . Rest up :)
Mel.J - Good question I have had the same thing but my cycle is usually betweem 28 and 31 days. Im on day 23.
So it will be interesting to hear what people have to say.
mede1 Hi there. I rang my nurse, and she said its quite common and nothing to worry about with the discharge, she said with the hormones they have given me, and the whole process, it is common for that to happen, i was worried about ovulating etc, but she said no that wouldnt happen, because when they take the eggs out, they are making me ovulate then. Anyway, hopefully we are both going to get a good sign soon. Take care.
Trendy1 - Well just finished the dog  . Unfortunately it was not one of my better efforts (do it myself) - must be hormonal :D . Well at least he does not go too far for a walk being 14 this month.
My friend is coming with me to inspect the house (she is so excited), we have been walking past it for the last 4 months and she is terrible for peering through the fencing to see if they are doing anything. I have already booked her and another friend for Friday for degreasing and cleaning duties, before we start with the coat of paint to make it look clean and liveable.
We know it is the right house, but living with renovations for months/years on end does not seem very exciting, especially if this ivf cycle has worked. I'm sure it will be a challenge  .
macmum Hello. Are you taking it easy? Or just doing your regular routine stuff? Just curious as to how laid back you should be. What about all the women who are pregnant and dont know, and they all do their usual daily routines, so maybe its a case of if it will be then it will be? Its hard to know. Im hoping it works for all of us November testers! :fingerscrossed:
Hi Macmum: I would presume that you have a fairly hairy sort of dog to take that long to wash it!! We have a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback and a little Kelpie cross (we don't know what he is crossed with though!!) At least with a house you renovate on you get what you want and not someone elses ideas, we are going to do some renovating next year and I can't wait - a new kitchen for me and a bigger lounge room!!
Melj: Hi, how are you going? I know with my DD I did not know I was pregnant till I was about 7 weeks I think. And I found out a week after my birthday and we had celebrated a bit too much!! I never suspected as AF can be very irregular for me and we are both fine now (except the pebbles in the ear!!) With my 1st transfer I just went about things normally but just tried not to lift heavy things, as our nurse said to us "do what you normally do but don't do anything too strenuous as there is nothing you can really do that will make it work" I thought that was great advise - but that is me!!
Hello everyone
Just a really quick post to thank EVERYONE for their beautiful words. I am busy at work and there are so many sticky beaks here - sometimes it is hard to get on with out someone reading over your shoulder!!
Will definaltey catch up with everyone over the next couple of days and will be sure to update you about our BT on Friday
Thanx girls - you are the best:hugs:
Hello ladies
How are you all?
LJ: :yelclap: Congratulations on BFP I'm so happy for you. All the best for Friday.
Bradysmum: Great news about your mum. How is Brady (poor thing).
Melj: How is 2WW? Fingers Crossed for BFP.
iuimummy: :shame: AF stay away. Put your feet up & relax. I hope AF does not arrive. Good Luck with BT.
Macmum:  Good Luck with 2WW.
fourboys: Welcome. Unfortunately the injections bruise you no matter how you inject them.
craftygnome: Great news 11 out of 12 fertilising. Goodluck with ET & BT.
Chilligirl: I love Greys Anatomy, I prefer the Vet don't get me wrong the Doc is cute but he is a sleaze. Can't wait until next year. Sorry to hear of your ordeal I'm glad you are alright now. Good Luck with 2WW.
Shajake: Hello. I am little sore after the EPU yesterday. Slept most of the day. I am in a bit of pain today. How are you going?
Jacquit: happybirthday sorry it's late but had EPU yesterday & slept most of the day.
trendy1: Hello. How are you feeling? Don't give up hope.
BecH: How are you feeling? I hope you are better. Good Luck with FET.
Sorry if I have forgotten anyone. Fingers Crossed & Good Luck to everyone what ever road they may be on.
I had EPU yesterday ( Tuesday 31.10.2006). They collected 5 eggs (i had 9 eggs last cycle & only 1 embie). I was sleeping most of yesterday & was in pain, panadol became my favourite friend. I bled this morning but the nurse told me it was common as long as there is no heavy bleeding I am OK. Still in a little bit of pain but better.
Just called the hospital ET tomorrow. I was a little worried about ringing because I had 5 eggs ( I was comparing it to my last cycle). I don't know how many fertilised they don't tell us because day by day the embies can change. I've asked for 2 this time around. As of tomorrow I will be on 2WW & BT will be on 16.11.06.
What states or hospitals tell you how many eggs have fertilised when you ring up for ET time?
I am with Freemasons (Victoria and they don't tell us until the day of ET.
HPFP Hi there. Im glad you are feeling a bit better. ET tomorrow, only 1 more sleep. I bet you are excited to get this far. Well done. You will be inducted into the 2ww gang.
I had my EPU on a Thursday, and they rang me the next morning to say if it had fertilised, then they rang on the saturday to say whether it had progressed and when to come that morning for ET. Im in South Australia. Your BT is the day after mine.
mel-j - I am just getting on with the day to day stuff at the moment, but will have to do a lot of things to the new house and of course, the dreaded moving. I won't lift anything heavy and my friend said no nasty chemicals when cleaning. But everything as normal. During the last 2ww I was more careful and did less, had more naps, but things did not work out in the end so, I think the best thing is to just listen to what the body says this time.
trendy1 - I have a West Highland White Terrier, who is lovely and a new member of the family is a 3 year old rescue Dalmatian, who is a complete nutter. I love Rhodesian Ridgebacks and have seen quite a few when out walking. Totally agree about the house, looking forward to designing and starting renovations.
HPFP - Thank you:wave: . I am also with the Freemasons and they did not tell me until I got to the hospital on Friday how many eggs were sucessful. I thought they told me the on the first ivf cycle, but maybe I was wrong.
Well time to get ready and view the house
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

 Hi girls,
HPFP, I was with Freemasons too, they told me how many embies fertilized on the phone but that was over a year ago, maybe they have changed things?? Congrats on your EPU!! Good luck for ET!!!:fingerscrossed:
Macmum, I wish I knew how to groom my dog, I wouldnt know where to start, he is a Maltese/****zu and can get very fluffy. Our friend is a dog groomer and and she does it for us. Good luck with the house!!
iuimummy, fingerscrossed hun!!:fingerscrossed:
Hope everyone is well, sorry if I have forgotten anyone but I have a nasty headache and Brady has just gone down for a nap so Im praying he sleeps so i can tiday up the house!
Will catch up later girls!!

Hello everybody.
Just a few personals still not well.
Mel-j: Well done honey, the 2ww.I hope & I dream & I pray that love will find a way. ( who sings that song).
Shajake: Just read your post & you mentioned that your fil is back in hospital with really bad nausea, I too have been batteling the same for the past week and abit. I went to 2 doc's & emergency, they all said don't know gave me pain killers that may as well have been mints. I managed to get into a gastroenterolgist on mon night, he to said:confused: . I am going in for a gastroscopy on friday so hopefully find some answers. I have lost around 4 kilo's, surviving on soup & crackers. I would be interested to hear how your FIL gets on.
LJ: How sereal must this all be feeling right know. It never really sunk in with me till I started showing. I AM SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU & YOUR DH.
Bradysmum: Thats so great about your mum. I was a challenge when I was a teenager so didn't really appreciate my mum or my dad. My dad and I USED to butt heads at every level,(we are very much alike) He was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the end of last year, then severe depression as you probably already know. In a strange sort of way having all this change has changed our relationship in a huge way for the better. I no longer take my mummy & daddy for granted.
Jbearsmum; hope everything is going well. not on the herbs or anything at the moment till I get some answers. Thinking of you.
Hopeing to find some answers for the nausea on friday:fingerscrossed: .
I am not aloud to try any fertility wot so ever until they get to the bottom of this ab pain. I am so frustrated:banghead: .
Of to make spiders with merci. changs noddles mixed with peanut butter & chocolate mmmm. She wants to take some to mothers group 2morrow.
take care everybody
kerri.
I may be one of the last to receive the news BUT,
Wahoooo LJ. Fantastic news. Congratulations.
:yelclap: :smiliedance:  :yelclap:
Hi Bradysmum: Hope your headache goes away soon - there is nothing worst than a headache that lingers all day!! And you are doing the cleaning - you are a good girl, I looked at the house last night and thought about cleaning but decided against it!! Now when I get home I will have to do it and the washing!!
Mercimum: Sorry to hear that you are not well, lets hope you get some answers very soon. Have fun at the mothers group and the spiders sound very nice.
Melj: I have been back but couldn't find it - can you tell me how your DH makes the pumpkin thingys - I hope you know what I mean. Glad to hear all is well with you.
Macmum: enjoy the rest of the day with your inspection.
HPFP: Well done on the EPU and all the best for the transfer tommorrow, we will be waiting to hear how you went. I am in the NT and they ring the morning after EPU to tell you how many eggs have fertilised overnight. All the best.

Thanks bradysmum for enquiring about dad, as far as the cancer his first bt his levels went down which they said was really good. Apparently the first test they normally rise because of the treatment. He has another bt this month so we all have:fingerscrossed:, as you now. I guess I struggle a little bit with the fact that okay dad has cancer(prostate cancer) is being treated for that area. All going well he will be all clear down the road. The thing that gets me is the constant reminder that it may come back, and you never know where? amd if it is worth. I guess we have to enjoy the here and now and not wot it?
As far as the depression that's still a daily struggle, 15 yrs of build up then bang. I think that is worse for him than the cancer because it effects him everyday.
Arn't you glad you asked:laughing:  .:ecomcity: .

Hi all, I am a professional dog groomer. I was doing it before it became a trendy job LOL, I have travelled the world grooming dogs for some of the biggest dog shows on the world including Crufts in 1988, Westminster., in Madison Sq gardens NYC and LA. My life has been showing and breeding Poodles, both Mini and Toy. I am glad to have time at home now with Abbey instead of grooming as it is really hard heavy work. I just thought I would share.
hi everyone
hope you all had a great day.
first i would like to congratulate L.J on her :bfp: , i did see you post last night but was to tired to post. but when i sore i was :yelclap: . good luck with everything and take care. lets hope this is the start to all the good luck that is around the corner.
HPFP: well im at monsah clayton, vic and they call the day after EPU to tell you how many have fertilised. wishing you all the luck for tomorrow and hope you get to transfer 2 like you want. cant wait to here how you go.
Sktsy: i would like to say happybirthday to Breanna. A first birthday day is always very special.
also to everyone on the 2 ww i hope you are all doing well. :hugs:
Evening Ladies,
Thanks toall of you who enquired about my FIL. We have heard just about an hour ago that the cancer has returned and is currently at the base of his spine. It's inoperable but they will be trying radiotherapy and hoping for the best. The nausea was because of the cocktail of drugs he was on.
I may pop in again later.
Have a good evening.

Thankyou for the welcome and for responding to my questions. Thankyou melj (hope that is right, my computer is soooo slow that it will take 10 mins just to go back to the right page.) I had my first scan today, they told me the c injection is to stop ovulation. I have 17 follicles at this stage but the doc said to expect the numbers to decline. Egg pick up is expected for a week today.
Thanks again and congratulations to all who are nuturing new souls.
shajake: i dont know what to say about your FIL. just hope he is a fighter and he can get through this, hopefully the radiotherapy helps.
im sending you and your family all my love :hugs: :hugs: .
thinking of you.
Hi L.J: just wondering and im sure evryone else on the 2ww is thinking the same way. what was you seceret to a BFP? did you go back to your normal day to day things during the 2ww? or did you rest and not do much?
oh and again congrats :smiliedance:
Thanks Leanne. How are you doing? Just in response to your question re the 2ww. I assumed that I was pregnant therefore didn't do any heavy lifting, watched what I ate and tried to sleep well. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. It's just the same as if we were to conceive naturally, however we have a lot more at stake. Just take it easy and you'll breeze through it. How's work?

mercimum, I hope your dads blood test goes well. It's awful not going what is happening and that there is nothing we can do for them to take it all away. At least there is great family support and that is great. :hugs:
Shajake, Im so sorry about your FIL. I will be praying that the radiotherapy helps him get better. Sending you and your family love and my prayers hun.:hugs:
iuimummy, oh you are a master of all trades!! You must have been darn good at it hun!:D
Hi Leanne!!
Shajake- i'm so sorry to hear of the bad news on your fil i hope that he proves them all wrong.
Leannej- Thanks she has gotten so spoilt i can't belive 18mths ago i thought i would never have a baby and now she's 1 already.
Bradysmum- thanks so much you know some of dh family forgot to even call isn't that terrible at least i can count on you guys.
HPFP- i was with IVF Australia and now mu dr has gone across to next generation so i followed her and they let you now each day they call and tell you where its at oh i'm NSW by the way
mel-j- i use to get discharge mine was like cottage cheese sorry thats alittle to much info but i was told that it was normal with the drugs. i'm sure it's all good but maybe you should ring your nurses and just check for your own peace of mind.
trendy1- thanks we had a great day together not that she knew what was going on but she loved all the attention.
Shajake: well i am also taking it a bit easy, not doing heavy lifting and just not doing too much. although it is a bit hard a work as only 2 people know what im going through and i work in a room with children from 1-3. so yesterday i spent the day with the babies as they are ligther. but today i will be back in my room. i just said to the other girls that i have a bit of a sore back, so if i have to change heavy children i will be changing them on the floor. so in my job its hard to take it easy sometimes. but i am trying. also i didnt want to take the time off as the 2ww would go for ever.
anyway im off to work now
hope everyone has a good day. i will check in when i get home.

At work so just a real quickie
Many Many Congratulations to L.J. and DH on your BFP.:yelclap: :yelclap:
Will try to post properly later.
Sksty, thanks for your good wishes.
Bradysmum, me too. He's a fighter but he is 77 so age is not on his side. :fingerscrossed: it will be okay. I just don't have a good feeling about it. How did you guys go with the nursing home for your nanna?
Leanne, I too worked with kids at the time of my 2ww. I didn't have to pick them up because they were older, but I still had Jake that wanted constant cuddles and to be picked up. I just tried to sit down with him instead of picking him up. It actually makes no difference if you pick kids up or not, just try and change how you do things to accomodate for it.
I'm car hunting again today so I will check in later.
Melj: Sorry I havnt gotten back sooner but thanks for letting me know what the nurse said about the spotting etc.
Leannej: After my first icsi cycle i did everything as I normally would, but since having the FET last week I returned to work on the Tuesday after resting all weekend and doing nothing, not that they say their is anything you can do to increase your chances but this time I have been taking it really easy and my DH and DD have been helping out heaps with cooking dinner etc so once I get home from work I can just relax.
Hope everyone is having a nice day, it's very warm in Sydney today!
Trendy1 Hi there. The pumpking patties are just half a pumpkin, 6 pieces of bread, torn into small pieces, and a small block of cheese, maybe equals 2 or 3 cups full, and a clove of garlic and polenta. You boil the pumpkin, then mash it up adding the garlic, bread and cheese, then form round patties, whatever size suits, then have the plate of polenta ready, just spread polenta over a dinner sized plate, then place the patties down on each side into the polenta, so both sides are coated in it, then cook in some oil, not too much, just to brown them. Enjoy.
mercimum Im doing a lot of praying too!! Lets hope it works. I dont know who sings that song though. I hope your dad is feeling a bit better. Depression is not a nice thing to have. :hugs:
macmum Goodmorning. Hope you are well. Yes im just doing the routine stuff too, i guess we cant wrap ourselves in cotton wool, what will be will be right.
Leannej Hi there. Hows things? Are you feeling ok today? Im feeling ok, just twinges every now and then. I am more relaxed and relieved now, because we actually got to the ET stage. So now its the waiting game.
Shajake Hi there. How are you today? I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. I truly hope they can do something to help him. It is such a hard thing to cope with when a loved one has something like this happen. My Step Father died last year of Motor Neurone Disease, and it was a sudden thing, and Doctors only worked out what it was about 3 months into him tripping over a lot, then about 8 months later he was gone. Goodluck xx
fourboys Hello. 17 follicles is great. Goodluck with your EPU next week sometime.
sksty Hi there. How are you today? Do you have much planned? Im just about to make some home made chicken nuggets and some chicken parmigiana. Yum!! I rang my nurse and of course, she said it was all normal, with all the drugs, its common to have discharge.
chilligirl Goodmorning. Hope you are well. Have a good day at work.
mede1 Hi, yes its a relief to know that the spotting is a normal thing to happen after ET. I hope you are having a nice day.
Bradysmum Hi there. Hope your day is going well. How is the little man with his new teeth? I hope he isnt too grumpy.
LJHarmony Goodmorning. How is the weather down your way? Hope you are well.
LJ Goodmorning. How are you feeling today? I imagine you are still on cloud 9 :)
Hi to everyone else if i have missed people, i hope you are all well.
Just a quick question, does anyone know when implantation occurs? I have read so many different things. My nurse said between 3-4 days.. but ive read 7-10?? Ive also read 6-8.. so just wondering what everyone else had been told. If its as my nurse said, then im on day 5 since my transfer, so i guess my little emby has his fate set out and i just have to wait to find out. Every now and then i get aches in my tummy, and sometimes they feel like period pains, but sometimes i think all the pains are so similar its hard to know.
Take care everyone.
Hi Ladies
Just got back from my ET.
4 eggs out of 5 fertilised 1 embie (grade 2 & 4 cells) was put in. 1 egg was a grade 4 & the other 2 eggs were a grade 5. I am still very happy as my last cycle the embie was a grade 4. I think this time I will be taking it easier. The Nurse told me to delegate right in front of DH. Can't complain DH has been a great help.
BT 16.11.06
Shajake: I'm so sorry about your FIL.
Leannej: Monday 13.11 :fingerscrossed: .
Mercimum: How is your dad & how are you? My dad had prostate cancer 2 years ago. He is now in remission - it is a very hard thing to deal with. Everytime he goes for his BT we all panic. You just have to take day by day.
Bradysmum: How is Brady? How are you & your family?
macmum: How is the house going? Good luck on the 10.11.06
melj: :fingerscrossed: for BFP 15.11.06
Good luck & :fingerscrossed: for BFP - iuimummy, mede1, chilligirl, LjHarmony & Crafty-gnome

HPFP Hi, well done with your ET, that sounds very good with the embryo grade. All the best for a BFP, your test is the day after mine :)
Hello again Ladies.
HPFP: Welcome to the 2WW :fingerscrossed:
Melj: When I had my transfer I asked the scientist doing the transfer how long it takes for implantation to occur and he told me between 48 and 72 hours so :fingerscrossed: it has happened.
Can I ask if any of you on the 2ww are tempted or have done a HPT. Ive been thinking about it all day today.
mede1 Hi there, i had a couple of pregnancy tests in my drawer here. And, even though i know i have the hormone HCG in my system because im taking injections with it in them, i still wanted to see those two pink lines, so i used one, and of course, there were the two pink lines, now i know when i tested i still had the drugs in my system so i know it wasnt really a positive, but you know how we go a bit crazy with the whole IVF process, i just had to see it. Mum said to me today "oh mel, you know now if it doesnt work, you will only be sadder because you tested early and saw the pink lines" i said "yes mum i know, but i just wanted to see them for once" So, i guess its up to you, i dont think you are taking the drugs though are you?
HPFP- what does all the grades mean? i have never heard of it before just since i joined this thread but i'm still not sure what it means?
Shajake- what state are you from, my husband is the manager for Toyota at windsor NSW if your a NSW girl maybe i can give you his details and he can get you a good deal!
sorry only a short one hello to everyone else, i played tennis again today and it was a hot day so Bree's down so i'm going to try and get some:sleeping: before she wakes check in later.
Sorry to just "arrive" on your site, but I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I'm nearly 38 and am on my second IVF cycle following 2 clomid cycles (one resulting in a miscarriage at 7 weeks), 2 unsuccessful IUI cycles and my last IVF cycle resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. Am having egg retrieval tomorrow and we had decided (if we get any follicles/successful fertilisations) to have 2 embryo's implanted on day 3.
I'm suddenly panicking (not sure if its the hormones or what) about the risks of problems for the baby(s) when 2 embryos are implanted. As is everyone, we are just hoping for a healthy baby. Does anybody have any experience or advice with this?
Much appreciated
moet goodluck with your retrieval. We got the furthest we have come this time, and i have had the transfer last saturday, we only got 1 egg this time, and it fertilised, last time we had 2 and we would have put both in, but they didnt fertilise. I think its a very hard decision, we decided on two last time (had it worked) only because everything is slowing down for me, and i dont get many follicles, or eggs for that matter, and we want 2 babies anyway, so we knew all the risks, but we were confident with all the technology they have these days, and it was just our decision. Anyway, i wish you all the best whatever you decide.
Thanks so much mel-j.
Last time we managed to get 8 fertilised through icsi and chose to implant 1 thinking we would have backups if that one didnt take, but the remainder didnt make it to freezing so we've had to go through the whole cycle again (and I can cope with everything but the syneral!)
Every way I look at it its a huge gamble
Hi Everyone
Hi Moet
I had 2 embies put back and only one implanted. Every cycle I did I put in 2 as usually that was all that had fertilised so I didn't see the point in freezing them and as it had taken us 4 and a half years at that point if I had ended up with a multiple pregnancy then it was meant to be. It is a hard decision to make though so good luck.
Hi Mede1
Only on my last 2ww did I do a HPT and I only did it the day before the BT as AF had always arrived during my other cycles quite early. My DH actually suggested it but I was thinking about it and quietly jumped for joy when he said lets buy one. I think it is a decision that only you and DH can make but I did want to have a little something that we had control over as IVF/ICSI takes away your control.
To Everyone else on this thread I hope you are all well and have had a lovely day.
I have my :fingerscrossed: for everyone on the 2ww and my thoughts are with you all.
Take care
Carolyn:wave:
moet Hi there, you are welcome. Yes it is all a huge gamble, but i think caz74 summed it up well and its exactly how i felt, if you only have a few that fertilise, its a big gamble to see if they freeze, defrost etc.. my doctor suggested that too, to put 2 back when we got only 2 last time. We never got to that stage, but i would do it again that way if this cycle doesnt work.

Just a quickie for now. Had my ET this morning. We originally had 11 fertilise and they were all doing good up to yesterday afternoon. 5 of them continued to split so we had one put back in and the other 4 frozen for next time. The Dr was really positive and saying it is all going really good, but I just have this bad feeling now. Was really positive up to when we got to the clinic this morning. But I guess what will be will be. BT is on the 14th.
Just a question, at what stage did you all get the offical invoice to then take to Medicare? We had to pay when I started on the Synarel and got an receipt saying payment for services yet to be received. Did medicare give you a chq or did you have to have it put into a bank account? Or can they put it back onto my credit card?
Hope everyone has had a good day and having something nice for dinner!
crafty_gnome Hi there, goodluck with the 2ww. You will be fine, try not to stress too much. As for medicare, i paid upfront too, like you, and yesterday i got all the official paperwork and took it to medicare thismorning, and once they processed it on the spot, i filled in the section for it to go to my bank, and i get the difference paid within 3 working days.
Hi
DH has gone out with the boys to not stress me out  & so I can watch Bones in peace.
Crafty-gnome: In Victoria we pay once the injections start. A bill is sent to us with the amount payable after Medicare rebate has been done as we sign a medicare form as soon as we start IVF. Don't stress very important while on 2WW (nurse told me not to stress), easier said then done.
Moet: DH & I wanted 2 embies but only got 1 on the first cycle & again only 1 on this cycle. Don't worry about the statistics it is a choice you will need to make that is good for you. I still would love to put 2 for the same reason my age.
Sksty: Bree is beautiful, she is sooo cute. Grades - Grade 1 to 3 is meant to be a great embie & can be frozen & Grade 4 to 5 not so good & can not be frozen as they will not survive (that is what I have been told by my Gyn). My SIL was a scientist with IVF but left once she had kids so she helps me out a lot & my Suburban Clinic Nurse is great & explains everything to DH & me. I hope that helps.
mede1: Thank you. I will not do a HPT because it can be a false reading & don't want to be even more disappointed if I get BFN. I'd rather be surprised. BFP would be a better surprise then BFN but I still would rather be surprised (sorry) :ecomcity:. May we all get BFP :fingerscrossed: .

Dear friends,
sorry I have not been around and am not doing personals tonight, as I am exhausted, but just wanted to say hi and let you know I am still around. Spoke to my wonderful FN today and she said I can do a HPT 7days after my last Pregnyl injection so I can do it Sunday as I had my last shot last Saturday. my AF is due the weekend so if she has stayed away I will let you know how I go Sunday night. Otherwise as you know my BT is Monday. I am busting to know. Few cramps but I think my body is being tricky!!! :fingerscrossed:
Sorry it is a "me" message, but thought some of you might find what my FT interesting to help in your decision making as far as HPT are concerned.

Hello girls,
crafty_gnome & HPFP, congrats on your ET's!! Welcome to the 2WW!! Fingerscrossed girlies!!!:fingerscrossed:
Mel, how are you today?:)
Welcome Moet!! Good luck with your EPU:fingerscrossed: !! Let us know how you go hun!
Shajake, How are you? How did Jake go sleeping in his undies? We havent found a place for my nanna yet because we have to give them 6 places we have chosen and then her case worker and the counsellor find the place out of them 6. We are hoping to get into one near us and my mum is going tomorrow to check it out. Will let you know.
Brady is well, better today. His teeth look like little fangs!!
Hope you are all well!
moet- Welcome to the thread you will find that any questions you have the girls are great here and will give you the best answers some of these ladies i trust more than the nurses.
anyway i had 2 cycles with 3 successes then ending at 6-8 weeks when we only put back one. my clinic wasn't very positive with putting two back in but when we did our last cycle we weren't taking no for an answer and had two put back in as we figured we wont two anyway and if we are lucky enough to have two successful then our family is complete and we wouldn't have to go through it again. we had our two embies put back in and was successful then i lost one at 8 weeks but i have one in her cot snoring her head off now. Do whatever makes you feel right nobody can make the decision for you but the technology is so good now and if it's meant to be it will be either way you go but it's such a hard decision.
We have 3 embies on ice at the moment and waiting for fet sometime in the next week or two and we wont to put two back in again but the dr has said no way. (i have alot of health issues) but if we were allowed i'd do it again.
Hope that helps alittle every clinic is different some say it's better and more chance others say it's no different and others say it's more chance of miscarry and problems.
goodluck and let us know how you go thinking of you.
iuimummy- :fingerscrossed: for a bfp on monday
HPFP- thanks, what luck your SIL can help you heaps imagine if she still was doing it wouldn't that be great.
hope you have a wonderful day i'm thinking of you
Crafty-Gnome- My clinic gave me my reciept on the day of my BT and i took it to medicare and they gave me the money they don't have the banking facilities there they told me but it may be different where you are good luck.
Hi everybody
:gloomy: I am sad today just found out my dad is in hospital as he has a brain infection. I am so worried. Might not be in touch for a few days.
wishing everybody goodluck with their BT may you all have BFP
HPFP: Just wanting to send you big :hugs: for you and your family. WIll be thinking of you all.
Moet: Hi, we had 1 put back in on our last cycle and with our upcoming FET we will be having 1 put back in, our clinic has said because of our age and the success rates that are happening now they do not want to take the risk of multiple births. That is our clinic, I asked about having 2 put back and they said no way - not even discussing it basically!!
Hi everyone else, just a quick on to say hello before I start work for the day!! Not much to tell AF still hasn't arrived (a week late today) so am waiting for that so I can book on for FET, we have to be careful now as I have to go to court as a witness on the 20th of November and can't get out of it as I have been summonsed, so I am hoping it won't be that day or if it is they might work with me to do it a bit later in the day or something.
Hi everyone, how are you all today?
Bradysmum Hello there, is Brady feeling better with his teeth now?
HPFP Goodmorning, i am so sorry to hear about your Dad, i hope he gets better soon.
leannej Hi there, how are you feeling? Hope all is well.
iuimummy I have read that the pregnyl is out of your system after a week, so cant wait to hear how you go. Do you get period like cramps through this? Because i have had them, but dont want it to be period :banghead:
Hi to everyone else, just a short message today. Well i had my last injection today, so now its just waiting. Just wondering, with those of you who have had ET was it just with an empty bladder and the catheter? I have read that some clinics like you to have a full bladder and they do it with ultrasound. Just curious if anyone else has had that.

Haven't had any symptons like last round of IVF? So just need to wait and see!

Hi LJ Harmony... Just wanted to say hi!

Hello everyone,
It has been ages since I have posted as I have issues with my internet at home and hadn't been able to get on at work as the site was blocked for a while.
I hope everyone is doing well and your dreams are come or coming true!
Well I am 19 weeks now which has gone very quick and have another scan on tues which I can't wait for. I just love seeing the baby and hearing the heart beat. Well am getting very fat now, people keep asking me if I am having twins, which I definately know I am not. Just started feeling the baby move 2 weeks ago, well that is really weird!
talk soon
:hugs:
kirra_bodhi Hi there, wow 19 weeks already, time has flown. I bet you do get so excited looking at your baby on the screen. You are almost half way there now. Im glad all is going well for you.
jbearsmum Hi there, you havent go long till your BT now. How are things feeling? You said you are getting headaches, sometimes people have been known to get the same symptoms as they usually would with AF and she doesnt end up arriving. I am getting AF type pains, but have the whole cycle, so i dont know. Yesterday i had uterus type aches. Who knows. I have ages to wait yet!! :banghead: Goodluck with yours :fingerscrossed: you get a great result.

Hi Mel-j
I had my ET with a full bladder and the ultrasound. Can i ask why you still have injections after you had your ET?
Its funny how different clinics have their different routines for procedures.
Crafty-gnome My hospital give your receipt to you after the ET which I have taken to medicare on both occasions and been given back the cash which has been really great
mede1 Hi there, in my brochure it says this
Following the embryo transfer you will be given the first of 3 injections of HCG. These injections, which are given every three days, stimulate the production of the hormone progesterone, which maintains the inner lining of the uterus, the endometrium.
I guess all clinics are different, yes it is funny how they all work differently. Did your clinic tell you much about fragmentation? Did your embryo have any?
crafty_gnome
03-11-2006, 14:44
Thanks everyone for the comments re medicare and getting the invoice. Will follow it up next week if I still haven't received it by then.
Mel-j - I didn't hear anything about fragmentation. What is it? I haven't had to do the injections after ET but have been on the Crinone ... as much as I hate injections think I would prefer them!! My ET was on an empty bladder. They actually ask you to go before you walk into the theatre.
Good luck to everyone coming up for BT's in the next 2 weeks. Have my fingers crossed for all of us!
About to pour here so better turn the computer off. Looks like we're in for a beaut storm. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend!
crafty_gnome apparently some embryos can have fragmentation, just little fragments around them, apparently the more there are, the worse it is. Just what my clinic told me.

Hey mel J
Not sure whats going on?? Feeling very blah today
My cycle was mixed up last time. Had a 40 day cycle last time and was sure when I would be Ovualting. From the tests it was around day 19/20 so I presum that I should be due for AF eith Monday or Tuesday.
Not getting many symptoms like I did last cycle with IVF but maybe that was being driven by the crinone??? Who knows. All I know is my head hurts and I feel like blah! No sore boobs or cramping.
How are you going? You're due for testing on the 15th??
Have you had any differnt feelings?? I know last cycle I had a very strong gut feel that it had worked. And I was kinda right, bt it just didn't keep going?
Anyway lets know when you get the chance
better do some more work!
Seeya

jbearsmum Hi there, sorry to hear you are feeling flat. Im ok, felt a bit of nausea thisafternoon, but i doubt it means anything. I have had a few aches in my uterus area, few period like pains, but who knows. I dont have any strong feelings about it, i wish i did. I am hanging out for the 15th, i cant even test and know its right, because i had HCG injection thismorning, so it takes a while to leave the system i think.

:hugs: HPFP: Thinking of you, while you are going through this difficult time. Take care of yourself as much as you can sweety.
MelJ: I got heaps of cramping 2 days post ET for about awww, well still up until yesterday really. I am noticing it is more my ovaries now aching which to me is a very good sign as they have to support the early pregnancy. I am really setting myself up for a big fall if I'm not preg! I am convinced I am LOL.....AF due today and no sign of her. Just feel exhausted...all the time. So I reckon, any cramping on the 2ww should be seen as a posative sign as our embryos have to implant really well. IMHO.
Hello to every one else.Am reading regularly and thinking of you all, Brady's new teeth sound beautiful, and will be in touch soon. Please understand I am trying to keep Abbey happy while battling to keep my eyes openLOL.

Hi there.
Shajke: Extremally sorry to hear about your fil. My thoughts are with you at this intense time. As they are with you HPFP.
I know the saying what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, but my goodness.
Had my gastroscopy this morn and what did they find? a big fat nothing. I feel so deflated at the moment. I now have to have a ct scan to cq the small intestine. I am praying that they find gall stones. The us cleared them of the gall bladder. Its doing my head in now. I just want life to be some sort of normal again.
Sorry for the :ecomcity: :ecomcity: .
thinking of everybody. Of to a underwear & wine party 2night next door. Should be good.

mercimum HI there, you poor thing. You must be so frustrated :banghead: . I hope all works out for you when you have the other test. Tell you what, i could do with a wine and underwear party  Anything to get my mind off the 2ww.
Good Afternoon,
Melj, they know what it is with my FIL. I just don't have a good feeling about it all. In fact I just spoke with my BIL and I my MIL is not telling my DH everything. I don't know when implantation occurs and I think we go insane trying to work it out. I had an empty bladder and catheter. :smiliedance: for your last injection.
HPFP, thanks hun. Well done on you ET and :fingerscrossed: for a BFP. Hope your dad is okay and gets well soon.
Leannej, not long to go now. How are you feeling?
Mercimum,
Mede1, I did a HPT about 4 days before BT and then again a day before.
Sksty, Thank you. That's so nice of you to want to do that, but I'm in Melbourne. Perhaps your husband knows someone down here who he can recommend who could look after us and get us the best possible price. We are looking at the Toyota Kluger - 7 seater.
Moet, I'm not a fan of transferring 2 embies, pm me if you'd like to know why. Good luck with your decision, it's not an easy one.
Crafty-gnome, Well done on your ET and welcome to the 2ww. 4 frozen is great. Here's hoping that this is your month. Medicare gave me a cheque that I then forwarded onto Melbourne IVF.
iuimummy, Good luck on Sunday with the HPT
Bradysmum, Jake woke up at 2am soaked through and wanted to change and put a nappy on. I'm not stressed about, in fact just tired from lack of sleep. I've been up since 4am. Damn pregnancy.
jbearsmum, I'm fine thanks. Hopefully AF stays away. BBQ on the day of BT is a great idea. Good on you and have fun.

Shajake, hope you get a better nights sleep tonight hun!! I remember I didnt sleep much at all when i was pregnant. Lucky to get 4 hours a night. I think I slept more with a newborn, weird huh?
Moet, good luck with your decision. We transfered 2 embies for many cycles and we were blessed with our boy on our 6th cycle. Let us know what you decide.

to everyone else on the 2ww how are you all feeling?
Shajake I really am sorry about your FIL it doesnt sound good. I think your MIL really should be honest with your DH.
Bradysmum Hi there, im glad you guys had a good day today. Yes im glad no more needles.
mercimum Oh believe me, i certainly was twiddling my thumbs on the last 2 cyles  I like your thinking, if i get pregnant then you will, wouldnt that be excellent. Well heres hoping.
Leannej Hi there, im good thanks, glad you are doing well. I dont have to have anything other than the injections, which i had last saturday, then tuesday and today, now im done with them. Did you get period like pains last time? Im hoping they are good signs, because i have had some.
Hi to everyone else, just wanted to ask if anyone who has had a :bfp: got period like pains when they were doing IVF?? I am getting some, but im also getting some aches too, so i dont know. Damn this wait.
Bradysmum, I too hope to get a better nights sleep and I agree I think I slept better with a newborn as well. As for whether I'll get much sleep with 2 newborns is yet to be determined. Did you enjoy shopping? What did you buy?
Leanne, great to hear that you're doing well. Let's hope next week flys by.
Melj, I agree but they are a really strange family. They are not very close at all and it really frustrates me. As for aches and pains and AF like cramps I had them throughout especially getting closer to BT. Good luck.
What's everyone up to this weekend?
Shajake Thanks, that has made me feel better now. Its such a hard thing this 2ww, but its good to know that you also had period like pains. I have a feeling i will get AF but i so hope i dont.
Hello Ladies

We went to Highpoint with my best friend and her son and mainly window shopped. I just got a stroller for Brady and I must say it is sooooo much better than pushing a 13 kilo pram around:yes: !!! I did by my mum some Body shop products for her b'day on Monday.
Mel, I had aches and cramps and twinges all through my 2WW. As it got closer they got more frequent and I thought for sure AF was coming.

Hi again everyone!
Just thought I would share a weird thing that I had happen on the 2ww wait that I found a bit strange, but I think looking back on it now was a bit of a sign that things were happening! Sorry if I go a bit TMI!
Anyway I had this kida hollow feeling around the uterus area. I know that sound strange, it was kinda like stretching, but just felt hollow.
The only time I can remember this happening was last IVF cycle, where we had very early signs of PG!
Also had sharp pains that started from the outside of boob shooting through almost felt like out the nipple area!
Not sure if that helps anyone!
Bradysmum... we must live close as I quite often go to Highpoint! Hope you had a great day! James is not to bad, had to go and pick him up from Kinda today as he was sick there and the come home and had another blagh!
Seems to be ok now though so hopefully just a 12 hour thing!!!
I hate it when hes not well!
Hi mercimum... So sorry you have no answers darls. Maybe the whole IVF thing just really knocked you about and you little body just trying to get back to normal! We're still going on the accupuncture and herbs. Just waiting til Tuesday to see if its worked this month. Feeling pretty average today so think AF is on the way. Will keep you posted!
Hey Mel J... It hard to feel symptoms when you've got all the IVF drugs going around in your system. Just keep feeling positive, I think that works for you state of mind too!
Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi ladies,Warning TMI!
woke up this morning did number 1, followed by the wipe and there was blood. Am now very worried this has not worked. It was old looking stuff but still I am a bit like that before AF arrives.. Good luck girls. I'm spending the day in bed reading a book and have managed to get DP to take DD to Mum and Dad's to help them in the yard for the day so I can have some time alone. Any ideas and words of wisdom would be appreciated as I am a mess. I hope it is from implantation but that would have been 2 weeks ago??:detective:
HPFP- thats terrible news hope he is ok thinking of you and your family at this time and hoping he gets better real soon.
This is kind of not related but can anyone help me. as you all know Bree turned 1 this week and i'm going to start her on cow's milk half formula and slowly decrease the formula and increase the milk. (dr told me to do it this way) anyway can anyone help me with the bottle sterilizing when can i stop doing this?

hi sksty
I think i stopped doing James bottlles around the 10 month mark!
I think someone had told me once they start crawling around the floor and everything going into the mouth, you don't need to worry to much about sterilizing.
Hope that helps:o
jbearsmum xx
thanks so much i have wonted to stop for ages but nobody else in my mothers group had stopped and when i suggested it they all went abit funny so i didn't do anything about it but now that she 1 i definetly think its time thanks
jbearsmum Hi there, im so sorry AF arrived for you. Goodluck with whatever path you decide to take from here. xx:) :hugs:

Jbearsmum Hi there.Just thought I'd send you a big hug:hugs: . Sorry AF arrived for you. Take it easy for a few days and snuggle James.
:hugs: :hugs:
IUImummy - I just wanted to send big :hugs: to you and hope it is just light spotting. Remember something like 25% of women have some bleeding during pregnancy so it is not all negative.
JBearsmum - I am so sorry I imagine the loss for you (well it was for me) is the same as an early miscarriage. Lots of :hugs: and I found i gave myself a little comfort food, lasasgne, ice-cream, and it helped ease the pain. As did cleaning (Flylady strikes again), I threw myself into the housework and have found it so cleansing.
Hi Ladies
Just got back from hospital. My dad is a little better - he has bacterial meningitis - he is been treated. Unfortunately he will have permanent damage. He will be deaf in his left ear (thank god it is only that). He will be in hospital for another 7 to 10 days.
My sister is getting married next week. He will be able to get a day release for the church not sure about the reception.
Tonight is the hucks night we forgot to cancel it.
I am doing ok I'm just very exausted.
iuimummy & jbearsmum: :shame: AF arrived. You never know my friend had her period for the first 3 months while she was PG.
bradysmum: Hope you & your family are well.
melj: I have cramps they do feel like AF is arriving. The only different pains I have on this cycle is I get a sharp pain on the uterus & seem to be going to the toilet more & my lower back is sore????
trendy1: I hope you & your family are ok. Good luck with FET.
shajake: Hello. How is FIL?
mercimum: I hope things get better for you. How was the underwear & wine party?
Leannej: How was your brother's wedding? My sister is getting married next Saturday. I am using crinone gel - I hate it.
Sksty: How are you feeling ?
Must let you all go, going back to the hospital sorry if I have forgotten anyone.
:fingerscrossed: for everybody on 2WW & on the cycle.
:shame: naughty AF stay away from everybody TTC, 2WW & on IVF.

jbearsmum, Im so sorry hun, sending you lots of cuddles:hugs: . I know how you are feeling right now. If you need to chat let me know.:hugs:
HPFP, Im so sorry about your dad. Hopefully he makes a full recovery from the meningitis. Im sorry about his hearing loss. Im thinking of you and your family hun.:hugs:
Hi girls - won't be on for long as I have very bad news
I had my 2nd BT yesterday and my pregnancy hormone and progesterone are crashing which means I am going to miscarry. I cannot beleive it and ma just blown away.:gloomy: :gloomy:
I am beginning to wonder how much one couple can take. We have been though so much devestation over the last 5 years and it seems like we are never going to get a lucky break in the TTC situation.
I have been crying on and off for the last 24 hours and am worried about my DH as he keeps thing bottled up more than me. I have to keep reminding myself that we have each other, wonderful family and jobs that we both love. We are living in a great country that is not war torn and don't have to face starvation and bombs every day as alot of people are. I think this is the only way I am going to get thru it........ but somtimes I just think that we want this so bad that we are never going to get it
Will try to get back on later but may need a while to clear my head. You girls are so wonderful I just wanted to let u what was happening. Take care

Hi Lj
Just wanted to let you know I'm so sorry honey!:hugs::crying:
You were so close this time! Thats what happened to me last time. Its just shattering! We try to allow ourselves a little bit of positive thinking and then we come crashing back to earth!
I know that nothing that I say will make you feel any better, as I so remember how I felt. Please, please take care of yourselves. Just let you mind and body heal before making any decisions.:hugs:
Thanks to everyone for your messages for my AF also... you guys are awesome!:hugs:
jbearsmum xxx
lj- i know that everyone is going to say this but stay positive. i'm not just saying this but when i fell with Bree i was pregnant with twins and my levels were up then they didn't go anywhere and the dr said get ready for the worst so i came home cried for 2 days and went and had another bt and they started to go up again, so don't count yourself and your little one off yet rest as much as you can and drink heaps.
jbearsmum- sorry about af arriving it sucks doesn't it why can't it just be easy.
jadericks- sorry to hear this cycle didn't work i'm thinking of you.
iuimummy- i'm so sorry but stay positive it maybe nothing.
HPFP- Good to hear he is doing better and sorry to hear about the hearing loss but i could be worst right.
hope he can get day release for your sisters wedding. it would be ashame if he misses it for your sister and for him and the family.
FIL was told a week before we got married that his brain tumour was back and they needed to operate but he was coming to the wedding no matter what which i think did him good cause it made him get better quicker, something tofocus on.
hello to everyone else and hope you are all doing well.
LJ I am so so sorry to hear about your BT results :hugs: This must be so hard. You have come so far, and done so well, only for this to happen.
I am beginning to wonder how much one couple can take. We have been though so much devestation over the last 5 years and it seems like we are never going to get a lucky break in the TTC situation.
Please dont give up. Maybe you need a break for a while? This is so hard for you i know.
I have to keep reminding myself that we have each other, wonderful family and jobs that we both love. We are living in a great country that is not war torn and don't have to face starvation and bombs every day as alot of people are.
You are right, and this is a great way to think. Time will help you heal this pain, but for now, lean on DH, you two sound very close from what you have said in the past.
We are all here for you when you need. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

LJ: There is nothing I can say that will make you feel any better and I wish I could. Just feel these huge arms around you:hugs: .
SKSTY: thanks for your thoughts sweety. Spotting is getting heavier and so is cramping. Going to do a HPT tonight, a bit early but hey if I get 2 lines it will get me through the night. I am supposed to do it tomorrow.
Will be in touch later.
hi all
well i just got back from my brothers wedding. it all seemed to go well. it was a very layed back, back yard wedding. my feet a killing me from all the standing up ( not enough chairs).
well so far so good with the 2ww, had a few cramps and uterus tringes. 9 days to go. its driving me crazy.
HPFP: hope your dad recovers well. and if he only loses his hearing in 1 ear then hes done well. :hugs: to your family.
Jbearsmum: sorry to that sf came. i know how you feel, it sucks.
iuimummy: i hope you spotting does get any worse. and :fingerscrossed: for the HPT.
l.j: sorry to hear about your BT results. i cant imagine how you are feeling. as you would have be on such a high and then bang the levels are dropping. you poor thing. thinking of you :hugs:
mel: how are you feeling?
bradysmum:  hows brady going?

L.J, I can understand what you are going through right now, my first cycle gave me a BFP and within 4 days it was all over. Im so sorry hun:hugs: , I know nothing I say will make you feel better. Please take time to heal for yourself. We will be here for you whenever you need us hun. Im so sorry.:hugs:
Leanne, glad the wedding went well. How are you feeling? We are fine hun. Brady ate his first party pie today!:)
iuimummy, how are you?
sksty & Bradysmum, I stopped steralising bottles when Jake was 12 months old.
jbearsmum, I'm so sorry to hear that AF arrived. But like a few others have said until that BT you just don't know. Hang in there, it's a very frustrating time for you both right now.
HPFP, glad to hear that your dad is a little better. Bacterical meningitis is not a nice thing to have. I'm sorry about his hearing loss. The symptoms you're having are sounding positive. When is your BT? FIL is staying positive. He starts treatment on Wednesday. He still puts in his 2 cents worth when it comes to out car.
Jj, I feel for you right now. Sending you a huge:hugs: and lots of prayers that 1 day it will be your turn.
Jaderocks, sorry to hear that this cycle didn't work for you.
Melj, What did you get up to today?
Well as for me I had a fairly busy day with picking up the booster seat from my mums so we could fit all the seats into the cars we had narrowed down to.
1 job done, just need to wait for DH to finish his 3 month probation for the bank to approve the loan and then we buy my new car:yelclap:
Shajake- thanks i have just packed the sterilizer away wont nights be better now with some extra time.
iuimummy- i hope you get your :bfp: on your HPT
i think i did one of those each time i had a transfer the chemist use to know what i was in there for before i even went to get one how sad. :fingerscrossed: i'm staying positive for you.
Leannej- Glad your brothers wedding went well it's been raining here all day hope you had nice weather.
sksty, oh yes. You won't know yourself. I used to stick them in the dishwasher.
shajake-i think i'm going to start doing that too what bottles did you use
Sksty, I used the Avent range of bottles. I found them to be the best quality re washing and heating and they don't smelll. Which brand do you use?
Hi All,
jbearsmum and jaderocks: Sorry to hear that your cycles didn't work. Take some time to yourself and relax and maybe even spoil yourselves. Thinking of you both.:hugs:
Sksty: I also stopped steralizing at about 10 months and used the avent range of bottles which were great.
HPFP: Hope your dad is getting better now, at least you know what is going on. It will be lovely if he can make it to your sisters wedding even if it is only the ceremony - he will still be a part of it.
LJ: I am sorry to hear your news, there isn't much that I can say to you to make you feel any better but I send my thoughts to you and your DH and hope that you can get through this tough time.:hugs:
Hello Shajake, Bradysmum,Melj and Iuimummy and everyone that I have missed hope you are all having a great weekend, I am off to do some stuff in town. Hope all is well with everyone.
Hi all
Well it is definately over. Started spotting yesterday and it is heavy today. Our little emby has lost its fight and I was pregnant for just 4 days. I am not looking forward to the next week as I know it is going to be hard to adjust after thinking just last week about all the poistive things that were going to happen over the next 9 months.
Good luck to everyone else on the 2ww. I am thinking of you all and will keep track of how u are all going but if I am MIA for a while it is just because I need to clear my head. Big hugs to you all :hugs:

Hi Lj:hugs:
Take all the time you need Hun!
I know after my last cycle I just had to do a bit time out!
My acupuncturist sadi you need to take time for you mind and your body to heal. The whole IVF thing knocks more out of us than I think we know!
Pumping ourselves FULL of hormones can't be a good thing for a long time. But its what we do to achieve our little miracles. Just think of you guys for a while. I felt after the last cycle I just neede a break from the IVF world and the doctors etc, but its not that I didn't still think about things every single day! It just nice to be out of a sterile environment for a while!
Just let yourself heal honey, and then the right decisions will come!
All my thoughts are with you :hugs:
Lea ( jbearsmum) xxx
And thanks to all for your lovely thoughts and words. Just beginning to focus on next month. gong to try and get a bit more exercise in and try and lose some kilos ( have a bucket load to lose) But need to start somewhere.
Any weight loss tips from anyone who done it???
Lj, I'm sorry hun. It is a difficult process to undergo and then for this to happen, is just not fair. Please take the time to heal and vent when you need to. I know it's no consolation but I believe that things happen for a reason. It wasn't meant to be this time and just think that when the time is right, there'll be no stopping it. I also feel that g-d challenges us in ways we don't understand and he only throws at us what he knows we can handle. He is watching over you and just don't give up faith. If you want to talk more, feel free to pm me anytime.
My thoughts are with you at this great time of need.

LJ: Just know I am thinking of you and understand the devistation you are feeling. Look after yourself sweety.:hugs:
JBearsmum: I really recommend weight watchers. I lost 15 kilos before my last IUI and I was able to feed my family home cooked meals and not worry about differednt stuff for me. It is simple and not expensive at about $19 a week.
As for me , well AF is hereand killing me. We have to work out how we will wver afford another cycle. I am devistated as you can imagine, and am really determined to try again. Will try agin in January if we can raise the money. EBay will be one of our options we will go through our stuff and sell it off if need be. I just dont understand why it did not stick!!!!:banghead:
Thanks for all the support and good luck to you all on the 2ww.:)
L.J & iui mummy - Sorry to hear that it has not worked for you guys this time.
Melj: How are you going?
As for me i have has cramping on and of since i had my ET but also had a bit of nasua but otherwise dont feel any symptons of pregnany. 3 sleeps left until BT.
Hi Everyone
To everyone on 2ww good luck and lots of sticky vibes.
Lj and JBearsMum - Big Hugs and I am so sorry this AC journey really sucks sometimes Take some time out and I hope your DH's look after you.
JBearsMum - I second WW I lost 15kgs also so far and still going I hope to reach 20kgs but I will just have to see
My news well I am still waiting for AF to show hopefully Thu and then I start on HRT followed by the not so wonderful progestrone pessaries 3 times a day and then the wait to see if my embie thaws and then go to blastocyst.
I will now go back and read all the other news - You girls can really chat and it is hard to keep up
Sending lots of big cyberhugs to everyone
mede1 Hi there, im good thanks. Yesterday i was soooo flat and down, cried a bit. Dont know why really, i think with the pains, i had bad AF pains, but today nothing. I guess until i see AF turn up, i need to hold onto hope. I had my last pregnyl shot on Friday, yesterday my boobs were a bit sore, today they are worse, which i guess is a good sign, because the pregnyl leaves your body a bit each day. When was your ET? How long till your BT? Sorry, i cant go back and check, computer is playing up.
hi mel: how are you? and what are you up to today. hope that the sore boobs are a good sign and af will stay away. i so have my :fingerscrossed: for the 2 of us and everyone else on the 2ww.
i hope your not so down today.
well i havent had and cramping of any symptons since fri. i hope thats not a bad sign.
hope your having a good day.

Mel, hope your day has been a bit brighter today.:)
Fliss, hopefully AF comes soon so you can start!:fingerscrossed:
Leanne, Hi ya hun!
mel-j- hope you are having all the right signs for a :bfp:
Fliss16- goodluck mu embies were frozen at blasto. i'm having a BT on wed to see when i can have a FET it's all just a waiting game isn't it.
Mede1- your being good and waiting till BT i never wait to impatient goodluck hopefully :bfp:
L.J- that is just shattering news i'm so sorry and i'm sending you:hugs:
Trendy1- Avent is pretty popular i also got 2 pur self steralizing bottles they were pretty good too.
Shajake- i use avent i tried tommee tippee but she didn't like them when she was a bub but now she will drink from anything.
Leannej Hi there, we did some gardening today, and i kind of watched most of it. :o Well, you know how it is, i dont want to strain anything. I just had a relaxing day, yesterday i was positive this ICSI cycle hadnt worked, had period type pains all day, but today i dont have them, only tonight a mild one for a while. Its hard to know whats what. I know others said that they had period type pains right up till their BT and Bradysmum is proof it was a BFP and i think Beatrice said the same with her period like pains. So im trying to hold onto some hope, but i dont know. What did you do today? Are you taking it easy? I read about implantation, my nurse said it happens between day 3-4 but ive read that it can be 7-12, isnt it funny the difference. Are you feeling ok?
Hi to everyone, i will do all the personals in the morning, when im not so tired. I hope you have all had a great weekend. I had a better day today, not so flat. I still think AF will come, but im not as flat as yesterday. I guess till she rears her ugly head, then im still in with a chance. Reading some of your posts about AF pains and still getting the BFP has kept me a bit more positive. Thanks.
Have a great night everyone, and i will chat to you all tomorrow. :hugs:
Mel: i know what you mean about the just watching part. dh was doing some gardening today and i asked if he wanted any help and he said no you just relax. so i watch a bit of tell and got the photos of my brothers wedding printed. then we went to the in laws for a bbq dinner.
oh and we have melb cup on tues so its a day off for us. and most people have mon off to, but i dont, dh does. im thinking of having a sicky. what do you think? would you do that?
oh and dont ride your self off yet. try to think positive and you might get a positive. its not over till she comes.
speak to you tomorrow.
im getting a bit tired and might go to bed
Melj - I had my ET on 28th Oct, I think the same day as you if Im correct but my BT is this Wednesday, 3 sleeps to go:fingerscrossed: I wish I could just pass out for the next 3 days so I can stop thinking about it. I too have had period like pains on and off today but right now I feel like I have stitch.
HPFP Hi there, how is your dad going? I hope he isnt feeling too bad. Lets hope you have some goodluck come your way with a BFP. My cramping has gone down a lot, my boobs are still quite sore, and are very dry and some skin around the nipple area is peeling. Strange. Havent had that before.
Bradysmum Goodmorning. How are you and the little man today? Its lovely weather over here, i hope its nice over there. There is a public holiday in Melbourne tomorrow isnt there? Are you doing anything with DH? I was going to go to a Melbourne Cup lunch with a friend who organises a huge table each year at a different Cafe each time, but all the women end up drinking heaps and staying late, and this year, it just doesnt interest me. Plus no alcohol for me for a while.
Shajake Hello there, how are you feeling? Did you have a good weekend? I watched DH do some gardening, i didnt want to do too much, i did pull out some weeds. Its lovely and sunny here today. I hope you have a great day.
sksty Hello there. How are you today? Did you have a nice weekend? We didnt do too much. Im taking it easy, still holding onto hope that i may get a BFP, but probably not. I think i will do a HPT on Friday or Saturday if it hasnt come. Then i will be more positive. It would be a great Birthday present. Have a great day.
Trendy1 Hi there, how are you today? How are you feeling? Good i hope. I hope your weekend went well. Ours was very quiet. Have a great day.
LJ Hi there. How are you today? :hugs: I hope time is starting to slowly heal your heart, obviously it will take a while. I hope you pop in still and say hi.
jbearsmum Hi there. How are you feeling? Im glad to read that you are focusing on the next cycle. I found that helped me too. I tried to get fit and lose some weight also. I did some walking down the beach, then on my treadmill. I joined weight watchers. I think i will do it again when i can. Have a lovely day.
iuimummy Hello. Im so sorry to hear AF arrived. It must be devistating. Im glad that you are focusing on your next cycle. I think sometimes when we want something so much, we somehow find the way to get it. Goodluck. :hugs:
mede1 Hello there, im well thanks, how are you? We did have our transfers on the same day. I dont test till 15th November, i guess thats because of the injections ive had, they would give a false positive if done too early. Goodluck, not long now :fingerscrossed: We need some positive in here soon.
fliss16 Goodluck with AF showing up, i wish you all the best for this cycle. I bet you are eager to start.
Leannej Hi there, how are you today? Im feeling ok today. Not bad cramping now, so i pray its all good. You are working today arent you? As for the sickie, for sure i would do it, i have been known to pull one before :o
Beatrice Hello there, how are you going? I hope all is well, and that you had a great weekend. Take care.

Hi Everyone,
I've been MIA for a few days... trying to avoid thinking about the TWW. Looks like theres heaps of news to catch up on.
jbearsmum: sorry to hear that AF arrived. Hope that your hanging in there. Do you have a weight loss plan? I've found WW to be fabo!
HPFP: Hows your Dad today? I've worked with a lot of people who have had brain related injuries. I've always been amazed at how resiliant we are and how we quickly learn to compensate when we experience an injury. I hope he continues to improve.
L.J.: I was so very sorry to hear your news. Im not sure what to say as I know that there are no words that can ever change the sadness that you and your DH are experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
MelJ: I think about you a lot and wonder how you are going. I'm totally over the TWW and cant wait until Friday. Just like you, I keep thinking that it's all over. I suppose I just want the BT so that I can get on with things either way.
iuimummy: So very sorry to hear that AF arrived and I hope the pain has eased today. I think your idea about finding funds via ebay is great. I have a few friends who are making quite a reasonable living out of ebay so I hope you find success.
LeanneJ: How are you today? My drug induced (well with progesterone only) brain cant remember when your BT is? I think this week? Good luck. Any symptoms? Have you cheated with a HPT yet?
bradysmum: Hi  What are you up to today?
Shajake:  Hi! How are you feeling today? Hope the car hunting is going well. I traded up earlier this year and I love my new car. It's gong to be our family car. All we need now is the family.
mede1: How are you today? Only a few sleeps to go!! Have you done a HPT yet? I don't think I can hold out for too much longer.
fliss16: Hi  ! Hope that there are signs of AF soon. Progesterone pess 3x a day .... I whinge about once per day!! All the best.
stksy: Howdy!! Whatcha up to today?
Sorry to anyone who I have missed.
Well, I feel like I'm just over the waiting. I remember when we first started our IVF journey that we were warned that we would wait and wait and wait. Well I'm just over it!! I am at 12 dpo (10 days past day 2 transfer). Had heaps of symtpoms after ET and after the HCG injection last monday. They eased off for a while and seem to be back (though much less severe) at the moment. Really sore bbs (sides and occasional shooting pains), cramps (lower abs especially around the right ovary... cos I know exactly where they are now!!), tired, teary and losing hope.
Have been soooo tempted to do a HPT. Is it too early? Would it still give a false positive? Any advise would be appreciated.
Take care all
xxx
Bradysmum happybirthday for your mum!! Is she a scorpio too? So am i. :devil6: mine is 11th. Have a great dinner.
chilligirl You sound like me!! Have you had any pregnyl shots? I had my last one on friday and i know that interferes with the HPT. I am going to test this Friday if AF doesnt show by then. If you havent had any drugs, i would think you could test.

MelJ - I had a pregnyl injection last monday night so 7 days today. Im a fairly impatient person and I like to know everything before everyone else does :o . I might test on Wed though I kinda dont want to know the answer at the same time.

Hi ChilliGirl! I'm like you! Very inpatient. By BT is next Tuesday 14th and like you and MelJ, don't think I can wait much longer. Am going to test on Fri or Sat I think. Fingers crossed for all of us!! I haven't had any pregnyl shots, just the crinone.
chilligirl & grafty_gnome Isnt this hard. Chilligirl, i know if i was you, i would be testing today. Im sooo impatient. crafty_gnome, you must be going crazy too. Im buying some tests today, but i bet i cave before Friday, i wont test saturday, because thats my birthday and i dont want to be sad. I hope AF stays away, i dont want it coming on 11th!!

Hi crafty_gnome  ! I hated the pregnyl injections. (one just b4 EPU and then one last monday for "luteal support"). My DH gave me both and I think it hurt him more than it hurt me! Good luck for the TWW. The only good part about it for me is that this is the very first time that I've been in the TWW with some semblance of chance  .
Just a quick question with maybe TMI :o . Does anyone else find that the crinone gel is kinda 'building up'? Sorry if that's gross but if anyone else has experienced the same thing it would be a bit more reassuring.

Chilligirl I'm the 11th Sept too!!! Looks like we are a year apart though. I just turned 31.
Think I know what you mean about the crinone cream and the build up. Sort of claggy like (sorry, way TMI!!!) This is my first ICSI cycle so all new to me. Have learnt quickly that nothing is private anymore. Quite strange sitting there last Thursday for the ET, spread eagle, while the Dr and my husband were talking about computers!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry and say OOHHH! How you would you like sitting here like this??? But at least it took my mind off what was going on down there.

Well hellooooooooooo everyone!
Have just caught up on about 10 pages, phew weeeee, what a mission!
And I am sad to hear of all the sad news.
Hugs go out to you LJ, IUImummy, Jbearsmum and Jaderocks. What a devastating time. I find it hard to comfprt with words, but really, i am sending you hugs and you are all in my thoughts.
As for those waiting, MelJ et al..... I hope we get some positive news on the bubhub.
And BecH good to see you are popping in now and then too - when will your next cycle begin?
Well, good wishes to all of you on the 2ww and the cycle before the 2ww. hello bradysmum - sounds like you are good, so that's great!
Me... well, nothing to report. I think i filled you in on what the FS said weeks ago now. Basically I have to wait for the next AF and we can start planning all over again. This time they will monitor the gonal dose a lot better!!! Finally NZ is warming up. had a bbq for my brithday in the weekend, it was pretty good. We let off a few fireworks and had fun. Dop you celebrate Guy fawkes in Aussie? The govt. is trying to ban private sales here now as there were too many call outs for the fire brigade all week.
Anyway, haven't been working today so have been getting in to the chores. My friend had her twins last thurs - they were induced and are 3 weeks prem, but they are all healthy and good. I thought i'd cry when i saw them but you know what, i just felt happy for their family and excited to see the babies - but of course, I am still waiting desperately for our little bub to arrive (yeah, well, the bubba has to get into the womb first!)
Well, love to all and good luck with everything. Has Beatrice had her baby yet?

My dad is doing OK. Well as well as can be. He has his colour back but still not eating too much. We are so glad that the only side effect he has is being deaf in his left ear.
I've had no real time to think of the 2ww with my dad being in hospital & trying to organise my sister's wedding.
Must go. Have to go back to the hospital.
:fingerscrossed: for all the ladies on this roller coaster ride called IVF, EPU, ET, FET & 2WW.

Leanne, Im glad you had a nice day today! You need it hun!
Shajake, the Mazda 6 wagons are very nice cars. I was eyeing one of them off the other day. Good choice! How is your FIL? How is Jake and DH?
HPFP, glad to hear your dad is feeling better. Fingercrossed soon he will start eating more and feel like his old self again.:fingerscrossed: It is great that he has so much family support. Brady is well hun, he is 11 months now!!!!
Jacquit, great to hear from you! Glad your b'day went well!! Hopefully AF comes on time so you can start your next cycle!!
Hope you are all well!:)
HPFP, Thanks.
Bradysmum, Thanks. It's the only car in our price range that fits 2 car seats and a booster across the back seat. Also we wanted 1 that was fairly economical, so hopefully we wont be disappointed. I just can't wait till our load gets approved so that we can order the car.

AF is usually around for 2weeks for me and very heavy, It started the dya befor yesterday and has nearly finished. So I am really brainf*****ng myself at the moment. LOL

Chilligirl:You can do a HPT only when your last Pregnly was over 7 days ago...so 8 days Post pregnyl will be ok. My FN told me that last Friday. Unfortunaltly I did not get 8 days past Pregnyl without AF coming.
Goodluck will be waiting to hear your result!!!! We need some posatives here girls!!!!!!:smiliedance:

L.J, Im glad that you and DH have been supporting each other. When we were going through the heartache of failed cycles I believe it brought DH and I closer than we ever were. Of course there were days where I shut down and didnt want to get out of bed or speak to anyone including him about it and that is so normal to feel that way, but for the majority of it we relied on each other and talked about our feelings. It was hard at first because DH blamed himself but we got around that and stuck together and were a great team. It is so important to be open with eachother and your feelings. Im sending you a huge cuddle :hugs: . Please take care hun.:hugs:
L.J- i'm glad you have a wonderful DH to lean on. Thinking of you
HPFP- I'm thinking of you and your family and hoping that he makes a quick recovery. Atleast you have other things on your mind this week so your 2ww should go quickly for you.
Chilligirl- i could never wait and always did a HPT around day 10 after ET i'm very impatient and need to know everything.
Getting alittle detailed so sorry but i had a build up and the nurse called it cottage cheese isn't that gross but the things we go through ah
Mel-J- just try and remain positive :fingerscrossed: for you. i actually played tennis again tonight which is why i'm posting so late i play comp Monday Tuesday and Thursday to keep me fit and busy but hopefully i wont be doing it for much longer cause i'm thinking positive and hoping this first FET works.:)
I go for my BT Wed so hopefully i will know when my FET will be i hate the waiting game and it hasn't even started yet.
Shajake- Which state you in?

HI Everyone!!!
I just popped in to let you all know how I'm going (and coz Bradysmum sent me a pm and asked, thanx BTW)
I'm 23 weeks and absolutely loving being pregnant!!! I have got the tiniest baby bump people don't believe me when I tell them I'm 5 months I guess coz I'm so tall and skinny!!! We didn't find out what we are having we are keeping that a secret. The bub is very very active and kicks the hell out of me!:D
DH and I are so keen to meet him or her we just can't wait. We take in turns pushing the pram around the house!! The nursery is all finished and I'm busy making little things for it.
Goodluck to Beatrice, I can't believe you are about to have your baby!!!
Hello to Bradysmum, Shajake, L.J, Leanne, Mel, MissEllie and everyone else that I can't remember. I hope you are all well!!!:hugs:
Oh and Thankyou Bradysmum for thinking of me you are truly an amazing soul!

Hi everyone,
just a quickie cos I'm at work waiting for melb cup to start.
freakin out today cos all the symptoms seem to have disappeared. Nothing, nicks, nada, after two weeks of feeling like ****, today, I feel the best that I have in ages and I'm freckin out. I want the symptoms now cos I know that it's a good sign.
why is friday not here yet???????
chilligirl I just came home from my friends place, we had afternoon tea and watched the melbourne cup. Dont worry about the symptoms too much. It may not mean anything. I had really bad cramping on Saturday and was sure AF was coming, and now its Tuesday and i dont feel anything. I am losing hope, i really dont feel this cycle has worked, but its only our 1st try at getting this far, so we will try again next year if it doesnt work, probably in Feb. Not too far away. My boobs are still sore though, but apart from that nothing. My friend keeps saying not to worry, saying that when she was pregnant, (naturally) she didnt have any symptoms till she was 7weeks pregnant! If AF hasnt arrived, isnt that a good sign?
Are you in Adelaide? If so which area do you live? North, South etc...
Hello to everyone, just a quick update on me. I caved in and did a HPT this afternoon and got a BFN. I was so positive yesterday and was sure it had worked this time as I have had nasua for the last few days and sore boobs for the last 2 days.
Can I ask if anyone else has done a HPT and got a negative but got different results from the blood test. No sign of AF yet I guess I still have to go for blood test tomorrow, but feeling a bit down now and wish I hadnt done the HPT:ecomcity:
mede1 It is so hard isnt it!! I dont blame you for doing a HPT. All i can say is, i have a friend, she fell pregnant, but naturally. Anyway, she didnt think she was pregnant, and she did a test, it was negative, it didnt show positive till 6wks pregnant. Thats when all of a sudden she started getting the sore boobs, morning sickness etc etc.
Hi everyone, how are you all today? Well i was wondering if we could get a list up of all the people in the 2ww and their dates of BT. I will start it off with mine, and people can add. We need some good luck coming through here soon. I really hope everyone gets the :bfp: they want so badly. It has been a bit of a downer lately here, with sad times, i really hope we can change it soon. I hope we all get what we want. Even if not this cycle, i hope that at some point we do.
