Poor little DS has had diarrohea for 3 days now :( I'm changing pooey nappies every hour.

I had him checked out by a doctor who said it looks like a playgroup spread virus - we have to stop all solids and use only breastmilk and water. If he gets dehydrated or doesn't get better tomorrow he needs to be seen again urgently, in case its the rota virus (he's not immunised against that)

Poor bubba :crying:

Dang playgroup!!!

Do you wish you had that immunisation??? My doc gave me info on it the other day, we are undecided.

I would go for it for sure - it wasn't available before DS turned 6 months though so we missed out.

A girl at my playgroups son was hospitalised for a week with the virus. So sad :(

Thankyou all :hugs:

Hopefully he is all better very quickly! Pooey nappies get unpleasant after the first one :barf: - especially when they are as runny and as gross as these .

I ran out of cloths quickly and have gone through a full pack of disposables in 2 days!

Ah, this is my world at the moment too! hamish has been vomiting/diarrhea for two nights now. He is so sad :crying: but today he seems to be peacefully resting instead of groaning and crying with tummy pains. Yesterday I popped down to the shops and left him with DH who had him in the lounge, sitting up reasonably happy. When I returned he was actually asleep sitting there! I can't believe he didn't topple over. No solids here either-he has no interest in them. I am soooo glad I am still breastfeeding him as I know he is getting all the necassary electrolytes and glucose. The biggest downside is the towells/nappies/clothes that i am having to wash.

DP saw some red parts in it - we need to check the next nappy it's not blood or anything scary like that. Little guy is asleep at the moment :crying:

Poor Hamish. I hope he gets better soon as well!
I'm so glad I'm breastfeeding too. As well as making sure he is getting the nutrients he needs, I know its a big comfort for him as well when he's not feeling so great.

Your bub's can have the immunisation they don't have to be 6 months... It is best to have at 2months and 3 month 2 doses before there 6 months as 6 months is when alot of bubs get it the first time... the doses just have to be 1 month apart.. My bub is 3 months and were off to the dr's tomorrow for number 2 dose...
I so don't ant to have to look after my bub if she gets it...
Wishing you all the best and HUGE :hugs:
They will be better soon...
It just not very nice at all..
