I got some new nappies yesterday and a pair of knitted shorties!!
I got 2 BBB's in Orange and Green, they are about the most beautiful nappies I have ever seen, I thought I was going to cry they are so beautiful and soft...:crying:
Bummer I have to wash them first as I wanted to try one out last night...
I also got the cutest pair of hand knitted lime striped shorties....soooooo spunky on DS's little bod!
I got a couple of fleece liners (Im just gonna go to spotlight to get some more) and some silk liners, as DS has a nappy rash.
Has anyone used silk liners before??
What do you wash them in??
:smiliedance: I know how you feel about the bamboo Ella- I want a pair of knickers made from the material! We have an orange nappy too, it's very cool.
:fingerscrossed: but I'm sure you'll find they work a treat over night. I also have a BBH's bamboo booster I put in Hugh's night nappy but they do work well.
Think I read somewhere the silk liners need to be hand washed.
I have silk liners yet to be used! Handwash needed
Well done on the bamboo fluffy mail. I would love to get some BBBs in funky colours (purple and orange look cool)

When my first Bamboo arrived I was smitten with the feel of it!:D A friend of mine was here when it arrived and after she felt it she asked," What can we turn this into when it is finished being a nappy?" We thought hankies would be nice-so soft on a snotty nose!

I havent had any fluffy mail for about a fortnight now :o But I did buy up a bit at the PBC expo last week lol
I'm waiting on two fleece covers (matching princess ones for Savannah and Isobella) and 3 large fuzzi bunz for Isobella :)
Ooooh, I luuurrve my BBB's!! I have 2 hot pink, 2 twilight, 1 orange and 2 natural. I find they still stay soft even if they're line dried directly in the sun:thumbsup: , unlike my BB H's that go crusty and need a good scrunch.

Well....
I am over joyed with the performance of my BBB's last night!!
I used the long snap in thingy and I also used a eenee flushable pad ( I know, I know, Im bad, but I just wanted to make sure I wouldnt have any leaks because I had only washed them once :o). I was just so desperate to try them out. However once they have been washed 3 times I will abandon the eenees, I just have to get some extra boosters. Best ones??
So I put the pad on the bottom, the long snap in over that (folded in 2), then a fleece liner over that. I put the adorable wool shorties over the top!! They felt slightly damp oin the bum, as he was laying on it all night, however I am more than impressed.
I thought it would leak as there was a bit of a gap around his legs....but no!
Anywho, DS is getting rather frustrated on my lap....but...Im happy...
I had only washed them once :o).
So glad you were impressed, kind of made me think after what was I worried about?
You know they don't need to be dried in between? You can just wash 3 times in a row.
I just have to get some extra boosters. Best ones??
I use BabyBeehind bamboo fold ups and Baby Eco boosters. They are great and work for us.
I have used the silk liners and they do work quite well!;)

Regarding the silk liners, i have a couple and i have just popped them into the machine with the nappy wash and they've come out fine. Does anyone know the reason that you are meant to handwash them??

Hey my silk liners are beading water off them....There is no way they will work until I stop that from happening. I might call the people I got them off...unless anyone else has a better idea?
mum2eloise, the reason to handwash in woolwash or something gentle is because the silk has magical healing properties :D for nappy rash which should not be stripped by normal washing powder or detergent.

Have you washed them first (handwash)

Yes...only once though...I will try again perhaps...

Maybe that may fix it - I know my liners have hemp attached to the back of them so I handwashed them 5 times before using them and never had that problem!
