I would dearly love a homebirth for my next birth.... but I'm wondering will I find a midwife happy to attend? I have had a c/s, then a VBAC.
First birth: went into labour spontaneously 4 days overdue.I had a c/s after around 20 hours of labour due to posterior position, dilated to 10cm but bub had not descended far enough to be born vaginally with assistance. I lost 1.5 litres of blood after the c/s - atonic uterus. Bub completely healthy on her exit.
My second birth: 10 days overdue, spontaneous labour. Fast dilation, pushing stage 1.5 hrs, bub born vaginally with 2nd degree tear. Again, atonic uterus, lost 1.5 litres of blood. Also, bub was slightly distressed, very thick mec in waters, was suctioned when born and had laboured breathing for an hour or two. And I was GBS +.
So I guess I am worried about not being able to find a midwife because:
* I have had a c/s
* Atonic uterus both times, lost 1.5 litres of blood both times
* I could be GBS + again
Will an of these things prevent me from being able to have a homebirth?
Thanks
