I was just wondering as I am getting close to giving birth to my 2nd child how much money would I be recieving from centrelink. Fortnightly know I get about $450approx.
I am just trying tto re-budget the next few months.
Does it double? Does anyone know?

hey
if you go to www.familyassist.gov.au you can get an estimate. atm i have 2 kids and i am on max rates ie:hubby earns under the $40,000 gross limit and i get $522 pre fortnight. Thats with rent assistance too. When you have #2 part a doubles but thats it

Taddy is right.
I was getting about $520 a fortnight when I had 2 kiddies (including rent assistance) now with no 3 its about $680.

hope this helps.

God, i feel poor compared to you guys with my measly 160 a fortnight (then again DP has a high salary and i always overestimate what we earn, id rather be underpaid then overpaid :D)

i would also suggest getting an online centrelink account to keep track of all your payments, update any income estimates and change address's or the likes.its been a life saver for me and has saved so many trips to the office!

For the second child you get an extra $100 something on top of what you already get.

You feel poor, I get $40 a fortnight and I don't even get that I wait till tax time to get it then they find out we earn't too much and don't even give all of it to us....:devil6:
