Eesh, I don't know what to do about this heat. We don't have air conditioning, and ds doesn't like being in the cot just yet, he's still in a sleeping ring. We have a fan on the cot, but I don't know how cool it keeps him. I hope he gets used to sleeping in their without the ring soon so the air can go through the bars.

Well I am now officially a sahm. I went back to work, but dh wasn't quite comfortable with looking after ds while I was there, so I left and am looking at the work that needs to be done around the house. It's handy as well because he talks about wanting to go away, and if I were at work it would have taken a bit of planning (dh likes to be spontaneous), so now we can do what we want when we want.

Am starting to feel the heat of xmas. Have the presents accounted for with the immediate family, however still have to buy for stepson, who is 15, and mil. Time is ticking!

Am going to see some professional photos we had done of ds on Wednesday, so hopefully they turned out well.

And that's just about it for us here!

Yup, this heat sucks! We don't have cooling either, but last summer we did buya portable a/c for Aidan's room, so he's nice and cool while the rest of us melt! The things you do for your kids ;)

37 is tomorrow's forcast, so I'm thinking of taking Aidan to the pool in the afternoon. We've been loitering around the malls taking advantage of the a/c, but as I've done all my xmas shopping, it just a waste of money :)

Xmas starts early for us, all of my hubby's family (plus a few extras) will be here on the weekend; 10 adults and 2 kids, plus the in-utero bubba! If it's still this hot I'm gonna take em all to maccas ;) nah, i've got the ham and prawns all planned.

5 shifts left of work, and then off for 5 years! Yay!

Bubbalove, where did you buy your portable a/c unit? We're trying to find a water cooler for ds' room, but haven't seen much around yet.

We bought it last year at the Good Guys in Tuggeranong. Not cheap though - from memory it was about $1000! It's worth it to have him sleep on those really hot nights though
