Just wanting to hear from those of you who are expecting their second etc child to discuss issues with you eg did you pop out a lot quicker, (i already look like i did when i was 4mths with charlotte and i'm just 9wks).

Hi charlotte03mum.... I am also pregnant with my second bubba. I'm a bit of a "fat girl" LOL so I can't tell if I'm showing yet, or if my tummy is just showing the consequences of my Big Mac cravings!!!! I am SO much more tired with this pregnancy (although of course having an older child definately increases the exhaustion factor) but I have the disgusting taste in my mouth REALLY BAD with this one, whereas I didn't have it at all with The Princess. I am also getting a lot of head-spins, getting dizzy and feeling like I'm not breathing enough, whereas with Princess I didn't get that. I'm HOPING that with this one I don't get the horrendous heart-burn I got last time!!

So how is Charlotte coping with it all? Have you told her yet? I told Princess straight away, because I wanted to be able to explain my vomiting/mood swings/tiredness. And she is really good about it - when I was spewing the other day, I started crying and said "i really hate this! i hate feeling like this!" and didn't realise that she was standing behind me. I thought, oh no she's going to resent the baby for putting her mummy through all this.... but noooooooo I got a lecture! "Mummy, your body is looking after the baby, not you! This doesn't last forever, and soon we'll have a beautiful baby!!!" (she listens to me more than I thought she did!!!)

Your litle girl sounds gorgeous saying that, my son is 4 and i was throwing up the other day and he is standing behind me going 'Can i watch Thomas video mum.' Me have tried to tell him about mum having a baby etc. but he just says 'i don't want one' so i have decided to leave it for awhile. I can see dramas up ahead though!

Hi Ladies,

I too am expecting my 2nd. Grace is 14mths and a little champion!!! We think she is the greatest little girl. I had no sickness while preg with her, but this time is so different. I graduated last week from feeling ill to being ill so that is not pleasant.

I know what you mean about showing, I already am out of my boardshorts(which I rely on for Grace's swimming lessons) and I am only in my 11th week. I am putting it down to everything being a little stretched(so to speak) rather than my ravenous appetite. I have already put on 2kg so am hoping I do not continue the great weight gain and just go up a nice amount.

Good luck to you all..

Paula

Hi all!
I am also expecting my second, my Oliver is 14months. I just had a question about the age gap between your child and baby. Did you plan to have the age gap you will have or did it just happen that way. We decided to start ttc when Oliver was 12months and baby no 2 was conceived 2 weeks later. I didn't think it would happen that quickly which is why we started trying at 12months, thinking we might get a 2 year age gap. We are just so happy :D !! I should have known as ds was conceived on the pill.

Have a great day :)

I am actually pg with my 3rd but with my 2nd YES I showed real early I mean 7 weeks I couldn't button my pants anymore! This time I am not showing as fast
but I think that is bc after my last child my uterus started leaning twards my back
so I am just now starting to pooch.

Hi I'm pregnant with my second too. I don't remember feeling this tired so quickly. I'm fairly early on and have a little belly, but I don't know if thats still leftovers from having my son. We were going to wait untill he was 12 months before trying again, but my pill ran out a month earlier and I didn't see the point in getting a new perscription filled, and we got pregnant straight away! I half didn't expect it to happen so quickly, but should have known better, as this is how #1 was concieved. Hubby and I are really happy and looking forward to having two little ones! A bit scared about the work load for me but I guess thats life :D

Ellen - DH and I planned to start trying from when DD was 12mths old as we assumed that it would take about 5-6mths to fall(same as dd) but it happened pretty much straight away. I am really happy about the age gap as there is quite a large gap between myself and my siblings they are 5 & 8 years older than me. Although I adore them as an adult I really didn't like them as a child(maybe it was the other way around??)

I am hoping with about 22mths gap they will grow to be friends. I do wake up some days (especially during morning sickness days) and wonder what I have got myself into but that passes really quickly. I am so excited about having this baby and so is DH we just feel really lucky to be blessed twice.

Em - I really love the name Noah. It is on my list of Boys names for bub!!

Is anyone a SAHM or do you work as well, I was saying to my DH on the weekend if I was working as well this time round I don't think I could stay awake all day to do any work. My hat goes off to mums who do it all!!

Cheers
Paula

Hi

I'm 9wks pregnant and i also have popped out early, my son Kaleb is only 11 months old so at this stage i'm in a bit of denial about even being pregnant, it all happened so quick that i havn't had time to adjust.

Not only have i popped out but i'm so much more tired then i was with my first pregnacny. I must admit that i'm very scared as i'm not sure i'm ready to have 2 children so close together.

Hope all goes well for you :)

cheers
