Hi all :)

I have not dropped off the face of the earth lol just been super busy.

And last week Bradley's Babysense Monitor alarm went off (goes off after 20secs of no breathing being detected). I have never jumped out of bed so quick. I raced into his room and he was face down and not breathing  I quickly raced him back into my room where DH have him CPR and he was breathing again after 3 breaths.
We rang for a ambulance and we spent last week in hospital. He had some form of virus as well as a cold and them combined with him rolling over is what made him stop breathing.
He is now 100% good thankgod. His cot has been moved into our room and I wake at the slightest noise. He is still rolling over but has learnt to place his cheek on the bed so he can breathe easily.
I find it hard to leave him on his tummy but the paedatrician and nurses said we can't stop him, it is a developmental thing and they do not reccommend roll prevention items. But he only tends to go on his tummy when he is sleeping lightly, he stays on his back if he is in a deep sleep :)

WOW... what a stressful time, thankgod all turned out ok..

How good that ur man knew how to do CPR on babies....highlights the importance of having first aid training  , what a hero..

And I agree...those monitors are worth their weight in gold, you must have absolutly died when you heard it go off.. lucky you both snapped into action.

So sorry you had to go through that! How scary. Every parents worse nightmare. When my dd started choking at 8mths I completely lost it and forgot what to do. Luckily my best friend was there and grabbed her and got the bicky out. So well done for you and your hubby's quick response! Am so glad your bub is happy and healthy.

oh my god i got horrible goose bumps when i read your post.i would have panicked i cant imagine how scary that was for you.THANK GOD you invested in one of those alarms.i would find it hard to ever sleep again.when indi first started rolling on her tummy i kept rolling her over, too scared to leave her.what made it worse once i was just watching her making sure she was breathing ok and she went a good few seconds without a breath then gasped for air.so she had forgotten to breathe for a while.i am sort of relaxin a bi more about her being on her tummy cos she rolls right back over if i turn her and i cant be awake 24 hours a day.that is a nightmare what you went thru and im so happy for you that it ended ok
