I am really freaking out about this and want to know if anyone has ever had anything similar happen to their baby??

This morning I was changing 3month old DD and noticed what look like threadworms, the rest of us all had the choc squares last week after I noticed my toddler had them. My GP said not to treat DD until we knew for sure she had them, so I made an appointment but then DD had a poo and (this is really, really gross and was quite scary to see!) there were three large, about 60mm long brown/ blackish worms in her poo....

So I took a pic and took it to my GP who didn't seem too concerned just said that they look to be worms. DD had another, worm free poo when we were at the GP and he took a sample for testing and gave me some vermox for her.

She seems fine, as normal as ever but I made the mistake of googling what these things could be and now I'm freaking out. I should've asked more questions at the doc because I'm really worried. I thought threadworms were tiny white things??

Anyone have any experience with something like this?? Thanks

Not me, sorry but here's a bump!

Hopefully your doc has been in contact with you by now anyway :)

Roundworm??

Thread worms are only tiny and white.... There are loads of other parasites humans can catch (im sure you've read all about in Google now lol)... Roundworm being another common one
