Stiches are still there

Hi Everyone,
I had baby Eve 5 weeks ago now and I still have two stiches remaining one at the top and one at the bottom of my episiotomy. Is this normal?

Hi there! I still had stiches when I went for my 6 week check up! - oby said that it was ok and they would dissolve/go away in a little bit. I think they were gone by 8 weeks:) If you are worried - ring/check with oby :)

Mine were pulling so DH cut them(1) out...not that I'm recomending that but there's something about me and dissolving stitches that DONT dissolve!!!

After my experience a few years back, get it checked! I couldn't figure why i hurt so much...i couldn't sit down, could barely walk etc and i thought this is what childbirth did to your body. I went to get it checked out and found out that the stitches didn't dissolve and tissue had grown over them.Too make matters worse, the doctor that put them there stitched me together! :mad: No wonder I could't move. Anyway they recut, and pulled them out..instant relief!
So my point is, get them checked before they embed.

Nope....it was better instantly as they weren't pulling anymore.....ahhhhhhhhhhhh...............
