hi all!
is there any reason my 9 month old does not like to be on his back (or the car seat for that matter)
He never really has liked the car seat, and with regards to the laying on his back, changing him, whether it be nappies, or clothes has always been like hearing a pig at slaughter....

i'm starting to get really tired of it!!

help and advice would be greatly appreciated!

cheers!

Reflux?

I'd be booking him in to see a Chiro - could be an alignment problem.

Is it being on his back, or being restrained? Thats about the age my DD2 hated straps, hands on her etc anything where she couldnt escape.

With mine it was either reflux or gut issues if he was unhappy on his back but I'd imagine of your LO is otherwise happy that's unlikely to be an issue?

My 8m old is like that and I just figured she wanted to be on the move?

thanks all for your replies.

the car seat thing is getting really ridiculous. he cried himself hoarse today and we only went to the shops 15 minutes away!!

i know he is crawling and doesn't like being restrained, but he has ALWAYS not liked the carseat even rear facing, and has always cried and cried...I had to time my trips around his nap times as i knew there was a good chance he would fall asleep after a little way...

have booked him into a chiro next week to see if it an alignment issue.

thank you all again!

Does he get ear infections? Has a doctor ever looked at his ears? My dd hated the car seat, hates sleeping on her back etc and she has glue ear. Apparently its quite uncomfortable for them.

thanks, bumMum, no he has not had one ear infection since he was born (he is doing a lot better than DS1 who by this age had had a couple already - he now has grommets)

worth having a look at tho.

thanks!
