View Full Version : i need someone to talk to
i am an american living in france with my french wife. i have no one to talk to here even tho i work here i still have a hard time reading french and understanding when ppl speak fast. my wife is in her first pregnancy and it will be the first time i become a father and we are both new at this. she has forums and ppl she can talk to as she speaks french natively but me no. i would appreciate it if there are any dads out there or moms who would be willing to talk to me about the process of pregnancy after the fifth month and what to expect what to do and what they experienced.
thank you for any response

Welcome to Bub Hub, I'm a fellow newbie here. I'm presently 29 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I'm not sure what you want to know. I hope all's going well with your wife's pregnancy.
I guess for us women it's nice to have an interested partner, which you seem to be - that's a big help in itself. It must be hard being in a foreign country when such a big life changing experience is happening. Let us know how we can help.
Hi there :)
I'm sure you will find lots of people here that are more than willing to help out, me being one of them!
My name's Tracy and my hubby and I have an almost 11 month old baby boy. We are trying oh so hard for our next one (took us 2 yrs to concieve our 1st)
I read what seems like a million books on pregnancy and birth while I was pregnant, but NOTHING can prepare you for what happens next...
Anyway, anything you need to know, feel free to ask, and I mean ANYTHING!!
Till next time,
I'd love to chat and I'm sure my dh will add his 2 cents if you want a male perspective. He actually speaks a little French and is presently working with a couple a native French women - their here doing their PHDs. We have a 7 month old dd so things are still fresh in my memory.
I have a couple of book suggestions if you'd like or will be happy to answer any questions. My backgroud b4 baby was nursing/midwifery.
I'm Karena, mother to Harry 8 months. All you need to do is post a question and you will get lots of respones. It's wonderful that you are so interested in your wife's pregnancy, so feel free to ask away. We all love a chat here on bub hub and giving advice.
Good luck with everything and hoep to chat with you more.
