Well we have only been kind of potty training for a couple of weeks now. DD is 18 mths old today.
Sometimes leaving her nappy off for a while and showing her the potty.

This morning I left her nappy off and kept an eye on her. She started looking like she was going to go so I grabbed her and put her on the potty.
She just sat there and was going to get off so I quickly got a book and started reading. It only took about 3mins of reading and she did a poo. :smiliedance: :yelclap: She freaked a little bit as she hadn't actually seen anything like that before.LOL. But we danced and clapped and yayed her and she was really excited then.
Hopefully she will keep it up. Now to catch a wee.

YAY!!! :smiliedance: :yelclap:

My DD did something similar last night. She said poo while pointing at her nappy, so I took it off and grabbed the potty. She kept sitting down then standing up and walking around. She went down the hallway, and I was thinking that she was going to do it there. But, she came back and stood in front of the potty. She did poo while standing up, so I grabbed her and held her over the potty. Some managed to get in. She was horrified at her poo as she has never really seen it before. I assured her she did good and clapped and shouted and made a big fuss. I showed her the poo in the potty and told her it was really good.

Not sure if I have gotten the message across and think I may have just freaked her out but :fingerscrossed:

Jasmine actually went be herself yesterday. A wee. I was so proud.
But today she has got more on the floor than in the potty. I think she is pretty freaked out about the whole thing too. She likes flushing it down the toilet though. LOL.

Hi Sarah:wave:

Hows P.J. going with it?

Rather more miss than hit at the moment. But he is really stopping everything and standing still when he does a poo so I think I have more of a chance of catching that than wee... Give him time and he'll get there eventually... Though he did try and pull Nat's pants up when he went to the toilet today... while he was weeing!

He he, he is so cute. At least he knows what its all about. He'll probably catch on really quickly.

That's what I think, it's just getting the first couple... Can't wait to get into Big W and see if they have one of those step laddery things that I want to get for the toilet!

Yea I'm really excited too! Hopefully only 1 more sleep. :fingerscrossed:

I would like to get a potty with a tray so she can sit a cup or a book on it.

In my pregnant mind I only read potty and tray... here's me imagining Jasmine sitting in a litter tray... oh deary!
We were up there today and they are really powering along, Donut King looks almost finished!
Hey and there's a new pet shop (attatched to Total Vet Care near BP) that may be opening tomorrow or early next week.
We managed to let ourselves in for a sneak peak the other night... thanks to Nathan!

Yes I'll definately be up there in the morning bright and early. :yelclap: :smiliedance:

congrats to you and your DD.

my DS who turned 3 in June is finally going to the big toilet (well last 2 days yay) for both his wees and poos. Hasn't had a nappy on all day but I'll put one on him when he goes to bed tonight just in case.

so glad he's finally going by himself because he starts preschool next year.

thank you - it's a great feeling when they finally accomplish toilet training especially when you both haven't stressed out over it. Just hope he doesn't digress now we've come this far
