 Fellow Central coastians!

I would very much love to meet up with everyone.
I feel quite lonesome when it comes to knowing other Mum's in my area.
Although I've just gotten started! And My little one seems to be very unsettled and we're still trying to work out 'our' routine,
(if something as such exists with a newborn! :p )

I hope when she's a bit older we can all eventually meet up!:)
You all seem like lovely Mum's!

Have fun at your day out!:D

Hi everyone. I havent been in this section for a while. It looks like there are a lot of new central coast mums since last time I posted here too which is good.
Well I have had a baby girl since the last time I posted!! She was born on the 5th October (so she is just over a month old now). I am still on maternity leave too, so hopefully I will be able to come to your next meet up.
I will come back and check to see when the next one is happening :D

Hey guys,

I have not seen this section before but i am really glad i have now. I would really really really love to meet some other mums from Central Coast.

It is funny, i usually get along so well with people from all walks of life but when it comes to other mums i get nervous.

I think it is a hang up from having my beautiful son Aidan when i was "young". The other mums at his schools made me feel awekard and like i did not know what i was doing!!!

I am really lonley and have it on my "TO DO LIST" to make new friends for the coming new year.

I would like to meet up anywhere with you guys but am putting some feelers out there for who would like to meet up for a BBQ somewhere nice?

Maybe our partners and other children could come?

My little step daughter would love to make some little friends too she is 6 now.

I would be happy to coordinate this gathering and would be open to making this as easy for everyone.

An example of where to meet? Maybe at shelly beach? or patonga? or sommersby waterfalls? Or the waterfront in gosford playground?

Somewhere where there are bbq's.

If i had a bigger safer yard i would say my place. Maybe soon:fingerscrossed:

Let me know what you think.

Hey everyone,
its been awhile since i last posted in here, looking for some young mums to meet up with on the coast.. but on another note i have a question. I am finishing my maternity leave when Aida is 6 mths and that will be end of january, ive been thinking of day cares and what not but was wondering if anyone had thought into family day care, where a parent looks after other children from there home. I think it may be cheaper for me in the long run, but was wondering if anyone on here knows anyone who does this or how i get some info about FDC.
Hoping to hear from you lovely gals soon,
Take care and keep on baby gazing! :)

BlueEyedGirl
22-11-2006, 16:08
Hey Jess,

Have you tried googling to find out about the FDC?

I think I remember hearing an as on the radio about it, and the website....

Hope you find somewhere nice.

HanCh
23-11-2006, 04:42
Hi jess
I put my oldest DD into FDC when she was 18months old and she stayed there until she started school. Although it was great (and cheaper than preschool) I probably would send her to preschool the year before she started school (more children and structure etc). It was great when she was little though!
As far as I know (unless it has changed) it is run through Wyong shire council. Where do you live? Im not sure if Gosford council does it. I guess they would..... If you need any other info let me know and i can contact the lady who looked after DD and ask her if you like :)
