Hi, i have a query on breastfeeding. I havent fed my DS with breastfeeding since he was 3 months old, he is now 7 months. My milk dried up pretty quick after i stopped feeding him with it. In the last couple of days ive noticed that my breasts are getting fuller. Everytime i go near him when he is upset i get that tingly feeling that i used to get when my milk is coming down. Is it possible to get my milk back even though i havent breastfed in 4 months? Or is my body confused and is picking up signals off my DS? Im not sure what to think, i didnt think it would be possible for the milk to come back after it has dried out. Has anyone else been in the same circumstance as me?

Lots of women work really hard to relactate after weaning. You might be a natural! :D Breasts are pretty amazing when you consider that women who've never even given birth can lactate to bf an adopted child! Magic :)

We have a friend in her 50's, whose youngest child is 17 and she could still supply a small country with breastmilk!

I always want mine to hang around so one day when I get the time I can donate it to a breastmilk bank.

Well i thought it was my milk coming back, in fact i was hoping cause i missed it. My AF came a day after the tingly feeling had happened so it must of been that. The funny thing is, is that i have never had that feeling before a AF was due and it was only happening around my DS when he was upset. Do you think it could of been the fact of my DS being upset that it triggered the tingly feeling? I was getting excited that it might of come back. I absolutely loved bf my DS and the only reason i gave up was because he was very underweight and i just thought it was better to bottlefeed him.

You can always try relactating if you'd like to. Breastfed babies gain weight more slowly than ff babies and some bm is always better than none. There's heaps of info online about it.
:D Aren't boobs amazing?!
