i've got one for my ds, i brought it from kmart a few mths ago, its soo cool, his sleeping bag bit has a car on it, the only thing i find with it is that the material is too thick for summer, I might make another cover at some stage so he can use it in summer

does anyone remember exactly what theirs is called so i can check on ebay and not sound like a clown tomorrow trying to explain myself to the shop assistants :D what area of the shop do you think i might find them in?

I think one that I saw was called 'ready bed' or something like that. In target they were in the same area as the sleeping bags and stuff...kmart had them near all the flat packed furniture, I think they had some of those kids flip out sofas near there too.

Yep, they're 'ready beds'. I got both my girls Dora ones as Mackenzie has an aversion to sleeping in her bedroom (and has for the last year  ), so she sleeps on her ready bed in the lounge room. It been used every night for the last 6 weeks, and is holding up really well. I got mine off ebay...have you tried there? I payed $70 each for mine though, and i know in Kmart etc, they're probably a bit cheaper?

Yeah ... we have two ready beds and they have been absolute lifesavers at times!

Not only do we pull them out when we are going somewhere, but they are great if you have a child with a stomach bug as they are easy to wash and the mattresses can be hosed down at the end and easily disinfected as opposed to trying to get smell, stains and bugs out of an ordinary mattress. It also means taht you can have them sleeping near you but not have to have them in the same bed as you!

We have barbie and bob the builder and from memory, they are around $40 full price. I got mine from target.

thanks so much for that girls. im off today to see if i can get one for jett. maybe one of you can help me with this crazy child of mine.. every time he wakes up, he hysterically screams until i come and get him.. ive let him go and after say half an hour hes just going mental.. but this is after every single sleep, morning noon and night.. he never just sits in his cot and plays. hes 13 months at the moment.. flatly refuses to walk and I am so over the screaming.. and the tanties! He has this huge seperation anxiety where say if we're in the mothers room at the shopping centre and we're with my friend who he has known from birth, and i go to the toilet and shut the door (but still talking to him) he loses it like ive left the bloody country. whats going on?! help!!

Good luck finding one! :fingerscrossed:

I think about your son's age (my DD is only a month older) they do go through a phase of separation anxiety.

My DD is still going through it at the moment but not to the extent of Jett. She sleeps well, but for the rest of the day follows me round like a bad smell crying unless she's sitting on my lap or i'm nursing her. She climbs on the couch now too, so now i get NO peace! I even have to have my shower after she goes down at night, 'cos she tries to climb in with me, and i have a toilet dilemma, 'cos if i shut the door to 'go', she screams, and if i let her in, she climbs up at the side of the toilet while i'm going! :o

She's just started to take steps, so fingers crossed when she's walking she can follow her big sis around a bit more and leave me alone. I can't really suggest anything, sorry, but it does get better eventually. :hugs:

Oh, i just realised i'd looked at your avatar and thought it said 19.9.05 not 06! I was thinking he was born on that date (05, and you made a mistake) or is it the date the pic was taken? Silly me! LOL

Anyhoo, no, i guess it can't hurt to get them used to what the toilets for....if this anxiety thing keeps up, by the time they reach toilet training age they'll be pros!
