My dd is being breastfed, and has broken out with a really bad case of pimples, is it just from the skin on skin contact from feeding? or something in my diet that is causing this?
thanks :)
It's quite common for newborns to get pimples around that time due to all the extra hormones in your milk. Perfectly normal.
Total normal, milk pimples. They are from all the hormones. They will disappear in a few weeks.

thank you both so much ladies, I thought I was eating something to upset her skin!
pimple? i don't think so. try keeping your hands away from her face. wash your hand before cuddling with her. and take extra care of her skin.

Its just the left over preg hormones in your milk. Its totally normal. My little boy got them SOOOO bad it was horrible.
Just a warm flannel a couple of times a day if it makes you feel better. they dont bother the bub so dont worry too much about them. DO NOT SQUEEZE THEM!!! they should clear up in a few days!

Normal for babies. My midwives told me when my dd was born that that was normal. I believe they call them milk spots. Keep them clean and don't touch. Just a warm washer to clean. They will eventually clear up.

My dd has a bad case of these pimples too, she is 5 wks old and they look quite red and inflamed at times , I was most worried but apparently they disappear over time like everybody has mentioned :)
