Asthma- What were the first signs?

I have a 6 yr old daughter who everytime she gets a cold gets a chest infection,
I am wondering if its related to asthma somehow- she has missedover 35 days off school this year, with suspected whooping cough and 2 other nasty coughs, all which have kept her up all night and left her drained.

I dont know if its asthma related but I think i better start looking into it.

The wheeze and asthmatic cough when breathing out. It started as babies for both of them.

Have you tried ventolin and has it made any improvement? When I took my DS to the Drs that was their advice and it went from there. Usually they have to be diagnosed with RAD (reversible airways disease) first.
