Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone can please help me, My Daughter was born 25th June & is dribbling heaps/red rose cheeks/clingy/attitude/throwing up heaps which isnt like her. Anyway I think she's teething but I took my daughter to the doc's to get checked out anyway & they said everything was fine with her & that she wouldnt be teething at this age, I know plenty of babies who teeth at this age.

Anyway I was wanting to know as she has all the signs of teething but is throwing up and wasnt sure if it was a sign of it or not. And if anyone knows of any good suggestions to settle her & to settle down the clingyness. Im trying panadol at the moment & I got a teether for her the other day

Hear from your suggestions soon.
Thanks
Sam

I don't have any advice re: the teething (I was one of those lucky mums whose baby got her teeth with no drama's... but DS is sure to be different!!) But if you want her to stop being so "clingy" then you need to meet and exceed her emotional needs. So if that means you have to cuddle her all day long, then that's what you have to do. Have you got a sling? A Hug-A-Bub is brilliant for this, it makes bubba feel so safe and secure, as well as giving them cuddles with mum - while mum has two hands free to do what she has to do! Another suggestion is perhaps having a lovely warm bath together, or a shower, very relaxing for both mum and bub, and skin-on-skin contact is so soothing for little bubbys.
Throwing up though, I didn't think that was a teething symptom? Perhaps take her to a different doctor? Give her plenty of breastfeeds and lots and lots of cuddles, but I'd be taking her to a different doctor. You know her best - if she seems "off-colour" or "not herself" then perhaps even take her to the emergency room at the hospital.

It really does sound like all the symptoms of teething.......except for the throwing up part. I'd definitely be taking her to another GP if she isn't keeping anything down...........babies can dehydrate very quickly.

If you work out she is suffering from teething.........all the Mums I know rave about the teething gel made by the Womens & Childrens Hospital. You can just walk into the hospital pharmacy and buy some for approx $10 I think. Enter the hospital via the Kermode Street entrance.

Hope your bub is OK soon.

G is a June bubba and teething -all the same symptoms except the throwing up until 5 min ago (im blaming that on him being a guts tonight and trying to make up for the days lost appeitite).

As for calming my doc said that to get a full fed in to try the panadol 20-30min before fedtime so they are settled, then rub bongela into the gums just before the fed.

G likes to be close at the moment - his head on my shoulder or chest, and just bounce. We have been walking around or just swaying.

Im praying for this stage to end and bring back my happy baby!

Hi guys, thanks for your replies. Looks like she is teething!

I went to CYH and they said I should try Charlotte on a AF formula as she thinks s26gold is too strong for her, Would u use KAricare AF/s26 AF or they said even try normal s26?

I have to always have a towel with me when I burp her too catch all her spew & its too much for a bib to catch.

Hear from your thoughts soon?
