Ok - DS ( 8months) has been doing very well on the solids and eating like a champ - however in the last 2ish weeks - he just has not been interested in bottle.... He is not the biggest of fella's .. so can't really afford to be cutting back so much! He will take 200ml at brekky - then we struggle with 100-150 at lunch (is a fight though) and then afetr dinner - 200mlish if we are lucky.

He is getting solids first and then bottle in most instances- except brekky time. Should I cut back on some of the solids ? How much is enough at this age? Does the weight to formula ratio still apply????.............. hmmmmmmmmmm

I don't think the formula to weight ratio applies after they are eatting a lot of solids. From the guide on the formula tin it seems normal for them to drop back a bit in volume. So long as he's still having lots of wet nappies he's probably getting enough. Offer formula in a cup instead of water if its possible he's filling up on water, and also you can make up his cereal with formula and he'll get some extra that way.

Are you offering the bottle straight after meals or leaving some time and giving the bottle as a snack? I did the later, formula as snacks and at bedtime once DD was eatting 3 solid meals a day. You could try having the first bottle first thing in the morning, before his breakfast instead of after. Schedule that I seem to remember is something like:
6:30 wake, bottle
7:30 breakfast cereal
play, walk dogs, etc
9:30 or 10 snack (bottle) & sleep
around 11 or 12: lunch
play
2ish bottle & 2nd nap
play
5ish dinner
play
7:30 bottle & bed

It's been awhile tho so my memory may be off.
