Need I say more...
I am soo dehydrated, despite all the water I drink...

Ronan has been like this for 3 days now, and even with all the hand-scrubbing, disinfecting and hot-water clothes washing, I have got the same bug. I am feeding Ariene around 2 hourly and I'm miserable- trying to feed her always coincides with a painful, crampy attack. :(

Does anyone know if I can I take anti-diarrhea tablets? Or would something milder like Mylanta or Rennie help? (I actually have some of that in the cupboard) Or is that out of bounds too?

Oh you poor thing!! :hugs:

Don't know about anti d tablets... Rennie is safe (ate tonnes of it while O was pregnant, cos the doctor said it was fine) but it was to help heartburn. Don' t think that would help you much at the moment!

I have no info but wanted to just send you a :hugs: hope you're better soon, mate.

Ooh you could drink some breastmilk, it's magic stuff and fixes everything! ;)

Hee hee! I don't doubt this at all- but at the rate it scoots through Ariene, I'm sure it will do the same with me, but at double the speed! Although I bet it tastes nice with milo.. ;)

OK, now Ariene has the bug and it is day 4 of gastro for Ronan and now he has started vomiting too. He looks awful and has lost so much weight... off to the doc fior us  It is SO hard keeping up with all the spewy and pooey clothes and nappies while feeling sick myself :barf:
Anyhoo, scuse the winge, just letting it out... And while we are seeing the doctor, I will ask about taking anti-run meds...

Thanks guys- those kind words were so nice to read in such a stressy, yucky time :hugs:

What was the verdict from the Doc about taking Anti-D meds?

As another tip - if you have diarhorrea take anything with codeine in it (such as Panadeine). The codeine is a "binding" agent and will help stop "the runs!"
