We usually meet up for a coffee and sometimes some lunch. Some stay just an hour or so. Others stay all day. It all depends on you and your bubs and what you can do. There are usually pm's to let everyone know where we are going as its a lot safer. If you check the October NSW thread it might also be there as we are meeting the same as there.

Just curious...I know these are called NSW meets but does anyone outside of Sydney actually go? I live 2 1/2 hours away from Sydney and I see a 'NSW meet' thread and don't even bother....5 hours of travelling in one day is a lot!
Just curious I guess, cause if people don't then why not just call it a Sydney meet?

It means everyone is welcome whether you choose to come or not is up to you but again your welcome ! Its held in the city to make it fair for everyone because of so many people coming from different areas.
We have many that come from all around including interstate so its not that much of a push & for me even though im "close" to Sydney because i rely on good old City Rail it means it takes me a good 3hrs round trip which also takes into consideration the 30min walk to & from the station !
Anyways maybe one day we might get to see you too !

Now a central coast NSW meet I'd do....that'd be about a 3 hour round trip and I wouldn't be so terrified about getting lost in Sydney all on my own!

It's sort of a two-fold meeting place I think - the new meeting place and the old one so everyone can come. Everyone with little bubs left the last meet early, after the toddlers and kids left. and a few of us (me!) missed out because nobody was at the first meeting place an hour after the meet up time, they were all in the new meeting place with the little bubs. While I was in the first meeting place waiting for two hours. :(

I know its not a hugely practical place . .its more a place to use as a base so that we can wait somewhere for everyone after last time . a few late people missed us . I always figured once everyone is therewe can always go somewhere else like the park or playground etc thats more practical.

So for those of us with older kids we can meet up with the others then go over to the playground that way they can run feral for awhile then we can sit down for lunch to rest ourselves before they run riot again !

Or at least thats what im doing !!!! ( which means RB is too :p )

The playground is metres away from the cafe. The cafe is lovely and cool and has couches and the playground is stinking hot but full of toddler playing equipment. So there is something for everyone.

THEREFORE, Mums with babies can sit in the cafe and drink coffee, tea and assorted beverages while the mums with toddlers can come in and go out to the playground as they please to wear the little blighters out.

THIS WAY if someone arrives late there will be people at a set location so they won't be wandering around wondering who is a bubhubber or who isn't or wondering why there is no one there because they have all left because they didn't want to stay out in the searing heat, toddler or no toddler. Which is what happened last time.

You can see the cafe from the playground and you can see the playground from the cafe.

So we will see ALL of you aussies, kiwis, poms and canadians tomorrow.

The cafe won't know what hit them :eek: :laughing:

I am trying really hard to get there tomorrow as I would love to meet all you lovely ladies. However, everything is going wrong atm. Lost my purse, with keycards, credit cards, fuel cards etc etc. And as luck would have it I have no money on me and no petrol in car! :banghead:

By the time the bank opens, I won't make it into town by the suggested time. So I guess I am going to miss out. :(

Well as if MY day wasn't Already filled with joy and LAUGHTER ... I have to take Devil BOY and Horror Girl to the Docs in the morning befre I can go ANYWHERE. Horror girl for Blood test result, devil boy for high temps ... so ...... she should be going back to school, then I'll be in with HIM .... although will try to palm him off (being SO sick n all .... Yeah I'm a HORRIBLE MUM!!!!) and come in by myself. THe way I figure it he is better off being at home with my parents where he is in his own bed and have someone waiting hand ad foot than being in town where the weather is unpredictable, Mum is Unpredictable and getting off to sleep is non existant cos he HATES sleeping in the pram.

Luckily the eldest is an angel and ISN'T SICK!!!!! LOL

THe next one is the Christmas Party ... and an Adults Only meet .....

Well I'm up . .Matilda booted me out of my own bed . .she had been sleeping really well then of course last night decided to do her every 2 hr thingy .. but she's asleep now so will let her be til its time to almost leave .give her booby and maybe she will sleep some more in the pram!

Yesterday was such an odd day . . my mums friend had a baby but then the old guy behind us passed away . .the world works like that I guess . .

I had a great time today girls! I apologise for not speaking with everyone, and for leaving so quickly, but DD was about to throw a spack!

She stayed awake all the way on the train, and fell asleep in the car 5 minutes from home. I have left her there. The rear door and front door are open, and I can hear from here if she wakes up. :sleeping: :sleeping: :eek:

Glad I came. Hope to catch up with you all again soon.

Not being rude or anything. I was just standing there for so long on my own. The kids were starting to wind themselves up into a huge tanty, I could just feel it! There is only so long a kid can play with sand for! :rolleyes:

My DD2 was going around taking the other kids' hats off :o so it was probably best that we left when we did! :eek:

I had a great time today! Ben of course was asleep before I even hit the bathroom after we all parted ways. :rolleyes:

Slept most of the way to pick up DH and woke up yelling as we sat waiting for him. lol

He's just had a big feed and is about to fall asleep for the night, I think! Me too! :laughing:

I had my "ice-breaker" on my pram, but that's okay. My fault, I was not at all organised before going, I had lost my purse the day before and everything was up in the air! I was quite moody by the time I got there, so it was probably for the best that I didn't meet anyone, you all would have thought I was a moody cow! :o The kids were playing up too so we will just look forward to the next one!

Most of the ladies were out the front of the coffee place for most of the morning, only a few of us ventured to the park for short periods, if you noticed a big fat woman in a green shirt screaming 'Cooper' and running around crying that was me :o Little buggar ran off on me AGAIN!!

Fanks so much for a nice morning though everyone, it was great to meet some people I had not met before and wonderful to get together with those I had not seen for awhile. Im LOVING all the bubhub babies atm, they are all just soooo cute!!
My kids were so exhausted, Coops got sent to his room when he got home for being so disobediant whilst we were out, and his dad went in to have a bit of a man to man with him and he was crashed out on the end of his bed, bless him. Poor little pain in the ar*e :D

I did my best to get around to people but it was a bit difficult with 2 toddlers, both usually going in opposite directions, so my apologies if I did not get a chance to chat to you, looking forward to doing it again soon so I can chat more.

I was lucky, on my way home I shared a carriage with a luffly mummy and her little girl, who was a bit older than Tilly and her little bubba. The little ones played and looked out the windows together and the mum and I had a rather pleasant conversation. Not so bad a way to end a day. I have had alot worse :D

Abigail is only 7 and a haf months.....wait no she wil be 8 months in 5 days :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: anyway she is only little and im exhausted cannot imagine how hyper she is when she is 2 or 3!! hahaha lord help us all! It was fantastic seeing so many people there!1 .. I hope I got to say hello to everyone . .I tried to be a social butterfly but Im a big chatterbox and stuck blabbering away! . .

I think everyone looked just fine and dandy! . .Being mother's we don't have high fashion but I think we all scrub up pretty dang sweetly!

I think Eliza might be going for both ways . .that should make for some interesting dates in the future! . .Matilda wasn't impressed by it all but I think she was just cranky from being tired. .she needs to work on her social skills with bubbas. . adults she is fine but another little one and eeks . .well apart from Rafee's little thomas' gorgeous curls. .she loved them . .and was almost into asher's hair as well . .maybe a future hairdresser?

I think i nearly :crying: then later on he was giving kisses to RB's friends little one Cohen !!!!! But he especially loved Erin !!!!
