i'm about to buy some more PUL covers but I'm not sure whether to get motherease air flow or Tot bots. I haven't tried either of these brands before. Both seem good, but which is BEST?! Can anyone recommend...?
Also, my daughter is just 8kgs, would she be too small for the covers that start at 9kgs?

:D I haven't tried mother ease covers, but i do have a tot bots PUL cover and i love it! It's my favourite one, other than my wool cover, of course!
My DD is 8.5 kg and she is in size 2 (which is 9kg - 16kg). It's done up on almost the tightest it can go but still fits perfect. I'd recommend them, for sure:thumbsup:

I've got both types, and both are as good as each other IMHO. I like my wool covers too, though :D My son is 8.5kgs, the size 1 Tots Bots are too small for him, and I think the Motherease I've got are medium (?) but he's a big bullfrog (as my aunty calls him ) so the size 2 TB's and the Motherease both fit him nicely.
With the TB's size 2, how good is this: I got it while I was still pregnant. My daughter still has pull ups at night, and we've tried "cloth options" for her. One of the first things we tried was putting hemp boosters into her terry-towelling training pants, then putting the TB size 2 cover over the top. It only just fit - but it did fit! Stayed put all night and did the job. She was 19kgs when it fit her . So I think the 9-16kg label is quite a loose general rule - it fit my son when he was 7kgs and it fit my daughter when she was 19kgs.
i love my tots bots pul cover:thumbsup:

I haven't tried Tot Bots but I really like the air flow by Mother Ease. Av has the M and it fits him on the tightest setting. (he is almost a year old and is skinny 10kg approx) The only PUL I would buy more of! I usually use wool.

Hi mumofesme
I use both of these covere regularly, and they are both really excellent!
Here are some points to consider:
- The Tots Bots are a little cheaper
- The Mother-ease Rikki has an extra gusset bit around the legs which means it contains blowouts better
- The Mother-ease Rikki has velcro, whicle the Air-flow has snaps
- The Mother-ease Large (9-16kg) will probably be fine in the Rikki, but the Air-flow might be a bit big as you haven't got as much variation with the snaps
- The Mother-ease ones come in nice pastel colors or patterns, the Tots Bots come in some patterns
I hope this helps,
Jessica.

I personally love the ME airflows because they have the side snaps which means they are a better fit and more adjustable for my chubby thighed, skinny waisted DS.
The PUL of the ME's are also thicker than the PUL of the TB's so it would probably last longer (having said that, both of ours are still in good nick). The binding of the ME's are also a non-absorbant material so you are unlikely to get wicking if it is touching the nappy unlike the TB's which is made of lycra.
Although I do prefer the ME's, it was still handy to have a TB's in our stash for times when I wanted a really trim nappy option because I found both ME's to be a bit 'puffy'.
