Huggies have been importing nappies from America and they are of a lesser quality than what we usually have here. Ive switched to babylove and couldnt be happier.

Have they? Since when? Don't scare me I love huggies and after trying those horror aldi nappies I'm never going to another brand.

I've noticed they look and feel a lot cheaper now and the design is different. But I've not noticed a difference in quality, ie, leaks.

Yeah I think they must have as we get leaks now and we never used to. I just got a box of babylove and they are fine

Yeah I have had a few packets/boxes lately that seem to be made poorly. I contacted Huggies about one packet where the padding down the middle of the nappy was left of centre and we were getting leaks and they replaced the packet by courier within 48 hrs of my call so at least they have a good customer service line.

I had previously tried so many other brands of nappy like Aldi and Baby Love and hated them. I ordered sample of Baby Love recently when they changed their nappy and really liked how they improved them so I am switching over.

Same! They look and feel horribly thin, cheap and not as soft as the older ones, and they leak! I would rather had paid extra for the same quality, than pay the same price for poor quality! I hope they realize their error of judgement!

If you buy babylove - make sure you buy the DryWeave ones. THey have faired better in this house than huggies IMO

I called Huggies to complain about the crappy box i had and they sent me out a replacement that same week but they were just as crap. The lady i spoke to told me they were importing from America due to a shortfall in nappies but she was unsure how long it would go on for.
I tried the babylove dryweave and they are awesome!
Huggies did have great customer support when i called them but thats not going to keep me when their product isnt up to par.

DD had her first Huggies leak today so I'll give Babylove a go to I think

It hadn't occurred to me her leaks could be the nappy - I assumed it was the gastro she's had for a week! But now u mention it!! And this whole paying the same amount for less in the box infuriates me!
We have tried baby love and every single time she gets a rash :( any other options?

We're paying more to keep the manufacturing in Australia. I haven't had any issues with mine :)

I too complained to huggies about the different leaky nappies. They sent me a box and told me that because of a shortage they had to bring some in from the US. The US ones are the leaky ones. They told me to look at the underside of the box to check where they were made.

No leaks for us as yet but you can definitely see the difference in quality. Every second box we have bought recently are the cheaper version. You can also tell by the print on them. They feel cheap. Not happy paying full price for a cheaper version! I'm going to look at other brands
