Wooppee dooo, I hear some say!
Isn't it amazing how our perceptions on what is considered a large amount of children are so very, very different!
I was just in line at woollies (yes, one of the many amazingly interesting places I get to go each day!) This pregnant lady was standing behind me laughing (on the inside) at me trying to juggle the pram and the baby, the two girls and a handful of groceries. She let out a giggle when one of my girls found the lollipop stand and knocked it flying! :o I turned around to her and said "oh, you will find out when that one pops out". She said "This is not my first". I said "well then you would already know!" She nodded and said that I only have 3, I corrected her and said one was at school so I in fact have FOUR (with a large emphasis on the word four!)
Well I then thought that this lady now felt sorry for me and that I was a poor old SAHM doing the best job she can, wrong. She absolutely floored me when she said "oh thats nothing, I have 9!" I think my jaw physically hit the ground and the only words that I could get out were "including the bump?" She said, "No, the bump makes 10!"
So back to reality. Here I am thinking I'm doing it tough with 4 and in the process of making #5. I remember when I had 3 and I used to think, OMG I have 3! It just felt like so many.
Now I realise that I am just an amateur!!!!!!
