So my 6 month old has woken up in the morning totally soaked through....
I've only used Aldi nappies at night and have found them great but this last week he is wet through to his singleton and pajamas.
He goes to bed at 7.30pm and wakes about 8am so there isn't an opportunity to change him during the night and I don't really want to wake him just to change him.
Is there some other brand or something else I could be doing to help this? It doesn't seem to bother him but I hate the fact that he's wet and probably uncomfortable.

I find babylove to be awesome overnight - I use the aldi nappies through the day.

Otherwise you could try modern cloth overnight - that's the only thing that would keep DS1 dry overnight.

I used a bamboo baby beehinds with extra boosting and a woolen cover.

My first son was like this. I used to put him in a Huggies nappy overnight with a home brand super pad lining the inside (the really thick ones for women), The nappy alone never held everything with him. Never had to do it with my second son though and the first still seems to go to the toilet alot more through the night than the second now and they are 7 and 6. I hear him get up at least once or twice a night and head to the bathroom where the other one holds on til the morning. Hope that helps. :-)

My son always wets thru too he is 21months and wears baby love nappies and almost every night he wets thru and usually wakes at 4.30am saturated he drinks alot during the day and has milk before bed so my guess is thats why it happens it's so frustrating having to change him every morning and the poor boy usually is shivering at that time of the morning.

my dd still has a issue with this. she is 2. i found that the coles brand (the one in green packaging) work wonders.

We use Aldi nappies during the day, but Huggies at night. I also go up a size when DS is about 1kg lighter than what the minimum suggested weight for the nappy is.

Ok so maybe I'll try a few other brands and maybe go up a size?
He only has 4 bottles a day and doesn't want a bar of solids. I'm not sure why it's only been happening this last week though?

I always find it worse in the cold weather. Must make them go more often.

my dd does drink ALOT of water thru out the day and still has 3 cups of milk including one before bed at night. It's not like im going to reduce her fluid intake just because no one can invent a goddamn super soaker nappy for babies that wee alot and often. ffs, it's really a joke and ive spent $100's on mcn's and all the freaking best of the best disposables!
At night we are currently using 2 disposables (woolies brand) on top of eachother for o/night and although it might not be the best in terms of comfort, at least she's not sleeping in her wee!...for now anyways!:fingerscrossed:

My DS was like this. I used Huggies at night and when he would start to wet through it generally meant going up a size.

So I bought the next size up today so we"ll see tomorrow morning if that works. If not I'll try the.double nappy.

You can try putting them in extra clothing or covers on the bed, it can be the cold weather making them wee more. We also used to use one size bigger nappy at night at well, but the extra warmth really seems to help.

We use bonds baby tails over the nappy as it holds the nappy against ds' body. Iykwim I find it leaks through the top

For those with girls try huggies boys nappies. DD is a tummy sleeper so would leak out the front top of her nappy. The boys nappies have extra padding there and worked wonders for us :-)

You might need to try babylove or huggies just for night time.

I put DS to bed in aldi and then before I go to bed I change him into a babylove - he sleeps right through it.

Wow I can't believe your bubs sleeps through a nappy change. That's awesome!!
Might try another brand for nightime.
Or maybe I should just get over it as it doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest.

Don't you have to change his bedding everyday though??

diesal444

No it doesn't get that far. He wears a sleeping bag and only his singlet and pajamas are wet. Seems the sleeping bag stops it from going onto his bedding.

My nephew was wetting through everything right down to his sleeping bag, and after trying a few things, double nappy, etc., his min double nappied but she put the second nappy on backwards so it was 'higher up' he hasn't wet thought yet! Good luck!
