View Full Version : what to do?
Hi all, this is my first time in this forum and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. In March this year my husband and I started TTC and I did straight away only to have a complete miscarriage at 5 weeks. I then conceived again, straight away, no period in between, but had another miscarriage at 8 weeks and had to have a D&C which was at the end of June. The last two months I have had regular periods but no joy in conceving. I went to an Iridologist who said my right ovary wasn't working as well as it should, I'm starting to think about this as even though I've had no problems in the past with them she also said I had digestion and stomah problems and I have just been diagnosed with a stomach bacteria and possible ulcer.
I'm just turned 33, am fit and healthy with no other ailments prior to the stomach issue.
Should I go to my obstertrician and get tests done (can't handle a third miscarriage until they do tests) or visit a natropath to discuss?
Any ideas, this is now strating to get me down.

hi holly - "trying" to concieve can sometimes be the hardest thing. Although my situation was different to yours we tryed for 5 years before falling with DS1 (I had endometriosis) and we went through the ringer with Dr's / gyno's before finding out about a Naturopath specialising in fertility - what a turnaround that was.
Not only was it the most informed we felt about the whole situation, it was also the healthiest we had felt in years!
In short, what I am trying to say is that a good naturopath is amazing, they have a holistic approach (look at the whole body, lifestyle etc), not just treating the problem at hand. We had to make dietary and lifestyle changes, but in the end it was worth it cause we fell naturally (after trying IVF) with DS1. The main focus of this naturopath is making the egg and the sperm the healthiest they can possibly be before you concieve. If you want more details PM me.
Your PM mailbox is full!! I'm in Sydney as well and would appreciate recommendations. My husband and eat only healthy foods, don't smoke, hardly drink so are at a loss!
Hi Holly
I, too, am a big fan of good naturopaths. I was very ill a few years back (a big, bad dose of glandular fever) and found a great naturopath who slowly helped me heal. She used iridology, among other things, to diagnose lots of underlying problems with my body, including stomach problems. It took almost two years, but we finally got to the point where my immune system was working again and I felt healthy. It was only at that point that we all agreed (naturopath, me and DH) that I could ttc. We were successful in our second month, although I miscarried early on. I'm now pg again (7 wks) - and if anything went wrong this time (although it won't :) ), I'd go straight back to my naturopath, as well as booking in to see a specialist.
Good luck!
