Do you have ideas?
I was looking at doing some fun activites with my bub...
As summer is upon us i was going to try and find a heated pool that does mums and bubs activities but dont know where to look.. I live in Sth Brisbane ...
Also does anyone else have some fun activities that i can do with my six (6) month old...
I go to playgroup one day a fortnight but want to get out a little more..
Our bub was 6 months in summer last year, and she absolutely loved her wading pool. We'd only put 2 inches or so of water in, and had to hold her all the time, but it was great on the really hot days, with some fun colourful toys she could play with in there. Great for me too - even that little amount of water did wonders when trying to cool off. We also occasionally just plonked her in the laundry tub for a bit of a play, which she loved cos she could play with the taps too.
Maybe a walk to a nearby park and have lunch there for a change? Our bub also loved to just sit under the tree in the backyard and watch the leaves blowing in the breeze and birds flying by. Another fun activity was to scrunch up a few colourful pieces of paper (even the junk mail catalogues were good) for her to play with and hear the sounds and feel the different textures.
PS: I think Corinda public pool has a heated kids pool with activities and fun water toys. We're gonna take our little one there this year - the kids pool is shaded too.
Umm, if I think of anything else, I'll let you know!
Have fun!

Hi
I use to nanny in Brisbane and found a few really great places to visit for days out with babies & toddlers...
Newmarket Pool- has toddlers pools, slides, heated pool, playground & great for little ones
Southbank- Unfortunately its not heated well but can have lots of fun playing in the sand and swimming around... They are currently re newing a section especially for young families to make a toddler pool also
John Carew Swim school (Indroopilly)- Heated indoor pools for swimming lessons from babies up...
Roma Street Parklands are also great. The gardens are beautiful, great for walks, take a picnic along and also has a playground for kids & a small train ride I think...(If its still there lol).
Chandler Olympic pool is also great. (long drive out though...) But caters for babies and toddlers :)
Hope these help :)

Chandler pool is good  We took Summer there last year when she was only about 8 months old & she loved it. There's a little area for the younger ones to swim in too.
Megan loves music and loves singing. I find it is a fun way to play with her, and it also relaxes both of us. (and it is free!!!)
we took aiden to the park a lot at that age. he had fun just lookin at different things. and watching and feeding ducks!
i think the yeronga (or yerongpilly) pool has a kids area. if you look on ourbrisbane.com you can find parks for different suburbs, any events that are going on around bris (even FREE ones!!) and you can also find the different council pools, and it will say which ones have kids areas etc.
also going to the library. aiden loves it, and its air conditioned so its a good way to stay cool.
if i think of anything else ill let you know
oh and roma st park is good, they still do have the little train ride through the park.they also do a guided walk for parents with kids under 5 on wed mornings at about 10. (cant remember if its weekly, fortnightly or monthly)
and aiden loves getting the train in there! he thinks the train and the bus are GREAT!!! and off peak tickets are a good way to go.
