slimy cervix? TMI sorry

Hey ladies, i have a weird question for ya, spec those ladies who are pg or have had babies, and they check their cervix.
Sorry its a bit TMI.

I think yesterday or the day before was the first time i noticed this, but when i checked my CP, it felt like it was covered in really thick slime, my CM is very creamy too.

Has anyone been pg and had that?

Hmm can't say mine felt slimey or thick cm.
Im not ususally a big checker, but mine was up high, the base felt like your nose and the top felt like your lips, and felt moist.
I have also read if your cervix is purple, your pregnant, but my DH was not happy when i suggested he go in search of "purple tresure"

My god I can't figure anything out up there!!!
I have been tryna do the cervical exam thing and I can't distinguish one thing from another. How the heck do you do it?? Hw far up do you have to probe???
I have lots of creamy CM too W&H, when I was preg with Xavier I had heaps all the way through sometimes had to wear a pantyliner.
Sorry can't help with the cervix thing, I'm still tryna poke around (well not this very second LOL) it but it makes feel queazy like I'm gonna :barf: when I have to do it, it's so gross up there!!:eek:

This is what i do:
sit on the loo after washing my hands, then i insert my middle finger till i reach something that right now feels like the end of my nose, kinda firm, with a tiny little dip in the middle. Normally it feels smooth and slightly wet, but now it really feels covered in thick gooey slime :barf: sorry.....

Hope this helps to get you to manage to feel yours.
Yep i have to wear a liner all the time right now cos of the creamy CM. Hows your pain julie? My feels like i have AF, but without the blood, ive had to stop cleaning my house, it was that bad ...

Sorry to gate crash here but I was just wanting to know what would your CP be if you wern't pregnant? My understanding is that it is high for Ovulation and pregnancy, but does it lower for AF straight away or does it take the 12 days.

i have always found that a few days before AF is due, my cp is very low and soft and very open, which i am so glad its not currently open, hopefully it stays that way :fingerscrossed:

Hey W&H, your chart is looking great:smiliedance: I think I've already told you before that I had increased CM in my TWW when I conceived.

My CP wasn't really high like pre ovulation but it didn't get as low as it normally would around af time.

Apparently it can take until you're about 10 weeks pregnant for it to be really high and soft.
