Hi

Our little bundle of joy arrrived on Saturaday (1/10) :) and refuses to settle and sleep on his back. He screams within 2 minutes of being put down. We have tried swaddling him (which he also dislikes) and putting him on his back, a dummy, rasing the mattress to a slight incline, placing him between a sleep support but nothing has worked.

I am looking at buying a beathing monitor so that he can sleep on his stomach and so I don't have to worry so much. Does anyone now a good one, or even if they are worth buying?

Thanks
Belinda

Congratulations on you new arrival. We have an Angelcare monitor. It is both a sound and movement monitor. I thoroughly recommend it. There have been other threads on it that you may want to look up. I'm pretty sure that they are in this category "product recommendation". You can buy the monitor at most baby shops or target. We paid about $175.00 - $200.00.

I wish your little family all the best over the comming weeks. Don't worry - it gets easier!

I recommend the angel care monitor as well. We didnt use the movement one that much though as DS was a back sleeper so we werent overly worried but if your baby is a tummy snoozer I would get one asap.

Bailey always refused to sleep on his stomach too due to the nurses at hospital sleeping him on his stomach while he was in the humidicrib to help him breathe. We brought a breathing monitor . Its a Baby sense 2, it cost us like $200, we actually got the brochure out of our bounty bag, it worked wonders.
