Very Confused

My DH and I have been TTC for about three months now. I have been off the pill for 6 months and in that time my periods have come every 27 days like clockwork. I am pretty in tune with my body and can usually pick all my PMS symptoms etc.

Anyway, my period is 5 days late. I have slight cramping, tender breasts and some tiredness. I have done three HPT's, all of which have come back negative. I guess I am not sure what is happening. Is it common for your body to not produce enough HCG to be detected so early? Should I go and have a blood test? Or, is my body just playing tricks on me?

I am no expert but saw your post sitting here. I would probably wait till AF was week late. I know waiting is hard, some times it feels like all we do is wait when we are TTC. Waiting for AF to finish, waiting to O, then the TWW......it sure can test our patience.

I am currently waiting for AF to finish......

So back to you, sometimes there might not be enough HCG early on, so if you can wait a few more days, hold out and do another test. Then if still no AF you could go get a bloodtest?

If its absolutely killing you not knowing, go ask for a blood test tomorrow, whats your GP like?

I'm TTC as well (although this is our first attempt), I have looked right into it and some of the supermarket tests are ****.
Im quite sure I am pg but period is not due until tomorrow. I have had 3 neg tests but got onto a really good site where the ladies talk about DPO (days past ovulation). Some of the women dont show a positive test until 16DPO and the tests can change over the hours of the day... what I mean is that some women test in the morning with a negative result and that night they test again and show a positive.
When is your next period due?

My GP is fantastic so I will have no prob asking for a blood test. In fact he will be over the moon if I am preg. (have been going to him since I was born). I might wait a few more days and then test again. If I don't get a positive, then I will go to the Doc. Kande, my AF is now 5 days late, so that is why I am so confused.
