DD is just on two months, so pretty alert and interested in the world. I was just wondering what others do during the day to keep them entertained and stimulated? We:
Talk a lot!
Bit of time looking out the window/watch me make breakfast or whatever while in the bouncy chair
Time on the floor mat looking and occasionally swiping at toys
Tummy time - a whole minute at a time :/
I wear her so when we're doing something like hanging out the washing she's watching and I talk to her
She loves pants off time during changes so I'll string them out and give her little massages, naming body parts or actions (clap hands together, feet against Mummy etc)
If we go out (eg shopping, post office) I'll describe her environment and if she takes an interest in something we'll spend some time looking/describing

...but that's about it. What else can we do? i'm getting bored :(

I just left Ds to his own devices mostly, if he was happy he was on the floor or in his bouncer let do his own thing.

If he was cranky he was nursed and put to sleep,

He was a very cruisy newbie though

All those things are great! I've got a 10 week old DD and she loves laying in front of the mirror. Also when I lay her on her mat she loves waving her arms about and is delighted when she manages to swipe the hanging fairy or turtle. She also likes going for walks in the pram.

That's a great list!

I used to also sing a lot, especially songs with actions like incy wincy spider etc and just regular songs too.

Hey there, here's a list from another thread (chat for mum's of bubs born july 2011)

Take a walk in the pram, point out the trees, birds, etc.
Sing bubby a silly song or poem, pull faces!
Put on music and dance with her in your arms
Get a towel or blanket and swing her gently in it
Sit outside on the grass, play outside, or let her roll around without a nappy on a blankie (glad to hear you already do this one!)
Rattle-wapping to music
Juggle or throw soft balls or ballons around above her
Act out a play with her toys (romeo and Juliet adaptation, anyone?)
Play peakaboo with a towel in front of your face, or a game with a hat over your face...later she'll do the pulling off of the hat for you!

Enjoy...cheers!
