Hi - my name is michelle

I was diagnosed with primary ovarian failure at age 15,

im now 27 and have been married for almost 7 years.

myself and my husband have had two failed attempts at ivf

using an egg donor (my best friend) in the uk.

3 months after the last cycle of ivf we found out that i had ovulated and that i was 6 weeks pregnant !!!!!

we were over the moon - i carried for 40 weeks and gave birth to the most beautiful little boy in nov 2002 !!

since then i have had many more blood tests and it looks like the ovulation was a 1 off - we moved over to western australia 2 years ago and are desperate for another baby -

when you cant just fall pregnant is so hard every day when its always in the back of your mind - even more so when my little boy asks if we can please get him a brother or sister -

he said we could go to the baby shop and pick a nice 1

We would love the chance to have another child as we know we have so much to offer -

We will always thank our lucky stars for our little boy and dont want to seem greedy - we know how many people would love the chance to have just 1 -

if there is any one who would be interested in being a donor for us please get in contact -

thankyou for taking the time to read on - i do waffle a bit !!

mchelle x

It must be very hard to come to terms with whay you have gone through, but how lucky your are that you have 1 healthy baby. I do wish you all the Best in the search of that someone special to give you another child and sibling for your child.

Hi Michelle

We have been very fortunate after quite a few ups and downs to get offered donor embryos, we decided we liked the idea of 'adopting embryo's' rather than having an egg donor when we got the choice, we had two embryos transfered in september and I am now pregnant.

You can find all my posts if you click on my name and choose posts by this member? and that will tell you a bit of our journey.

Good luck with your search

L,

Read your post with great interest. My husband prefers the idea of embryo donation and like you says it's more like adoption.

How long were you on a waiting list to be offered the embryos, are you pregnant with 1 or two ?

Really encouraging,
Alice.
