So for a couple of weeks now dd1 has been acting like a tiny teenager( mood swings galore) anyway onight i heard her crying in bed so i went to see what was wrong.
She said she was crying because she remembers what it was like being little. I asked her what she meant and she said 'i remember when we had the tree in the backyard, now it's gone. When we went to the playground and we didn't have a trampoline, it was so fun" and kept crying!
WTF she sounded like a 40 year old reminiscing about how good her old life was before she got old:banghead2:
So i was just wondering if this emotional stuff is normal at this age and how long does it last?

I think it is the age yes, my dd who's about to turn 6 is an emotional basket case at times. Since putting her on our sugar, gluten and vegan diet full time it has def calmed her down. Food is a HUGE factor in these situations, yes it's normal but these things should be factored in :)

Mine is nearly 7 and acts like a mini-teen a lot of the time. I suspect it's kind of normal - I've seen many others doing the same thing.

Yep, DD has crazy emotional episodes as well - we recently traded our old crappy car in for a brand new one, and she cried saying goodbye to the old car, and even made a card for it saying "Dear car, I am going to miss you, love from S". Even a couple of weeks on she still gets upset thinking about the old car.

Thanks for that, i just wasn't sure if it's 'normal' behavior for that age bracket, so glad i'm not the only one who hs noticed this:p

Oh yeah! Definitely mini teenager here too. I don't know if I should laugh or cry at the fact i have more dramas with my 5 year old then I do with my 15 year old (yes, both girls). I really did think start to think it was something I was doing wrong... Thank you lovely ladies of BH for yet again reassuring me its just a stage and it's normal... And it too shall pass. Eventually. I hope.
