Hi Kobe! I used to live in St Andrews and still travel out to macarthur square frequently so I'm sure we could somehow arrange to meet up around there! Sorry for the late reply, I forgot to come back and check the thread. I will look you up on facebook now :)

Hi ladies, I'm in Bankstown so not too far away, and I don't mind getting out of my area occasionally

31, just had my first baby a little over 2 weeks ago, finding my feet with it all as I learn how to care for this very high maintenance pet! :) Would love to make some mum friends, my husband is scared that if I don't I'll succumb to the lure of daytime TV ;). Save me from myself!

Hey! Welcome!
Hahaha your husband sounds like my fiancé his on my back every day about making some other mumma friends lol, I'm due with my first in about 3 weeks an very clueless still iv been more ok with the high maintenance pet (I can leave them home alone in the yard for hours apparently I'm not aloud to do that with said child....) lol I'm joking by the way! Did you have a boy or a girl?

I had a girl we named Ella May. We kept the sex a surprise for ourselves until she was born. My husband wanted a boy, but said he'd settle for a boy with a vagina (our kid is going to be seriously messed up!). Do you know what you're having? Yeah I've been teasing him that I'm gonna watch Passions (is that even still on?).

We're a bit concerned that our high maintenance pet hasn't learned to use the litter box with the cats yet

Which hospital are you having your baby at?

Aww that's a cute name!
Bwahaha mmmm that is a concern about the kitty litter though I hope she doesn't start clawing at the lounge lol

I was to impatient wait and find out we are having a boy at campbelltown because Camden hospital closed there maternity ward which is annoying cause I'm so close to it,
Where did u have Ella?

Bankstown Hospital. Wasn't real happy there though, some of the midwives were bi-atches! Hope your experience is nicer. My husband wanted to know the sex early but I'd already got him to agree to keep it a surprise before I got pregnant, and then I didn't back down ;). Next time we'll find out earlier though, he won't fall for that trick twice!

IV been heaps unhappy about the midwife I have been seeing, I see them at Camden but giving birth at campbelltown, haven't found any nice midwifes yet can't images campbelltowns going to be any better lol

There were so many horrid ones at Bankstown. I told my mother they'd probably worked together so long, their periods were synchronised and we'd caught them at the wrong time of the month

Hey!! Thanks for replying to the thread and congrats on your new arrival! I'm having this bubba at bankstown hospital- if I had a choice I wouldn't be!! I've got an appt with the head ob there next tues and will more than likely be given a date for induction or c/sec due to complications so I expect to have this bub in the next week or two woo hoo! Hopefully after that we could make a day to get together :)

Would be happy to meet up with you, and good luck in the eviction of your little tennant :)

I hope your experience at Bankstown is better than mine was

I hope so too! What was so bad about your experience there? I had my first daughter there (almost 9 years ago) and I guess my only problem with them was certain midwives who were nasty but there were also alot of good ones too. This time round I've hated the staff at the antenatal clinic!! I hope they're better in the birthing unit and maternity ward. Im actually going to the birthing unit today to have CTG monitoring so I might get a glimpse of what they're like then!

The day assessment team? I only met one and she was fine. labour ward and maternity midwives were rude and made me feel like crap. There were good ones but the bad ones were bad enough to really stand out and there were so many of them while I was there! As you aren't a first time mum though they might be less likely to bother you as you've done it all before and they can't make you feel like you don't know what you're doing :)

Nah I just had to go to the birthing unit. I was there for less than an hour and every time someone came in it was a different midwife! I hope that's not a sign of how birth will be! Yes they prob will leave me to it, although they may treat me even worse if I have questions coz they'll think I'm wasting their time or something. Oh well only time will tell and unfortunately it's out of our control. I just wish baby would come now, I want it out!
How's ur little girl doing?

OK, apart from the fact she's currently having a no-sleep marathon. I need to find out who slipped her some speed, or made her 50 coffees......;)
